Not sure how you can complain about a system that has meant we have beaten 5 teams in a row? Sure if it was not working then you could say lets try something different. I think if something works then keep to it. If it doesn't then change things about. The two systems as Pardew mentions are pretty much the same in what they are asking people to do. But what is important is not actually the formation itself but the fact people playing in that system have gained confidence. They are comfortable on the ball. Plus it means they can hurry the opposition into making mistakes and losing possesion which we have seen in the games this year. In my view the formation has helped us more then hinderd us.

Not the best i have seen us play but we deffinatly deserved to win the game. The crowd and atmosphere today was awesome. Hopefully now those doubters after the first few games who were bashing Pardew and the team can finally let go of their agendas. They were wrong like 99% of the people on this website were telling them. The days of knee jerk reactions after a couple of games are over. Get behind the team, get behind the manager and get your ass down to the stadium and stand proud with the crowd of the red and white army.

Anyone know last time we won 5 games in a row in all comps?

Got my copy today, game kicks ass. Best racing game ever created.

Himself when he signed the contract to be our manager

He said he wanted to leave to play international football, that is fair enough. But from a managers point of view Pardew would do better in the long run to get a team playing without him. There is no point making him a first team player only for him to leave at any point. I like Saga but he has not shown the desire and determination as the other players this year. When you look at our team and the performances of that team most people would be surprised to see he is a international player based on his performances. So better to prepare for life without him because he will be gone in January most probably.

Ah i seeee Maybe i meant have a chat with them, then kick their heads in Get them into a false sense of security! Of course i don't really mean that.

I still can't figure out which bit is wrong and i wrote it! Grammar is most defiantly not my best attribute. Especially while writing it on a phone! But it could be worse. But not by much So what was wrong? Because if i don't know it will bug me to the point of total buggedness!

An old saying that goes if you can't do the time then don't do the crime. Some might be the type who like to turn a blind eye and some might be the type who wants that type of thing to stop. Me personally i would much rather talk to our opponents fans and have a friendly banter with them then kick their heads in. At the away games recently talking to their fans has been excellent and have seen next to no trouble at all. Would hate to think that would change because of a small bunch of idiots around here. As for that whole grass up thing....are we now living in the ghetto or something? If someone beat the crap out of your kid while he was on the ground, maybe killing him, im sure you would wish that person to be caught. At the end of the day if they don't want to get into trouble then don't do stupid stuff like that no matter how gobby the people are. We live in the 21st century where there are cameras on every corner. If you are someone who is known for that kind of thing then it is just a matter of time before they get you.

Keep playing the way they are playing and i couldn't give a monkies who they put in there. I am not a Wotten fan but he has done well in the past few games. No need to change anything. James has been good thus far in my book. He has been when Morgan has not been performing the creative spark with his crossing and passing. It is a pity he cannot shoot, but then again neither can Morgan. Murty did very well for us, he is a quality player in the games he has played. Seeing him race up and down that flank those first few games was a joy to behold. But we have a team now that has depth, for the first time in years. When one player fooks up another is there to take his place. If James starts to fade then Murty should play. But he hasen't yet, he has been very good.

Looks like DMG isn't doing too well. But to be fair to him Forest seem to have like 5 young strikers. Would not be surprised to see him sold on in January/summer. Wonder if we have a sell on clause! Pity Drew has not been playing. Can't help but think he is a fine example of what Pardew was talking about at the fans forum. That some players move to early and it hinders their career. Because if they stayed a season or so more they would of been playing games. Surely you learn more and progress further by playing games opposed to sitting on the bench or in his case playing in the reserves. It is a shame because he could have done ok with us this year.

I'd say the momment Lowe took us into admin. That whole period was the lowest point. Sure we came out of it in a better position, one which we all would of traded for. But it shouldn't have had to get that far for things to change in the way they had. The turning point for me at least was when Jaidi scored the late equaliser and the players were running around jumping etc. You could see something that we had lacked at this club for a longtime. People who actually give a **** about our club.

Nah it's cool on its own too. It has a single player game to it too. Just the point of the single player is to do campaigns from just the humans perspectives. It is really good. If you like that then you might try the online co-op and find you like it too. Don't need to have friends as it will just bung you with 3 random other people.

Nah it is a unique game that is a bit hard to explain. Basically you have 4 players (of which either can be human or computer controlled). The aim is for them to get from one place to another place i.e a safe house. The world has gone tits up and is filled with zombies and wierd monsters. So you play in a first person view as if you would say Counter-Strike or any fps game. You don't get unlimited ammo so you can't just go around gun blazing. Your team mates can get grabbed by these zombies and monsters. If they get grabbed you can help them by say killing the monster, or by pulling them up ledges etc.. The great thing about the game is, you can play as the monsters. So you have 4 humans as the survivors and 4 humans playing as the various monsters. Which all have varying abilities. Like for example a hunter can jump really high and fly at you pinning you down while he rips you apart with his claws. If the monsters stop the survivors from reaching a certain point i.e say an airport then they win. If the survivors get to that point then they win. You take it in turns to be each side. So it is like Resident Evil in that you have to stay alive. Best way to describe it really is imagine the scary level in Half Life 2. It is a bit like that but with zombies.

Yeah next month i think. It is class isn't it. When your one of the bad guys, it can be so funny to pick one of the straglers off. It is one of those games that gets the sounds just right so can make you crap yourself at any momment. Love zombie games. Can't wait for number 2 and Dead Rising 2.

Oh do give over Alpine for christ sake.... I was not aiming it at you or anyone just in general. Some people choose the opposite side of an argument simply to be controversial. They enjoy the reaction it causes rather then the content. That is called trolling. If someone says Lawrie is our best manager, someone will say he is not, if someone says Lowe was crap, someone will say he was great etc etc. Some will attack people who are popular amongst the cities community while defending those who are not popular. Some of these people have legit arguments to put forward to why they think that. Some don't. As i said, we have too many people who try to be controversial thus creating the content we see on here.
-
The problem is you got a bunch of people who lets face it enjoy winding people up. They will choose the un-popular side to an argument simply to create tension which will eventually lead to the stuff we see. What ****es me off is they use that whole "im allowed my opinion" thing far too much when really they know they are just saying it to cause problems. Most threads end up going the same way with the thread being about a poster defending his controversial view. I just don't get how some people cannot be happy. After the crap we have seen in the past few years, from the top all the way to the bottom how anyone cannot be delighted to see the passion, the pride, the quality that the club is now showing is just wrong.
-
I think we have one of the top 3 for sure. Adding Connolly could turn out to be the greatest signing for us yet. If we keep him fit he will bag lots of goals for us. Our attacking set-up means if teams come out and try and be open we could murder them. It is so good to feel that way about our club again.
-
Basically we are neck and neck with them so really will be a good indicator for us of how the season could go from here. Think they have the 2nd best away record or something. It has the potential to be a classic. The next 4 games could be massive for us, 3 of those games are at home.
-
Could be!

This thread is a wind up right?

Went to the game and was fantastic. Not much else to add that has not been added already. That is 4 wins on the trot in all comps. 10 goals in our last 3 games. Only 3 conceeded. On the basis of the last 6 games we rank 2nd. On the basis of the last 8 games we rank 4th. Our last 10 games read 5 wins, 4 draws and 1 loss. Scored 19 etc etc etc. You could go on stating positive stats that show what most people knew all along. So am i the only one who finds it funny to read those people who say "if we win the next one we would of turned the corner! if we win the next one i might have some faith" etc etc. Come on now. How can you say that still? We have lost just 3 games all year. We have just played 2 good teams away and pummeled them both. They could of been heavy defeats for those teams if we did not miss some sitters. And that is the point, we are creating so many chances it is unreal, not half chances but real proper chances. Lallana and Morgan missed complete sitters yesterday, we hit the crossbar/post i think 2-3 times. How can you base your negative attitude on what happened in the first 5 games or so but ignore the great results in the following 7-8 games? As far as im concerned if you still think things are not good enough after the last 10 games then your a mong.

So then what was the £30m debt he supposedly paid off then? I know our radio station cost a fair bit but surely not £30m!! As far as i could tell and of course i could be wrong. ML bought the club then cleared the debts. At least that is the impression i got from listening to Nicola Cortese on the fans forum. From the way i understand it our payments that were crippling us were payments on the loan for the stadium. As i said i could be wrong, but that is what i thought i heard/read. So would be good if you could explain how it actually went down.
