How do you find a blind man in a nudist colony? You get a feel for it. source: a warped and twisted mind

"Good evening, my name is Kevin Turvey. Why?? ...err, I dont know... " Great comedian, my personal favourite being Alan Beresford B'Stard, who turned out to be a prescient template for future politicians, both blue and red. RIP. edit; Here's a lovely piece of improvisation, from our very own Mayflower theatre.

"Oh, go on love," I pleaded. "Just the once, and it's my birthday tomorrow..." She thought for a moment, then said smoothly, "Ok, as it's your ultimate fantasy, I'll put on a lesbian show with Debbie for you." I gulped. "...BUT," she continued with a victorious smile, "only on one condition; that you do the same thing for me with your best mate." I scrambled for the phone. "Hi Dave," I gasped, "Listen, do you mind if Lisa watches us next time?"

Cheers doddsy, the stokie/alex link would make sense. Thinking of stoke grounds, when I worked up that way I once did a job at port vales ground, for this: http://www.ukrockfestivals.com/heavy-metal-holocaust.html My ears were ringing after that.

I genuinely have no idea who he is or what he does.

I keep seeing Cabrera, and wondering why Osvaldo's playing.

That would be sweet.

Don't renew their UK Football contracts then

Whatever the rights and wrongs of the Falklands conflict, sporting events should not be used as a platform for political statements of this type. The only exceptions, to my mind, are the "hitler olympics", and the US Black Power salutes, both of which were making statements about genuine repression. And in this case, it did have a political impact in the UK; galtieris invasion added at least a term to thatchers tenure. -
Well, thats my excuse for an early night. Not staying up to watch any more of this.

Glenn Johnson. The new John Barnes. Why the hell is he playing?
-
I'd agree with that. He did well in his brief spurs tenure, but I'd think that was more likely to be because of his relationship with the players than because he's a particularly good manager.
-
ah yes, the good old gitanes. And disque bleu. Happy memories, I'm still hacking them up now
-
Agreed. He has the look of a middle-aged french merchant sailor who once got into a knife fight on Marseille dockside. While smoking a gauloise.

Espresso made with a proper stovetop machine using Lavazza Rossa. Only way to go.

You have just been appointed Southamptons new manager

Partridge will have a field day asking them about their groin problems. -
That last point is one I made earlier, and still can't get my head round.

Miltonroader managed itk - tw*t in 5 minutes and 6 posts, iirc. On some nonsense he posted about Kelvin.

Harsh, but amusing.

Yes, I understand that. But it seems to me that if he's said it verbally to them, its like saying "I want/intend to leave the club, but won't put that in writing because you wont pay me if I do." That has to be wrong on some level. Its also interesting that liverpool are pressurising for a decision before the world cup. One can only assume they are expecting him to have a good one, which will up his value.
-
It still is the case, but what I don't understand is, if he's on record as telling the club he wishes to leave, doesn't that constitute a transfer request? This baffles me. And I still reckon he'll join Lambert at the dippers, can't see why else they'd have bought him.
-
Good to see the board taking my comments seriously. Nobody else does.
-
Because Lambert has made his dream move to his boyhood club, aged 32 and nearing the end of his career, so nobody here thinks any the worse of him for wanting to? Mind you, that begs the question of why there were so many Judas chants when Hoddle decamped for spurs. (I'm praying Dalek doesn't read this, the thread could run for years.)

James Ward-Prowse: Goal of Tournament and 3rd best player!

Not completely, you haven't. #pedant -

In Lambert's case, that was probably true. If his boyhood and home club, Liverpool, came in for him then it would seem churlish at best and spiteful at worst to refuse him the chance. I don't begrudge him or the board for making that decision. That said, I still reckon this means Lallana is nailed on for a move there.
