As for fuel economy there won't be much difference either way.

It'll be ok Dog but it ain't good for the car if you drive it hard, the valves etc work better with high octane fuel. It should be re-mapped specifically to run on better fuel too so you get the most out of it. I had a Leon Cupra R not so long ago and had a revo map put onto it, it made a massive difference to the performance although was quite aggressive. What car have you got, if it's anything VAG take it to JKM in Portsmouth, their very good.

IMO at times he completely switches off, loses a yard and ends up in a pickle. Seems to happen a little to frequently at the moment too.
