Potential to be a good player but sadly is a player ruled by attitude. Every one decent game will be followed by 3 bad. For a central midfielder you can't really expect to do well with a player like that. You need someone who will be consistent and having 1 off day for every 3 good game not the other way round. We need a strong central midfielder who will chip in with goals. Having now played 31 games he has yet to score. So i don't think it will be a loss for us. If he was at his peak setting up goals and scoring them which i have no doubt he wil eventually do then it would be a loss. But he is not that player yet, nowhere near it. We need players who can perform now. We should no longer been in a position where we have to play youngsters but players who are good enough to be there. So goodluck Morgan hope it works out for you.

Just another fine example of what people were saying about being in admin already with Lowe at the helm. After it is all said and done the club was just a shell. There was no way we would recover from that without the club going the way it eventually has. But it shows how far we still have to go in terms of building the club up again behind the scenes as well as on the pitch.

I think they said on friday
-
If you look he is holding a creamy coloured suit so maybe he got changed at half time Fingers crossed we sign this guy as we need another CB of the built like a brick **** house variety
-
He was as i said being shown around. I doubt he would be sitting in the directors box with his family if he was there to see his old team. Someone else mentioned he was training with the team so maybe he was just having his first look at the team playing a competative game? He would be a great signing for us though.

Been getting excellent reviews, Gamespot just gave it a 9 http://uk.gamespot.com/ps3/action/batmanarkhamasylum/review.html?tag=topslot;thumb;1 Lets hope mine gets here early

Well my memory is pretty fuzzy about the clothes, might have been a white shirt, orange shirt etc.. but im now 99.9% was him. Mainly because it was like 3 rows from me. He was shaking a lot of peoples hands in that first row up there then eventually sat down. As i said hopefully someone who was around where i was took a pic.
-
Yep was that guy. Was being shown around as i said by the guy in the Green Blazer. I have no idea who that guy was but he signed some autographs just before the game at the players tunnel. Hopefully someone else took a picture

Just back also and am very proud of the team. The best display of football from us i have seen in a very longtime. We deserved to win the game, anyone would of thought we were the Prem team. Mellis i thought in the first half was superb, was trying to get forward and did some silky slim dribbling skills. He even got in and did some tackling. 2nd half he looked shattered but he can hold his head up. Lallana i also felt did very well not only with the goal but with some runs. Hopefully he can take some confidence from that and go on to be more consistent. The ref was a total mong and showed bigtime biasedness towards Birmingham. We should of had a penalty and they should of had a guy sent off. All the 50-50's went their way and i would say even the 40-60's went their way. Was rubbish. I felt the team was doing very well but soon as Murty was injured it sort of created problems for us. To be fair to James he was doing okay in midfield and had run a fair bit so dropping back into defence around the 75 mark was always going to be tough. We never really coped with it after that and became our own worst enemy. Their goals should of been prevented but overall cannot fault any of the players, they all tried their best. Wotten did okay but once again see him as a weak point in the team. Perry also did well but sometimes he struggled to keep up with the play. Overall very happy and am sure if our team can play like that week after week we will deffinatly be fighting for promotion. A few signings and we can do ok. Motm is hard to pick as i felt Harding,Murty,Lallana and Thomas did excellent. But im giving it to Mellis simply because he ran his ass off and looked the bright spark for the first half and a bit of the second. His attitude was spot on and is a fine example of the players we needed. Harding,Mellis,Murty all showed that today. Hope Murty is not out for long!

Okay having now actually looked at the dude's photo i am 99% sure it was him
-
Was at the game and noticed up in the royal box was a guy being shown around by one of those guys with the green blazer on. Could not get a picture of him but was a big dude who sort of looked abit like ade adebayor and had a creamy kinda couloured suit on. He was there for the first half then vanished. Was this Jhadi or however it is spelt or just some guy totally un-related to us?
-
Can't stand this guy, hope he get's sent off or something
-
I would go for Davis Murty, Thomas,Harding,James Thomson, Gillett, Morgan,Mellis Lambert Patterson Of course that would make a very lightweight side but a potential attacking one. Lallana and Perry have been amongst our worst players this year thus far, i would probably have Lallana and Wotten as joint worst. Either way this is going to be a hard game. Birmingham don't score many goals but what they do is keep the other teams out. Scoring against them will be difficult, Man Utd could only score once at Old Trafford recently against them. I got a feeling this one could go down to a penalty to decide, either during game time or at the end with penalty shootout. So could be a long night! Be interesting to see if Vignal plays and what kind of reception he might get.

I will be there such is the severityof being addicted to watching us play football.....Just one more ******* hit

Okay that is it, time to bring out the FM videos showing FM is just as bad (that is just as bad as that one) or how about these gems? http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fP3vgMJp_Es Or this classic http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IDVDY_ImIhM etc etc All games have bugs, those bugs did not ruin your enjoyment of the FM game last year so why should those effect his?

All the signings have been good i have thought but the problem is the players we already had. The rot has set in deep and will take time to get them playing with confidence. We have basically had a 2 year nightmare where everything that could hinder us has happened. We have gone into this season not having a pre-season. As pardew said on the radio on the way back we are having to have that now. The players are having to learn quickly. I am confident we will go on to survive this season and get promoted next year. We have a lot of things in the club itself needing to be sorted. Such as the coaching side, we need more staff in, scouting etc etc we need to become more proffesional and re-build a club from top to bottom. We were just a shell of a club under the last days of the Lowe empire. Add to that we have a lot of players at this club who are not good enough to be here or don't want to be here. Those players need to be removed, that takes time. As someone else mentioned people need to stop thinking like we deserve to be winning every week because we are Southampton. We were poor last year and that does not change over night. I'm sure by xmas we will be doing much better.

Much better performance then our last. We created a few chances of which we should of taken. Hit the post and our Chelsea lad missed a complete and utter sitter of a header from like 2cm out. Overall the team was quite compact but the same problems persist that have been here for the last 2 seasons. Lack creativity going forward and lack knowledge of dealing with set pieces. We give so many freekicks away it is criminal... The new boys did well i felt with Trotman maybe picking up motm for me. Hammond also did well. However as with the previous games we lack the ability to go forward. Lallana can't pass for **** so naturally wasted basically every corner we got. As i said last few games it is just not going for him. Thomson is young and not ready for first team football. Mellis i think is the same but had flashes of ability. Morgan again was not really in the game that much for me and it is a problem, that said he had a couple of shots at least with one near the end that was saved. Reading peoples views i do wonder if i was at the same game. The team did not play that bad, better then we have, we showed a lot of improvement. Brentford are a decent team. A draw was a fair result based on the fact we had a better 1st half and they had the 2nd. However i think we should of got a penalty at the end as looked hand ball to me! If we can add a midfielder who unlike Adam can pass but more importantly run at the defence and cross we will be alright. We got a week or so until the transfer window shuts and i hope we can ditch some of our players i.e Wotten,Pullis etc and get some others in. It is a long long season and having seen every game i can see that with a couple of more signings we will do fine. The best players have been the ones brought in since AP came in, i have faith he will get the one or two that will make everything click into place. So not the best performance but a much better performance then midweek.
-
Will be a hard game for us. But i got a feeling it could be one of those games were we get like 3 chances and take them all and they get loads of chances and miss them all. So i'm saying 3-0 to us
-
Does not work like that. You don't get a copy to review months before it's release..... You get sit down sessions with the publishers (in this case Sega) to help promote it's release. A lot of these sit downs have started as one person i know for 100% fact has been to one. If you re-read the other thread your see i mention that already. I mention the vibe which he re-layed info to me was not so great. Beta testers such as yourself are supposed to be bound to non disclosure agreements and that is why stuff is not on the tinternet in regards to their views, yet. You will see the "hand's on" impressions from the various websites within a week or two. Obviously that would mean a demo would be also coming in 2 weeks or so. And then we will see if what i have said is right in that generally people think it is not that great or if your right and that it is better then 2009 wont we

As i said somewhere else in this thread CM10 will be crap, it is never going to beat FM. But the fact is the reason people are looking at other games such as CM is because of how crap the FM series now is. You say FM10 will make the gap larger but from all previews nobody seems to agree, they think the series has gone backwards further. Comparing CM10 to FM10 is like a Saints fan going onto the Pompey forums and saying how great we are and how **** they are. While obviously they are in the Prem league they will always be better. But we have had our slump and are re-building while they are set to go into a slump. Meaning we will progress forwards and they will backwards. If that continues at somepoint we will over take them. The metaphor is the same with the FM and CM series. While CM improves FM doesn't. If that trend continues then it is just a matter of time before CM passes over FM. It is like as stated the Fifa/Pro Evo trend part 2. From all accounts of non biased people we should expect CM getting between 60 and 70 score wise and FM to get between 70 and 80. Hardly a victory to re-joice about considering one cost basically £27 more

Looks okay in this one Think it is safe to assume the FM fanboys feel threatened so have created those videos (even downgrading the quality to 600 rez in your video) to try and make it look as bad as possible.

Reading the forums, especially this post http://forums.championshipmanager.co.uk/forums/showthread.php?t=60315 Says the editor is fixed. Only just read th forum and did not realise the version available is the Beta version being used to help iron out bugs..... I realise your loyalty to the FM series Matt but will you be the first person to then hold your hand up and say the same things about FM10 when that comes out? If i put my goalkeeper in midfield and let in a lot of goals will you say that is a game breaking bug too? Somehow even if Fm does not install, runs at a crap rate (i have a very powerful pc), locks up, has the same bugs it always has etc etc i doubt you will bash it
-
hmm but if i wanted to i could make FM do the exact same thing. I will try and find the thread but i think its bogus. Some guy probably added 2 players and just made it like that. Having had loads of corners not once seen it as i said.
-
Wasen't that youtube video shown to be just some guy messing about having all the players mark the corner taker or something? Having put a few hours in now i have not seen that once. It reminds me a lot for some reason of Sensible World of Soccer.
-
Well it was called it in Tiger Woods and Fight Night so naturally would imagine that is what it is called in Fifa but even if it is not then it is still the same thing
