  1. The rule that states if you owe money to staff/people you pay them. In business if you can't do that you go into admin and then liquidation. If they cannot pay the bills and are clearly not paying the bills then they have to go into admin. The PL has rules which say's "a club in admin will be docked -9 points". If Portsmouth were a normal business they would be in admin now. The reason they are not is because groups like PL are trying to make it sound not as bad as it is, they are trying to protect the "premiership brand" by not pushing them harder. As the guy in the Telegraph say's a business that can't pay it's bills is dead.
  2. http://www.timesonline.co.uk/tol/sport/football/premier_league/portsmouth/article6978206.ece Wages won't be paid now until end of the week ****ing disgrace of a club and PL bending rules to suit them. There is no point reporting on the wages anymore as it means nothing, PL won't enforce anything. Hopefully the PFA will come out saying how bad it is etc..
  3. If they do miss it then that would be the 5th time in the past few months right? Which actually makes you wonder if you went months and months without paying would the PL actually punish you? If we were in the PL and had our situation there we would of been alright!
  4. So i wonder what excuse they will use today for not paying the bills? "my computer froze over so could not send payment" "on my way to pay the money into the bank, i was attacked by what looked like three abonimal snowmen, they for some reason took a liking to my brief case full of cash and scarpered off with it up Portsmouth mountain" "i got to the bank with the cash but on the door was a note saying 'FULL, we have too much cash could not take anymore today'."
  5. On the bbc link http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/football/teams/p/portsmouth/8439545.stm They say "The club have now secured a short-term bank loan to pay the players - but they are still completing the necessary paperwork to release the funds" I thought the reason the money was not in there was because of a file not opening at the bank when you tried to pay the money in? Now it is because you are still filling in the paper work before your be given a loan to pay the wages? Seriously as said before the PL are a fecking disgrace to let them chop and change as they see fit. All of our clubs who have been given points deductions should launch a protest as it is a scandal.

    Snow

Pretty heavy here in Bishops Waltham. About 5 to 6 inches i would guess. Still going like a blizzard out there. Was walking back to the house when i saw a BMW being put on the back of a lorry. Asked what had happened and someone said the person had been trying to look really cool and do wheel spins etc.. Then lost it and hit a curb fecking up the front of it. Seeing the deep snow on top of the convertible roof made me laugh a little. So there is a lesson in there, snow = not good for sports cars!
  7. Anyone else find it slightly ironic that these people want to protest about what is happening in a country where if they protested in that country they would get severely punished? I think these people need to get real. The head guy lives in a country where he is given a 3 bedroom house and benefits by the tax paying people of this country. His kids are given a good education and are given a good atmosphere for which to grow up in. They won't have to worry about a political bomber trying to blow up their school in the supposed name of god. If these people loved their country so much why have they abandoned it? If they disagree with what is happening why did they move to UK? They compare us to Nazi's but that is like saying in ww2 we hate the Nazi's but we thought it was best to move to Berlin. These people coming to our country abuse the system so badly that it does make you ask the question "well why are you here then?". If you hate it so much why did you not stay where you were? We have become too politically correct, too scared to stand up for our own beliefs when faced with anothers in fear we will get called a racist or something. If these people go through with it they will get a kicking because it will stir up hate. And the sad part is this will play into groups such as BNP hands.
  8. This was an interesting piece on sunday supplement from the guy at the mail http://www.skysports.com/story/0,19528,15121_5825617,00.html Interesting views. Especially about the fact Storrie said that they will be getting a short term loan to pay the wages in the next few day's. If they are needing loans each month just to pay the wages then they are fooked.

  10. I don't subscribe to the "Pompey would still beat us" argument. We played one of the better teams in the prem league this year already and narrowly lost. If we play like that then we will beat Pompey for sure. After watching them vs Arsenal that was one of the worst performances i seen this season. I don't fear them at all. As for Coventry your having a laugh arn't you? They have lost pretty much 50% of their games! Right now we are one of the form teams in the country. If we come up against any of the prem teams above 17th place we will most likely lose. But Pompey are ****. If they had that team in the CCC they would struggle. Today's result shows that. A team who is 17th in the CCC drew away with them. If that makes you fear them i find that slightly funny. I want Pompey at home as i know right now we have a good chance to beat them. They have the worst team they have had since they went up. They have a manager who seems to have zero ability to give inspiration to his players. And they will most likely have lost more players by the time the game is played. That have some truely awful players at their club, hence why they are last. We will not win the cup, we will get one of the big teams in the next few rounds and get thrashed. I would much rather have an occasion against a team i'm sure we could beat rather then playing a team i know would thrash us. You have got to laugh at the argument "i don't want to play Pompey as they will beat us, i want Spurs".......
  11. If he was the complete footballer i doubt he would be playing in league one...
  12. Not a very good performance really. Think we have not been playing as good of late. But we are still picking up results and that is a good thing. Credit to Luton i thought they were very bright and positive, especially in the 2nd half. If i was not biased i would say they were unlucky not to get a draw. They had a good go and if it was Saints team from 4 months ago they would of thrashed us. But a win is a win. I think we really do need a couple of proven players to come into the club iin the window. A very good CB and a winger to replace Antonio. Who i felt was shocking today. I would love to get the Skates at St Mary's in the next round. That would fire the players up and i think would be the icing on the cake if we beat them!
  13. Have to agree with Alpine. Ollie is not good enough. The lad is young and is still learning his trade. He has played something like 15 games and been sent off 3 times. Should we be taking chances on players who have consistently under performed? We are no longer a club that has to play players for the sake of it. The team out there playing should be the best it can possibly be, with Ollie playing it won't be. That is harsh but it is the reality of the situation we are now in. We have the money to buy players. People like Ollie should not be anywhere near our 1st team, that is why we got to where we are by playing crap players hoping they would get better.
  14. Watched most of his games and felt he did very well for us. Is a shame to lose him. If we have Ollie coming back to take his place then we can kiss our playoff push goodbye in my opinion. Perry and Jaidi will not be able to play every game left as some are 3 games a week. They will get knackered and probably injured by doing that. No offence to Ollie but he is not a player who will improve us. We did the kids thing last year and it failed miserably. We are no longer in a position where we have to make do with what we got. Hopefully Pardew has someone lined up. For some reason i would not be surprised to see Sol Campbell join us. Someone i was speaking to last night said they heard a rumour. But he was ****ed out his nut so chances are it was bull****.
  15. Bit ****ed so not sure if i'm reading it all right! But i think they have to pay £6M to the tax man, £9m to Gaymark and supposedly money to other clubs for players. And are meant to pay £3.5m for Dindane this month. Basically meaning they owe a **** load of money that has to be paid in the next month. You have to be honest and say that really they are looking at needing at least £10m just to keep the club going that month. Where will that money come from? Their new owner obviously won't pay that. I doubt banks will loan it due to the obvious complexity of their finances. Think it is time the PL pulled the plug.
  16. file probably didn't open because it had a dirty skate virus on it!
  17. I deal with huge companies all the time. Never have i heard a deal being postponed due to a file on a computer not being able to be opened....That is the most stupid thing i ever heard. Do they take their files into the bank each month and do it 1 by 1? Or do they do what everyone else does and have it set up to automatically go into your account every month? And even if it was true that a file could not be opened then they would have a back up file. Could they not have had that emailed to the bank? If it was the banks fault as they try and imply then why did the bank simply not use a different computer? Or try a different branch? I doubt very much that a transaction that is obviously millions of pounds would of failed because of a file. I can imagine the convo with the bank clerk "computer says no, your have to come back tues". "But i need to pay these millions into the staff's accounts or were get in trouble" "have to come back tues, sorry". Total joke of a club and they now need to be made an example of. We got done because we could not pay our bills. If we didn't get done we would probably be going up this year. I can totally understand now why all those clubs who got points deducted were ****ed off when it looked like we might dodge it.
  18. They "expect" to pay the wages on tues.... That is another example of them bending the rules. If they were supposed to be paid today and won't be now until tuesday then that means they have not been paid. Disgraceful handling by the PL.
  19. Yeah they have to be paid by 4pm or the banks can't do it until tuesday or something. What ****es me off is that if it was a non prem club doing that they would of had the book thrown at them. I know it is Portsmouth and were rivals etc.. but regardless of that the Premier League have been disgraceful with their handling of it. It sends out a clear message that you can do pretty much whatever you want and your not get done for it. If they fail to pay the staff that is three times in what the last 3-4 months? They have had three different owners this season, they have sold something like £80m worth of players, had different managers and a transfer embargo and so on and so on. I thought the whole point of these rules were to stop stuff like that from happening? They need to bring things to a head or it will never get sorted.
  20. SSN say they not been paid and have until 4pm today to pay them
  21. So have the players been paid today? Isn't there a rule that say's something like if you miss 3 payments you get a points deduction or did i dream that?
  22. It's okay, no need to worry! Portsmouth have said they were not given a wind up notice or anything http://www.skysports.com/story/0,19528,11095_5812964,00.html So i guess HRMC must have been lying about serving them one then. That was lucky for Pompey wasen't it!
  23. On the comments bit someone said "Only we could find 2 skint arabs" :smt081
  24. Also how is this not Saints related news? We are their fierce rivals, have a history as long as history itself. If that does not deserve a place on the main board then nothing does. You will have to no doubt delete and move a lot of threads on the main as this grows, seems petty to put it in here.
  25. To be honest with you it makes you wonder why this did not happen sooner. Nobody has a clue where the money is coming from or when the bills will be paid. They get a new owner every couple of weeks with this weeks being the chuckle brothers etc.. It looks like the league have made special rules to help them to stop a club from the prem league going under which in turn makes the league look bad. They got a players ban or something too. Regardless of being a rival to us they have dodged penalties that would of probably been dealt to teams in a lower league. They got what they deserved. They are a small club with attendences of around 15k-20k and they spent money they did not have trying to have some glory day's. I have no sympathy for them. Borrowing £50m to buy a cup and then not pay it back is their own fault. The fans said nothing when the good times rolled, they laughed at us when we were in the ****. So **** them.
