He still looks a bit of a liability in that sometimes he gives the impression of day dreaming And faffing about . look at the scousers shot into the side netting at the end. Also there was a camera on him at one stage on sky last night . His stomach blubber was there to see through his grey shirt . Still a class keeper though

We win today and yet there are those on here who are not happy with our team and always want to find fault in one off our players .

Lance Corporal James Ashworth's courage was hailed as "beyond words" by friends who served with him until his death last June.

Looking at the history of the skates seems like history is repeating itself The first major football club in Portsmouth was Royal Artillery F.C. The club lost its standing after being suspended by the Football Associatiion for having violated their amateur status by taking players away for a week’s special training before an Amateur Cup-tie. Out of this debacle, it was decided to form a professional club called Portsmouth FC, although this name had earlier been used for a team formed by the renowned local architect Arthur Cogswell. And then a fans based group took over The scene of the 1898 formation was the office of Alderman J.E. Pink, solicitor of John Brickwood, the owner of local Brickwoods Brewery. He called together a group of local enthusiasts, amongst whom were G. Lewin Oliver, headmaster of a prominent local school, and W. Wigginton, a former Royal Engineers Warrant officer, to form a syndicate and share their resources to buy a patch of land in Fratton on which to build a football ground. Fratton then was agricultural land off Goldsmith Avenue in the heart of the city. So the fans in 2013 plan to follow the footsteps of their predecessors . Ha Bloody Ha

David James is set to continue his career in Iceland with IBV Vestmannaeyjar rumoured to be ready to offer the veteran a short term deal TalkSport understands. The former England goalkeeper, 42, is now a free agent after his deal with League One side Bournemouth came to an end this week by mutual consent. James hadn’t played for the Cherries since mid January and had fallen behind Shawn Jalal and Ryan Allsop in the pecking order. But James is being given the opportunity to extend his career in Iceland thanks to a former teammate. Hermann Hreidarsson, who played with James for four years between 2006-10 is now in charge of IBV after originally joining them as a player following a short stint at Coventry City last year. It is thought that Hreidarsson is looking to convince James to join the club on a short term deal to provide some valuable experience. IBV play in the Urvalsdeild Karla (The Men’s Select Division,) which is the top tier of Icelandic football. Last season they finished in third place and qualified for the first qualifying round of the Europa League, but they failed to make it to the group stages. The Icelandic season doesn’t begin until May, so there is time for Hreidarsson to convince his former teammate to join up. James is said to still be considering retirement, but always one for new experiences, a short term deal could appeal to the custodian as he looks to end his career on a high.

Sun said yesterday they had an exclusive on his time in Rehab. So for me they were the succesive bidders. From todays current bun Booze fightback ... Gazza Exclusive By STEPHEN MOYES and TOM WELLS Published: 8 hrs ago 5 PAUL Gascoigne told last night how a DVD message from family and friends including Sir Alex Ferguson helped save his life. Gazza, 45, was played the Man United boss’s words as he battled his drink demons in a US rehab clinic. He said: “He told me everyone at United was rooting for me.” Fergie, 71, was among a host of friends and relatives who filmed contributions to an emotional video shown to alcoholic Gazza as part of his treatment in America. And Gazza, now home in the UK after a five-week stint in an Arizona clinic, admitted their heartfelt messages spurred him on as he fought his way back from the very brink of death. Hypo I agree but you can be sure he is getting thousands from the sun for selling his soul to them

Treesaint he was an overpaid footballer who scored a goal . That's all . A hero is someone that puts him or herself in danger with no respect to themselves to rescue or save others . Going beyond the call of duty .

How easy it is to buy an assault rifle legally in the US...

I forgot to add Daryl Scotts Poem Your laws ignore our deepest needs, Your words are empty air. You've stripped away our heritage, You've outlawed simple prayer. Now gunshots fill our classrooms, And precious children die. You seek for answers everywhere, And ask the question "Why?" You regulate restrictive laws, Through legislative creed. And yet you fail to understand, That God is what we need! -

I read the story of the father of one of the victims see below. He point s the fingers at specific people not the NRA They were not prepared for what he was to say, nor was it received well. It needs to be heard by every parent, every teacher, every politician, every sociologist, every psychologist, and every so-called expert! These courageous words spoken by Darrell Scott are powerful, penetrating, and deeply personal. There is no doubt that God sent this man as a voice crying in the wilderness.. The following is a portion of the transcript: "Since the dawn of creation there has been both good & evil in the hearts of men and women. We all contain the seeds of kindness or the seeds of violence. The death of my wonderful daughter, Rachel Joy Scott, and the deaths of that heroic teacher, and the other eleven children who died must not be in vain. Their blood cries out for answers. "The first recorded act of violence was when Cain slew his brother Abel out in the field. The villain was not the club he used.. Neither was it the NCA, the National Club Association. The true killer was Cain, and the reason for the murder could only be found in Cain's heart. "In the days that followed the Columbine tragedy, I was amazed at how quickly fingers began to be pointed at groups such as the NRA. I am not a member of the NRA. I am not a hunter. I do not even own a gun. I am not here to represent or defend the NRA - because I don't believe that they are responsible for my daughter's death. Therefore I do not believe that they need to be defended. If I believed they had anything to do with Rachel's murder I would be their strongest opponent. I am here today to declare that Columbine was not just a tragedy -- it was a spiritual event that should be forcing us to look at where the real blame lies! Much of the blame lies here in this room. Much of the blame lies behind the pointing fingers of the accusers themselves. I wrote a poem just four nights ago that expresses my feelings best. Men and women are three-part beings. We all consist of body, mind, and spirit. When we refuse to acknowledge a third part of our make-up, we create a void that allows evil, prejudice, and hatred to rush in and wreak havoc. Spiritual presences were present within our educational systems for most of our nation's history. Many of our major colleges began as theological seminaries. This is a historical fact. What has happened to us as a nation? We have refused to honor God, and in so doing, we open the doors to hatred and violence. And when something as terrible as Columbine's tragedy occurs -- politicians immediately look for a scapegoat such as the NRA. They immediately seek to pass more restrictive laws that contribute to erode away our personal and private liberties. We do not need more restrictive laws. Eric and Dylan would not have been stopped by metal detectors. No amount of gun laws can stop someone who spends months planning this type of massacre. The real villain lies within our own hearts. "As my son Craig lay under that table in the school library and saw his two friends murdered before his very eyes, he did not hesitate to pray in school. I defy any law or politician to deny him that right! I challenge every young person in America , and around the world, to realize that on April 20, 1999, at Columbine High School prayer was brought back to our schools. Do not let the many prayers offered by those students be in vain. Dare to move into the new millennium with a sacred disregard for legislation that violates your God-given right to communicate with Him. To those of you who would point your finger at the NRA -- I give to you a sincere challenge.. Dare to examine your own heart before casting the first stone! My daughter's death will not be in vain! The young people of this country will not allow that to happen!" -

I was on my way back from edinburgh Yesterday And I saw the various news paper headlines, about Gascoigne returning to the UK yesterday. Clearly gascoigne has sold hios soul to the sun , but it was three other papers that effed me off with headings such as A suntanned Hero gascoinge returned to the UK and Hero gascoinge returns home , Hero Gascoigne overcomes alcohol addiction First Gascoigne is not a hero, never will be and never has been. As for the overcoming his addiction , he hasnt , it takes years to overcome the addiction, not a month in a rehab clinic. Also how can he said he heard 3 doctors say he was dead. he was so out of it. I know papers sensationalise the storeis but he is not a hero
