  1. But surely simply not getting promoted would be the end of them? Can't see BC wasting any more money on wages next season in another futile attempt to go up. I'd expect the best the few could hope for is that he'll keep them on life support until the parachute payments dry up. It's such a shame.
  2. I thought first place was rightfully ours?
  3. I think they ought to appeal the red card for an unlucky right hook on an opposing player, squeeze one more game out of him while the appeal is laughed at, and then send him packing back to Stoke to pay his wages (with heartfelt thanks) for the 10 game suspension he'll get for appealing the GBH. After all, they'll need every penny now that their superstar Ben-Haim has returned. Shame they can't cheat their way to Wembley this year. Never mind Cheats, there's always next year ... if you exist, of course.
  4. I think we can safely assume that the last thing both managers want is a replay. To avoid a draw, how could they agree to avoid one? Maybe a gentleman's agreement that if one side is winning with 5 minutes left, the losing team agrees not to score in the remaining minutes? Or, if it's tied with 5 minutes left, one prearranged team (e.g. the one losing the toss) "accidentally" scores an own goal or concedes a penalty? All hypothetically of course. Although if this was played in Germany a real possibility.
  5. http://www.saintsweb.co.uk/showthread.php?14620-Pompey-Takeover-Saga&p=914885#post914885 As predicted and we weren't let down. (And a pm wasn't needed). Why am I having a hard time picturing that?
  6. Probably not, but most of the few certainly are, he knows it, and that's why he continues to spout the BS.
  7. He's baaaaaack.
  8. ... as opposed to hitting it first time into row Z.
  9. Yes, but the "Football Disciplinary Commission which has the power to impose such penalties as it shall think fit" part is so much more satisfying.
  10. Definitely play Lallana, even if only for a few minutes: cup-tied makes him a little bit less tempting to the PL clubs sniffing around.
  11. So close, and yet so far. I'd love to see the look on Corpse Whore's face if that were to happen. It would go straight into BC's pockets, just before he liquidates them.
  12. Phew, from the thread title I thought it may have been about the ruddy faced one.
  13. Swindon have accepted bids from Wigan, Brum, QPR and Saints? Tarts!
  14. His Mum, for starters.
  15. From the title of this thread I was a bit concerned it was going to be about them getting plastered. (If Whiskey George were still here that would probably have been the case.)
  16. I'd settle for them finishing 7th.
  17. Me too. It was mainly downhill from there.
  18. My feelings when NA was appointed were the same when NP was appointed: cautiously optimistic. Now, I'm ... cautiously optimistic. Still early days.
  19. Dean Wilkins certainly proved that.
  20. Forget "scummers" or "skates". Cheats FC.
  21. Some of them hate Cheats FC too, so they're not all bad. http://www.northstandchat.com/showthread.php?188861-Pompey............Fu**-Me
  22. Yes, but isn't Dagenham north of the arctic circle?
  23. I hope so. Bringing in a good striker during the window would help.
  24. 5 more home games played than away (13 played at home so far, only 8 away). I've never seen such a discrepancy before. Given Saints rather weak away form (W3 D1 L4) am I the only one a bit worried?
  25. You should've seen his other rant. Classic stuff. Keep them coming holepuncture. http://www.saintsweb.co.uk/showthread.php?14620-Pompey-Takeover-Saga&p=914564#post914564
