  1. That would be my list too, however I still feel the first two names are complete nonstarters and unreleastic, so its Coppell or Boothroyd for me.
  2. That goal he scored on his debut against Derby was absolute quality, when it hit the net I was filled with so much expectation for his Saints future. However, as someone else has already mentioned, it appears that that goal was actually the peak of his Saints career. If you took away who his Dad is and who his half brother is then he'd be playing way down the leagues. He really isn't good enough for the Championship and a season in League One may have been beneficial for him. Ah well, easy come easy go.
  3. What about Boothroyd?
  4. Exactly. Anyone on this site who claims that Wotte has had no influence on the 1st team throughout JP's tenure is deluded. Am I really supposed to believe that two Dutch coaches were brought in at the same time yet had no contact during the season and did not work alongside one another, its ridiculous. To claim Wotte deserves to start with a "clean state" is absurd, the man has been involved all season and is as culpable for our current position as anyone who was been involved in Rupert Lowe's failed Dutch experiment. Frankly I’ve been extremely disappointed with how Wotte and others have left JP to solely carry the can for our current league position. The whole setup has failed, to make out that the club is being run soundly but it was all down to JP’s poor management that has led to the poor form is laughable. YOU WERE ALL BROUGHT IN AT THE SAME TIME AND WORKED AS A TEAM! YOU’RE ALL AS USELESS AS EACH OTHER!!
  5. I'm amazed at the way Wotte has been behaving. The man has been involved with the club for five minutes and yet he feels he has the authority and right to lecture the fans and tells us how awful we all are. Well I'm sorry but it’s not on, we have watched the steady and debilitating decline of our club for the past 4 years, culminating in our current position of 23rd in the Championship. The football served up is poor and spineless, we NEVER win, the board are disconnected and antagonising the majority of fans, we're tired of the evitable "battlecrys" from player A or manager B after every awful performance and all this overseen by a deeply unpopular and divisive Chairman in RL. We have a right to protest, we have right to show our disgust at how far our club has fallen and what we don't want is to be patronised by some slick haired, second rate, disillusioned manager in Wotte who has been in charge for barely a month. And as for your "this is WAR" article, you can shove all that mock-vitriol up your arse Wotte and sod off back to wherever RL brought you from. You're a bloody amateur.
  6. I feel sorry for JP. God knows what other stringent rules he was forced to work under given the rumours he was told what players he could and couldn't play. He also probably had no control over who went out and who came in on loan, how was he possibly meant to mould a successful team when almost every week the makeup of the squad changed? He was given an impossible task and has not been sufficiently backed by the cowards who appointed him; he's been made a scapegoat for what is essentially a club rotten to the core. The fact that Lowe has sacked yet another manager is an admission that his Dutch experiment hasn’t worked. Are we meant to believe that whole ‘total football’ concept is sound, it was just that JP wasn’t good enough? Garbage, by sacking JP Lowe has in turn admitted he got it completely wrong as his reputation was directly on the line the day he brought these two Dutch chumps into the club. Relegation is an inevitability. Who know when its your year, you can sense it in the air, in the results, the form, the decisions being made and in the unrest at the club. League 1 and administration beckons, congratulations Mr Lowe, a truly remarkable achievement.
  7. Commentary is totally useless. Its obvious its not a live commentary too as the same guy does a lot of the Championship matches. I appreciate Virgin Media making the highlights accessible every week but the whole experience would be vastly improved if they did away with the pathetic commentary and just showed the highlights as they are.
  8. What a load of rubbish. I know activity on this forum has been dwindling recently but is it any surprise when tripe like this is posted? What exactly has people moving to the country to avoid being killed by falling Nazi bombs during WWII got to do with Jan Poortvliet, Lloyd James and Simon Gillett? It’s perfectly understandable that fans that have stopped going to games; the results have been shocking, it’s an expensive and luxurious day out for most, especially at a time when the average family are struggling to pay the bills and it’s obvious that people have just about had enough. Equally how can you possibly pass judgement on the decisions people took during WWII? You are in no position to be so patronising and arrogant. If it makes you feel better to compare your weekly trips to St Mary's as equivalent to standing proudly alongside the Queen Mother as the bombs in WWII fell then good for you, you obviously lost your grip on reality along time ago.
  9. What a load of old @rse

  11. He could defiantly plug a gap in our defence.
  12. Don't know why I bother getting a Saints calendar each year. By mid-summer your wall is guaranteed to be adorned by players who no longer play for the club. August’s players are Makin and Safri, brilliant.
  13. I can't stop watching this video.
  14. The most appropriate entrance music would be the Muppet Theme Tune.
  15. What I don't understand is why JP plays all the youngsters in the first half, such as McG and co., then brings on the old pros in the second half, such as Stern, Rasiak, BWP and Dyer. Surely a blend of these two teams would be stronger and surely it would have been worth trying out a few different teams during pre-season.
