On paper we are nowhere near the worst side in this league. In terms of bottle, fight and sheer football nous we are rock bottom.

Exactly,people are happy to trot out any excuse but this is an all too familiar ,reacuring trait with this team.

It appears that absolutely NOTHING has been learnt from last season. Punchless attack ,porous defence.

Preseason is for building up fitness,bedding in new personnel and sorting out a formation/system for the coming season,not dragging your team half way around the world on a pr exercise. What occurred half way through the second half with the change should have been all sorted out as a result of experimentation during preseason . The question now is do we have a manager who quickly learns or do we have a pig headed one who persists with failure like his predecessor ?

The starting formation for the next game will be an indicator for the season ahead.

Maybe it cuts down production costs a wee bit ,so they can squeeze a bit more out of all those who must have a replica shirt every year.

I think you summed it up well,the most galling thing is the club appear to be skinflints,but when they do splash the cash its on a nutter or a no hoper.

Further to my comments regarding yesterday's game,I would hate to be grouped in with the moaners and wrist slitters,so to put the record straight. I am absolutely delighted about yesterday's performance and result. It was great to see that last season's deficiencies have been addressed as in the defence is much tighter,the midfield is more combatant and the attack is creating and putting away most of their chances. Thank God we got rid of that awful manager,who was the cause of all our problems,and I look forward to success in the coming season.

Porous defence,punchless attack. How is it possible to spend millions and still be the same ?

Let's hope all the faults,slothness,crab football,back passing as a first option and dire players get sorted out as a result of these games,like last season.
