Love the old games like Mercs, Streets of Rage, Rolling Thunder, Flashback, Toe Jam and Earl, Golden Axe etc.. I was playing the new Super Mario game on the wii the other day and it reminded me how damn hard games used to be compared to now.

Gratz to pardew the players and of course our new owner. For me that marks the end of the last effects from the lowe feck up that was last season. Onwards and upwards coyrs!

One of if not thee most entertaining game i have seen this year. A good advert for English league football. It is dissapointing not to win but we played very well but so did Norwich. They are a good team with some good players and will probably get promoted this year. This year was always a season too soon for us so hopefully now people can see we are a good team but are not yet the finished article. Will be at the game tonight, looking forward to it.

A good manager does the best with what he has got. The whole "the Scotland players are crap" thing is not right. 2 previous managers had the same players and did far better in far harder groups/matches. To win only 3 games from 14 against lets be honest here pretty crap teams is always going to have one outcome. Dropping the most prolific striker in Scotland who has a near 1 goal in 2 games ratio for country and club, who plays in the champions league for a player playing at that time in the championship who has never played in europe let alone on the national stage, was always going to have one outcome. It was a bold statement of intent that if you dont get on with Burley your not going to play. And for me that is what Burley is about. A manager who will use every excuse to cover his **** man managing skills, a manager who will use every excuse to cover why his teams never performed, a manager who will always say he never had the resources to do a job when people prior to him had the same resources and did better etc etc. However you look at it Burley is a crap manager. And i have no doubt his next job will see him do the same.

Not really much to say, just one of those games. Can't win them all can you. Credit to Brighton they played well and took their chances when they came, we didn't, and that was the difference. Always next week. Listening to some people moan you would think we had lost the last 10 or something!

should be a great fight Pacman should win, but Cotto is hard as nails, so his best chance is a mega hook or something! Can't wait!

We had no Lambert,Harding,Mellis,Antonio,Waigo,Connolly,Hammond,Jaidi,Trotman etc..until the season had pretty much started. If i look at the first team from the first couple of games a few things stand out. Light weight and no pace. That team was always going to struggle. Hence why most of them no longer start or are used at all. Let's face it, the team now is probably the best Saints team since we were in the PL. We have strength, pace but more importantly many people who can contribute goals. If this team started the season things would be very different. Well the start of it would because they have already shown how good they are by winning 6 of their last 7 games.

Does anyone play with all the leagues selected? How long does that take to load after end of each turn?

Hey im not talking down to you mate, just saying your criticisms are not the games fault but your own. As i said you can do anything you want in the game, set up any type of race, set any type of preferences, set whatever assists you want and so on and so on. If you choose to use those things then they are there to be used. Your having a go at it saying the matchmaking system is limited and i agree with you. But there are other ways of doing it, Forza 3 allows you to do it any way you want. So as i mentioned it is not the game makers fault that you can't be arsed to join a lobby or set up your own race is it. You have the tools at your fingertips but are deciding not to use them. No doubt they will do an overhaul to the match making system as other games have done in the past because im sure there are many people like you playing it. As for the steering wheel ****pit view pan around, i have no idea as i not tried it, maybe one of those who have it can give advice. As i said before your entitled to your opinion, im not shooting you down saying your wrong about xyz, the game is not perfect, no game is, but of all the things i have found annoying/irritating about the game the multi-player aspect is not one. The load times on the other hand....

Was not at the game today sadly but from a brief call with my friend who was there he said we dominated from start to finish. We had many chances with Lallana missing some sitters in both the first half and the start of the second. While it was 4-5-1 we bossed the game, they had 1 chance of which they scored from. Rest of that half was 1 way traffic. 2nd half we continued to create chances. They got fortunate with an own goal, which was their 1st shot of the half. Now this is the bit which seems a bit confusing. My friend said we did not play 4-4-2 we played 4-3-3 as Lallana was pretty much a 3rd striker alongside Lambert and Connolly. If that is true then the whole 4-4-2 argument is stupid. At the end of the day Pardew kept the side that had won those games going, you never change a winning side and it is nice to see someone finally understands that here. We dominated the game and if it was not for luck they would not have scored their 2nd. So credit to Pardew, his tactics and changes worked, because at 2-0 down im sure all of us would of taken 2-2. It is a pity they did not play for 5mins more as he said we would of won.

Reviews i don't But to be fair to them they have actually done some decent ones recently. The Uncharted 2 and FM10 ones were good.

Have to say i really like the game. My previous thoughts were wrong. Rather then the game continuing on its downward stale spiral it has breathed some new life into the series. Maybe that also has something to do with the fact it is good to manage Saints now in the game With the weather turning **** can see many a drunken evening spent playing the game, shouting at Wotten for not accepting Wrexhams contract offer etc etc

Must of been playing a different game to me because you can look anywhere you want in the ****pit by using if i remember right LB and the left analogue stick pushed in, then move the analogue stick to look wherever you want to see. As for the online remarks again i think we must be playing different games as the multiplayer is fully editable. To quote that guy "Forza 3 has an awesome array of multiplayer options, more than I've ever seen in a racing game before. Probably more than I've seen in any console game before in any genre." If you dislike the game then that is your opinion, but at least go back and play it for sometime and then come back and say what you think because it sounds like you just made it up really. Because if you had you would of known you can create and join any lobby group for races which enable you to decide what options/assists/preferences are in each group. I.e you say you get thrown in with complete noobs who can't drive, that is because you have not selected to race against people who dont use assists etc.. that is not the games fault, that is your fault....I race with next to no assists, have not had one problem at all finding races with the same minded people. Edit: Unless you have no friends to play the game with then you have to use the matchmaking system, easier to just play with pre-arranged people.

If we do win then we would equal the clubs consecutive away wins record set in 1991/2 And i think 6 wins in a row in all comps would also be a club record but am not 100% sure.

I imagine the PL did it because they owe a lot of people money and after having 3 owners in over a month they have yet to pay those people. What i want to know is if they continue to not pay people then why are they not in admin? If they are defaulting on their loans/commitments then they must be near to going bankrupt. The whole thing stinks.

The way i see it is as i said at the start of the season. My minimum expectations for Pardew and his players is to stop Southampton from falling into League Two this season. Before the first kick off this season we had a pretty dire squad, and it did not get better until a couple of games in. So the team before the arrival of Lambert etc i expected to battle relegation this year. However the team that we have now that was brought in after the season started in Harding,Lambert,Trotman,Waigo,Antonio,Hammond,Mellis,Jaidi,Connolly is a far far better team. With that team you would expect this club to be among the top teams in this league. And they clearly now are. Nobody even knows the last time we won 5 games in a row, that is indication of how crap we used to be. So my expectations of the old team were to battle relegation, the team we put out last season and into the start of this season will be the worst team we ever had in my book. Where as the new team i expect now to push on and comfortably finish in the top 10. I still do not expect promotion this year. We have the team to get there and if we continue in our current form we should at least get into 6th spot. But if we don't i wont act like it is the end of the world. Because next year im sure we will get promoted a lot easier then we will this year. So i think people who expected the team to be promoted based on the team prior to the Lambert arrivals is slightly mad. Where as those expecting it on the team after the lambert arrivals are obviously sane.

Ah right Norwich are a good team. They will be there or there abouts at the end of the season. If we continue our form over the last 6 or so we will be there too.

Plus also Norwich have lost more games then us and if we did not have the -10 would be a massive gigantic out of control 1 point ahead of us...... So whoever mentioned the Norwich comparison i guess had a bit too much to drink last night!
