  1. He's right. Why the **** didn't the ref consult VAR for the disallowed goal? If he'd consulted it and still disallowed it fair enough (although I think that would be the wrong decision), but to not even look is ****ing disgraceful.
  2. Oh and Hazard looked very fresh. Nice he could be rested on Thursday for their meaningless match, but we did not have that luxury in our "played on the same day to be fair" match
  3. I don't understand why some are calling our performance rubbish. Yes we parked the bus in the first half. But it worked, we kept it to 0-0 at half time as planned. I'm sure MH's plan was to try to hold them off for about 60-70 minutes and then bring on Tadic/Gabbi to try and nick it. Unfortunately Giroud did it to us again just after half time. We had a legitimate goal disallowed, Austin hit the post, their GK somehow managed to keep that Redmond shot out, and Long messed up when clear on goal. Chelsea were of course the better team, but we weren't rubbish. With a bit of luck and better refereeing we could've got a result against a superior squad.
  4. That's a massive understatement.
  5. If we have an owner who's prepared to spend the required dosh. All indications are that Mr. Invisible has no such intention. Hope I'm wrong.
  6. Yes indeed, look at the squad he's got to work with, packed with outstanding players and one or two world class ones. What Puel did with our mangy lot last season is far more impressive.
  7. Crushing home defeat today. Such a shame. Which means their playoff hopes are now about as slim as our survival's.
  8. This.
  9. I think that's exactly what's happened. When MH signed wasn't it reported that his contract included a £1 million (or maybe 2) bonus for keeping us up? I doubt there's much (if anything) for a cup win. So there's every incentive for him to rest players on Sunday.
  10. Nigel Pearson.
  11. I see Chelsea are resting Hazard and Willian tonight for their meaningless match. Nice that our do-or-die match was scheduled tonight "to make it fair."
  12. Muppets in the gallery looking nervous.
  13. It's the hope that kills you.
  14. Me too, but we should still keep an eye on Marquez.
  15. With Mr. Invisible in control I doubt we'll be a big fish in the small pond. Unless by small pond you mean League 1 or 2. Yep.
  16. A very good chance we won't be. We've been selling our crown jewels as a PL league team. Imagine how much worse it's going to be if we go down.
  17. Better late than never, but if he'd rightly been sent off I doubt we would've lost (probably won). The ref should be charge too, for gross incompetence.
  18. Yes, provided we brought in a goal scorer or two.
  19. This would be nice: https://www.theguardian.com/world/2018/feb/19/brazilian-football-match-abandoned-after-mass-brawl-involving-nine-players
  20. I can only think of one reason why Puel would want to do us a favour. Oh wait a minute, no I can't.
  21. We've been needing one ever since Pelle/Mane were sold.
  22. Of course the problems up front were a major contribution. As long as people compare Puel's season with the one(s) before it then Mane and Pelle not being adequately replaced has to be brought up. There are other factors too, more games, Fonte fiasco, VVD and Austin injured, etc., etc. The Puel hate mob willfully continue to ignore this.
