I am afraid that I am not at all surprised - Cortese is really childish.

When we walk back from the ground through the Northam area back to the Itchen board walk we always comment on the amount of litter everywhere - it certainly must be one of the dirtiest towns and needs a real spruce up.

Adam needs to score more goals - but he is miles better than Milner and should be in the England squad.

I hope he doesn't read the posts on here - the boos and jeers on Sunday were a disgrace. I felt sorry for Fox - he was getting skinned alive until MP at last did something about it and brought Ward-Prowse on.

A great result - we are still not playing very well but we are getting the points. I felt very sorry for danny Fox today - just not up to it (and didn't really look fit enough). Lallana was back to his old self and Boruc was MoM.

Home win.

Well done Saints - we are winning while not actually playing that well - a good sign.

That was a great way to finish the season but what a shame we didn't do a bit better earlier on. Looking at the table one more win and extra points, or two more wins would have secured promotion. I think we need a bit of a shake up for next season - we have some real talent but are lacking in some departments. Coles looks like he could be a good addition if we can get him.

He should be used against palace - and if so will score!

It's partly price and partly results - I spoke to two people who went to the West ham match and hadn't been for years beforehand - they were pretty negative about Saints' inability to score against WHU and said they wouldn't be back any time soon. I think we will see sell outs or near sell outs if we are doing well. A win against palace would be a good start.

We're doing OK against Essex - we have them at 105 for 4. You never know we might even bowl them out and force the follow on.

He needs to score more goals - 10 to 12 a year at a minimum I suggest.

Very pleased about Michael Carberry. I hope he gets a chance and does well.

Today was a great result but peacey, the poster, makes a fair point. We have now scored 5 goals in our last 10 PL games I believe. We have more or less stopped conceding, which is great, but we do need to start scoring more goals.

This was a really great result. A fantastic team performance with outstanding contributions from Lovren and Boruc. Schneiderlin back to his best and good to see Cork on. Well done Saints!

I just hope we do rather better than last week with the same team - we gave the ball away far too often in midfield and did not get enough telling crosses in. We need Cork back!

On a serious point, I am getting a bit concerned about our lack of goals under MP - just 4 in the last 9 PL games I read. Maybe today will be a turning point and we will score a hatful. It would be nice for Osvaldo to open his account.

Good luck to Billy Sharp - I don't understand the nastiness by some on here towards him. I wish him well.

No play today - shame. Grace Road is a dump, alas. We now have a wonderful ground by comparison. It certainly merits first division cricket!

It's been a fairly disappointing season but it's good to see Vince and Dawson finishing on a high. Can we bowl Leicestershire out twice - hopefully yes but the weather forecast for tomorrow is not good.

Poor game by JRod - poor touches and not enough use of his pace. At the moment he doesn't look like scoring to me.
