I notice that website says that Paul Wotton is the fourth worst player, overall, in the world.

Decided to go and take my 4 year old. I am a big lad unsuprisingly called Sean, with shaved head wearing a blue 86 retro tee, will be in northam club with a hopefully excited daughter called Grace on sat morning!!

I am still laughing at the suggestion in the newspaper article above that John Utaka is worth eight million quid. Can't see the linked clubs paying anywhere near that.

The Hypnotic by the Roots. Not many hip hop tunes are particularly sad, per se, however this one is a cracker. The mc tells a story about losing touch with a girl he fell for one summer but fell out of touch with when he starting going on tour. When he tries to hook up with her again after a while has passed, he finds out she is dead. Blinding production on the track too, trippy beat with some awesome layered D'Angelo harmonies over the top. Sounds like a perfect chilled summer joint save for the depressing subject matter.

LOL at the comments, some bloke ridiculously includes as part of his post that he has just bought an MX5. Why would you post that? Must be a hairdresser - lol

I am moving into a new place, a stones throw from St Marys. Yesterday I went for a proper look round, and the place is lovely, and I have agreed to move in. But the thing that made me chuckle was the fact there is a Liebherr fridge freezer, had to laugh when I spotted the post on that Pimpey forum. I do like the sound of this though, in principle I would be proud to be associated with a club that can count the manafacturers of "extreme" dumper trucks, The World's Most Powerful Crane and some of the biggest machinery in the world - how cool is that??? So lets hope when I get moved in I can fill this Liebherr beauty up with a shedload of beer. Now where can I buy me some Feldschlösschen???

Begbies traynor led by Mark Fry recently (April 09) helped Varshavsky take over some big company in admin. he is a coal/steel/oil Russian dude, probably loaded. Maybe Fry kept hold of his number and has now tapped him up to have a look at taking us over - lol

Was just going to give Master Bates mad props for use of "flid". That is a proper old school playground insult, fond memories of using that during my halcyon schooldays. Will be making an effort to use it on my mates over the weekend, particularly whilst playing cricket. "That was never out umpire, you flid"

LOL that is exactly what I do. I recently read all of Hubert Selby's works and am currently doing the same with Nelson Algren. Back in the day when I was at Uni I did the same with Stephen King. George Pelecanos and Richard Price are the next two authors i am preparing to obsess over for a few months
-
You have probably read it Baj but if not The Stand by Stephen King is a good old read. It deals with those sort of themes, has a kick ass baddie, and is regarded as one of King's classics.

Not sure what to make of this; can't see many on here would have found the Swiss unpopular if they had stepped in once Pinnacle exclusivity had run out, slammed the bid in took over under MLT's nose. In fact, although I would have liked to have seen Tiss come good, I would have welcomed the Swiss just to get the bloody thing over and done with.

"Matt - see if you can get that clever clogs piece of slash off Countdown to give up her mobile number"

My flatmate is a friend of Gordon Watson and Nigel Pearson (his son is being eyed up by Leicester apparently). He told me well over a week ago that from speaking to those two he had heard Pinnacle didn't have a pot in which to urinate. My blind faith and the fact that I did not want to be labelled a n0ob ITK tosser prevented me from posting anything on here or indeed believing this was true, however as soon as I saw the bizarre David Gest/comedy vampire hybrid visage of Michael Fialka my hopes were dashed and inner fears confirmed. What a joke. Am going to stop at Aldi and buy a load of cheapo lager and get wasted tonight.

I was listening to Sky Valley the other day whilst trying to put together a massive flat pack wardrobe. My frustration and anger were tempered by the filthy stoner rawk riffery. Today I am listening to a few comedy CDs I dug out, peter Cook and Chris Morris "Why Bother?" and a hilarious prank phonecall album by some Scottish comedians called The Hang Ups - sort of like the Jerky Boys but from Paisley. Very amusing.

Anyone grumbling about the plight of clubs in this country should check out what they did in the Jupiler League in Belgium. In order to obtain a Belgian football license, clubs are required to demonstrate that they have no excessive debts, a secure stadium etc. Failure to meet with these standards sees the club banished to the lower tiers of the Belgian League. If a system like this was introduced in this country, we would see the debt-o-mungous likes of Liverpool get booted out of the Premier League, never mind Saints, Luton, Leeds et al.

Awesome band, awesome record. they are sadly missed. Saw them live a couple of times, very entertaining indeed. I am listening to the "Gummo" OST, nineteen tracks of underground metal and grindcore, absolutely superb. Some of the bands, like Eyehategod, Brujeria and Sleep I have heard of, but there are some real gems from groups I have never heard before. Depending on the battery on the old MP3 player, next I am going to chill with a bit of My Morning Jacket.

LOL. If it makes any difference to my credibility, my "other" favourite game is Castlevania: Symphony of The Night. p.s. Baj if you are who I think you are, pretty sure I used to sit a few seats along from you in the Northam going back a few years?

No offence taken dude, however it is only my personal opinion and preference, doesn't stop me writing objectively about other games! If you want to check out some of the reviews I have written online they are on http://www.ntsc-uk.domino.org , check out the "about us" bit and I am Sean Smith on there. I have also written at length for Retro Gamer magazine, including interviews with Yuji Naka, the creators of the King Of Fighters series, the Capcom Ghosts & Goblins team and the creators of the Virtua Fighter franchise. Yes, I am fond of fighting games

I have been playing videogames since about 1984, I write about games for a living and still play games pretty much every day or every other day. Bearing that in mind, I can honestly say my favourite would have to be Street Fighter IV. I have never played a game as much, I miss it when I don't play it, and from the moment I first played it in a packed arcade in London all those months ago I was hooked. Took me right back to the first time I got to play Street Fighter 2 (in Ocean Village iirc), to the halcyon days when arcade gaming was alive and well, and a visiting funfair or even a trip to a working mans club with my old man guaranteed arcade thrills. A phenomenal game. By the way, if anyone fancies a game my Xbox gamertag is Big Seany 1979 I am on most evenings!

Currently reading David Simon's Homicide for the second time. Just finished reading The Man With The Golden Arm by Nelson Algren (which was a masterpiece) and also a book about Robin Friday called "The Greatest Footballer You Never Saw" which was fabulous. Once Homicide is out of the way got a real mixed bag. Ted Dibiase's autobiography, which is probably all religious and boring, another couple of Algren books, will probably have a go at reading Hubert Selby Jr's "The Room" which I am assured is one of the most disturbing novels ever written. One for the bus into work, then.

Harmison is in excellent form at the moment - thirty wickets in his last six games - and along with Onions has been bowling superbly for Durham. If they can both maintain their form, the sight of those two big monsters throwing it down, with Flintoff used sparingly and Anderson there to swing it, I reckon that is an excellent pace attack for the Ashes right there. Sidebottom has not let England down but I don't think you can underestimate a Harmy firing on all cylinders. Personally I think Rashid needs to be given an opportunity at some point during the Ashes. Swann has cemented himself as the numero uno spinner, but Panesar has bowled poorly and seems to be suffering from burn out and a lack of variation in his delivery. We need Mushtaq to work hard with him and recapture some of the form that got him where he is today. I also think Broad needs a rest, the pressure was clearly showing as hebowled at the death in the recent 20/20 games; he is undoubtedly a talent but I think I would drop him in favour of a fully fit Harmison and the impressive Onions. In terms of the batting lineup, I would be very disappointed if Vaughan is called up to the detriment of another younger, hungrier batsman. I would also like to see Collingwood dropped, I was distinctly unimpressed by his 20/20 campaign and do not think he is currently in the side on merit. My starting XI: Strauss Cook Bopara KP Bell Prior Flintoff Swann Harmison Anderson Onions

Man I love the Neville Brothers, awesome indeed. I am stoked for the forthcoming David Simon tv series about musicians in post-Katrina New Orleans ("Treme") it should be essential viewing. Today I am going all DC/angular and listening to some Jonathan Fire Eater (their first ep), Jesus Lizard "Down" and Fugazi's "In On The Kill Taker".
