  1. Pardew said about 4-6 weeks out after the Birmingham game if i remember right.
  2. Sorry TDD but you can't have your cake and eat it. You implied people should not assume Waigo and Jaidi are decent players. That is fair enough. But you can't assume they won't be either as that is hypocritical. The fact as i said that you said "they" means you don't subscribe to that group. If you can't handle your posts being picked apart then why try and do that to others? Can't have it both ways.
  3. You said "they assume Waigo will be brilliant and Jaidi will be a rock". The fact you said the word "they" implies people/group who think different to you. Now i might be reading that wrong but i take it to mean your talking about the people who are happy about those signings and think they will do good things. As i said before the other signings have done ok and if we can tempt a guy from playing Champs league football to playing l1 football then surely that has to be a positive thing?
  4. And this is the problem TDD. We sign somebody i.e say Waigo. A guy only a few months ago who scored twice against Juventus, who has played in the champs league, play's for his national team etc.. and he has dropped down two divisions to play for us in L1. I simply cannot understand how you can take that and turn it into a negative. Does it not excite you too see these new faces come in who on a whole have been miles better then the people they have replaced. Murty,Harding,Hammond,Trotman,Lambert have all thus far done well. The only player im not sure about is Mellis but you can see he has talent. Because i have seen that evidence i look at things such as the Waigo deal as potentially a good thing. A decent player who scored for the reserves who obviously will walk into most league one or higher teams. Of course he could turn out to be Ali Dia part 2, he could be a fake and play as well as Jermaine Wright with only one leg. But again let's be honest, you do not score against teams like Juve if you are not good. So your right it is wrong for us to assume he could be this all great player, but it is also wrong to assume he is crap on the basis he has yet to play on the fact he has already played at a higher level. Surely it would be best to see him play before assuming for the worst?
  5. While both Alps and TDD are entitled to their opinions i would like to ask this to them You are both writing passionatly about your view in that you believe it is not good enough. Or as TDD said "Pardew has lost his touch and Lambert is ****" etc.. You are both defending your view point like 2 people's last stand, defending from all sides etc.. What i want to know is what if your wrong. If we beat Yeovil (remember all that matters is the result from what you have said) 1-0 after playing poor but stealing a win from a dodgy penalty will that then make you happy and these opinions you are writing will stop? You will join the other 99% of supporters who are commited 100% to the cause of re-building the club and don't expect promotion this year? If we then continue our unbeaten run by 4 more games with hopefully winning those 4 games to break our unbeaten record will you then conceed you were wrong and that maybe you were a bit too hastey withy your criticism? Because if we don't win at the weekend and dont win at least 2 of the 3 following games i will most deffinatly admit there is cause for concern. As im sure others will.
  6. The difference being even though i knew it was a dumb idea to put them in as managers i still backed them. Jan i supported until xmas. It does not matter who was in charge they have to be given time. As mentioned in that article football has gone crazy due to everyone expecting success. If you don't win a game some people expect them to be fired. How can anyone build a team in that enviroment? Comes a time when people need to look at their recent histories to see the quick fixes do not work. And if they do not work then try something else. We as a team are playing well, just a matter of time before we start beating teams. The problem is the amounts of time we are willing to give is different. and Alps i had not seen you suggest the sports psychologist. I do not think that will make much difference if people are looking for ways to bring them down. They are playing far more confidently then i can remember. If we have had a bit of luck, the right calls and been more clynical we would not even be talking about it. Eventually it will click, some expect that instantly and others don't.
  7. No offence Delldays or Alpine But you both say the same thing after every manager starts to do badly. It is about discussion as you say and you are rightly entitled to your opinion but i don't see it as an opinion more of a whine. The difference is you highlight the things which are going bad but offer no alternatives to which might make them improove. Rather then engage and offer those alternatives you just ***** about people who see different to you. If you come up with something more constructive and show your view in a way that is acceptable then people will take it seriously. But until then as i said before it is just madness to already be thinking along the lines you are thinking.
  8. Normally think The Echo is rubbish but have to say that is one of the best articles i have read and fully agree. It is madness, pure madness that people are already starting to try and put the knife in. I am not a Lowe fan, far from it, but he was right about there being a lunatic fringe. Thankfully this group of people only exist on internet forums and don't go to the games. Jeez could you imagine the atmosphere with a stadium full of those people? Would be a long que of people waiting to throw themselves off the bridge that evening that is for sure. Since i am at the games and not listening to the radio what are they saying on there then? I can just imagine Merrington and Case saying how crap we are etc..
  9. Winning our only trophey means he can do whatever the fook he wants in my book, if that is an expenses account, a statue, a stadium, his own personel mcdonalds etc etc then give it to the man. He deserves it.
  10. sell them on ebay and donate the cash to charity

    Trotman

Of what i have seen of the lad i think he had done well. Would love to see him sign permenently for us.
  13. As i said on the other thread for me the season starts basically today. The manager has been in a couple of months now and has brought in a large group of players (literally). We have a team full of men now rather then boys. Our average age must be higher then 22 which it was at onepoint last year? We have played well in the most of our games and you can see we are a solid unit. We are hard to beat. We still have some of our little lapses and they need to be worked on. We now have a block of games against easier teams. Yeovil is a must win game for us. We have to start winning games or getting out of the dropzone becomes harder. We need 4 wins already to get out of it. So this game we must show that all that progress counts because if we play **** and lose it will mean nothing. If we win 1-0 then who cares as long as we win. Someone once said they would take 1-0 every time. I would be happy with that. But no offence to Yeovil but i can see them maybe getting spanked 3-0. They are a team who have not won in 8 games and have just 1 point on their travels. If we play like we did at Charlton we will beat them. If we can win say against Yeovil,Carlisle,Gilingham,Southend and get a win out of either Bristol Rovers or Mk Dons we can be out of the drop zone. Basically meaning if we win 5 of the next 7 then we should be out of there. I would be more then happy with that. Bristol Rovers is a hard game but we can win it so who knows maybe we could win all of the next block of games. But we must take them 1 at a time. The team have no excuses now.
  14. The first thing he should do in my book is speak to those who he fell out with and clear the air. It is like Cappello having a fall out with Rooney. We would be a better team with him then without him. Burley needs to sort that side of him out. They don't play another competative game for a year now. Plenty of time to look at players who will have potential to be apart of that team etc.. It will be a hard job to do but he has the time to do it. I hope he does it because i would rather be seeing a tournement with all the home nations in it. It makes for better atmospheres.
  15. Er hang on a second here but i complained about the fact we had swapped a stable board and a good manager who got a bunch of chumps playing better then their league position implied. For a person who had already got us relegated once who thought it would be fun to bring in some dutch people who manage in the low leagues of Holland with zero experience of english football. On top of that chosing to bring in a whole host of players who were young and largely awful. You are right, i should of been jumping around in super happy mode at that prospect get real The difference is i complained at the prospect of what was going to happen. 12 months on and i was prooved right. Now things are different and there is no reason to be unhappy. And that is the difference between you and me. I can be happy knowing that the team is better, the manager is better, the atmosphere around the club is better, the chairman is better, the coaching set up is better etc etc. As i said before if you only support this club to see wins then your supporting the wrong club. To expect those wins on the back of everything that has happened in the space of 2 months is again laughable. Everything you say is laughable because you are a miserable **** that will never be happy. Even if i was negative last year i have shown that i am not always like that, i am someone who will be happy when the club is safe and heading forwards. That is happening thus i am happy. Thus why most people are happy, which part of that do you fail to understand? It does not make people strange to feel positive about what is happening, it makes people strange to feel unhappy after what has happened in the past month. What is your excuse for being a miserable ****er 24/7 hey? What will make you happy? The return of Darth Lowe? The return of the dutch system? Having no money and being close to admin again? In your 3 years on this website you have yet to post one positive thing, that is no lie i actually put myself through hell trying to re-read your post history. After all the good things that have happened especially after the past month or so not one word of positiveness. After surviving in the CCC on the last day when everyone else was celebrating not a single word. Instead snide attacks of people like LM,Crouch and Pearson. How come a year later not the same negative remarks aimed at Lowe,Wilde,JP etc etc after taking us down and into admin? And that my friend is why i laugh at you but more importantly pity you. Your words hold no meaning, hold no value. You are someone who will moan no matter what happens. You will never be happy, because you are one of those people i mentioned in the other thread who find happyness in seeing everything falling apart. Your only happy when you can moan and ***** about stuff. Your the type of person where if we go on a 10 match winning streak will magically vanish from the website only to re-appear when we lose one game to end that streak and inform everyone of how **** we are and how we are once again in deep trouble. Your post history shows that. So please do not come out on here like you are mr rightous or something passing your judgements upon people who share a different view to you. If you can't handle the fact some people actually enjoy watching Saints and how we now are then don't visit the site. I am proud to be a Saints fan, something i have not been for a longtime. If you think muppets like you can return our thoughts to the negative once again then your sadly mistaken. We have had our dark years, they are over. Get over it and move on.
  16. See i could go over every single thing and explain them but you will flip them into negativeness, that is how you are. I think i explained myself very well in the last post showing the difference of then to now. That team that was 20mins from safety would of finshed mid-table if the manager had the full season (his ppg show that). Those players you mention that were offloaded were offloaded when he was there, but on top of that he had a massive injury crisis, but he did ok didnt he? Go back through my old posts BEFORE the last season started and see my expectations. My expectations were to simply to survive relegation. Most people did not think we were going to be in a battle. This season my expectations are to avoid relegation and then next season get promoted. As i stated the difference between this season and last is massive. We have spent money. £1.7m. That is not much in terms of transfers. But again you ignore the question. You moan like a child but offer no alternatives, would you rather we keep doing it your way of crying when we don't win a game and keep firing the manager until we do? Because that worked for us didn't it? I don't expect us to beat the teams who are expected to be promoted no. Not right now, those games are too soon. Not sure how many times i can keep repeating myself..... If we played those games half way through the season then i would expct them to be wins. Not a month or so after the season started. Because once again anyone who thinks that such as yourself has no clue. People such as yourself are just whiney little ****s who will ***** and complain about every little thing. Look for the negatives because that makes you feel happy. Where as others see the difference in how the team is playing and how the club is. If your pining for those old days then go and support Pompey because they look to be doing the same thing. But you would not know what the word support means would you. So if we continue our run for 3 more games and break our unbeaten record will you be saying the club has moved forwards or looking for excuses as to why it was easy? You see it works both ways, i could go through your past comments and bring up stuff you said in 1963 and compare it to today. I would of done that but reading your past comments made me almost kill myself it was that depressing..... Seriously i challenge anybody to look through this guy's comments and find something positive he has ever said http://www.saintsweb.co.uk/forum/search.php?searchid=528474&pp=25&page=2
  17. Goodluck to him. I think in a way it is a good move because now he has 4 years to prepare. If after that time they still have not done anythin after having him for almost 7 years then all excuses are laughable.
  18. Normally a week or two after Fifa so i would guess around 20th or so of September.
  19. And here it is..... Those quotes are from a different time. A time when we had a **** chairman, a largley **** squad, a **** manager, a **** everything pretty much. You fail to include any of my other quotes most notibly the ones prior to the season starting saying "this team will get relegated if we keep our manager, squad, chairman" You fail to mention those predictions? Any fool could of seen what was going to happen then, it did not take nostradamus. You fail to include the quotes about me saying that under the previous manager (Pearson) we had won games against teams going for promotion and showing mid-table form prior to the return of Lowe. At that point just a few months after the Sheff Utd win we had basically the same squad. We could of pushed on from there. Key word being "could". But the changes in the summer stopped that didn't they? The difference between now and then is huge. We now have an end to the board room merry go round. We have a proven manager in ENGLAND. We have a decent squad, we have harmony etc etc The team that finished the 2007/08 season was a good team in places. A team that should of beaten a lot of teams in the CCC after all not even 12 months prior they had finished in the top 6. But the following season even with the new guys and new system we had the players who "could" of survived "if" the right people were in place to guide them. "If" the people from the previous season had remained we would of stayed up and beat those teams. To try and compare the two is laughable and if anything proves the point of which people try to make in that some people will moan regardless of what happens. To try and compare thoughts while your plane is spinning out of control to the ground with those of when you finally pull up are stupid. When your plane is falling your waiting for the crash, and we crashed. Ultimatly that is how it is. A club that from that disaster of last season has been handicapped for the start of this season. Those things were never down to who is here now but to those who were before. To justify their choices those games had to be won, we were told we could be promoted remember? We did not start that season with the shackles we have had to endure towards the end of that year. The difference now is the games we are playing/played are against in large teams who have been together for awhile. Huddersfield,Charlton and Millwall are three teams tipped for promotion. Teams on the up. We were a team just off life support and im sure the return fixtures will be very different. Where as just like at the start of last season we were **** right until the end of the season. There was no vision of a light at the end of a tunnel. No reason to be joyful or excited about the future. Which is the total opposite of now. We have a team just 1 month old. Like with all young things you must learn to walk before you can run. The teacher is teaching them and you can see they are learning from it. You can see people who want to be apart of what is happening here. You can see the differences. They are positive differences. If you don't feel positive about them then i genuinely feel sorry for you. The results have not come, but to look simply at the result does not tell the story. The result is what matters. But last season they were not coming because we were ****. This season they are not coming because of things such as poor refereeing. If we had been in the prem league or CCC we probably would of won those games. Anyone who has seen all the games im sure will agree that the standard of refereeing has been dire. So no i did not expect to beat Colchester,Charlton,Huddersfield etc.. i expected us to compete and for the most of it that is what we did. I expected the same last year but did not see that willingness to try. In the return fixtures when we have had time we will be much better and my expectations will grow. So you see my expectations of last year were to follow on from the end to the previous season. That is what i based my expectations on. Those are just and realistic. Where as yours are not, to be unhappy after everything that has happened in the past 3 months is understandable. To be unhappy what has happened in just the last month is not. It is stupid. So i will pose this question to you, to any of you who currently are not happy, to those of you who hink people are "happy clappy" etc.. What would you change? I'm sure we would all love to hear your ideas on how things will improve even further...
  20. Should win every game ever played and sign Ronaldo,Torres,Kaka,Pele,Shilton right? Because being a happy clappy is such an insult I think people would rather be happy and clappy then a miserable bastard. They have pills for that these days!
  21. Wierdly enough i thought the same thing! I had not heard what was going on over there as to be honest i could not give a monkies about the skates. So reading it all seemed very familiar. A guy in charge who has put none of his own money in, sold your best players, likes being in the media spotlight, has a very huge ego. Anyone who disagrees with him is instantly outcast, has no plans for going forwards, has no plans for doing anything etc etc... Is he related to Darth Lowe?
  22. Think every normal person will agree with you nick. In a way we are lucky that we have had to play most of the teams fancied for promotion already because we have an opportunity now to play lesser teams. Obviously that sounds disrespectful to those teams but that is how it is. Games against teams like Millwall,Charlton,Huddersfield etc we are not expected to win, they are teams going to be in the top 6 by the end of the season. But teams like Yeovil we are firm favourites. So for me our season starts next weekend. I have no doubt were continue our unbeaten record we are on but naturally some will find something to moan about. We will win 1-0 but people will say we should of scored 5 or 6 such is the nature of those people.
  23. Have now played both 360 and ps3 version for sometime and once again the only difference between the two is 360 is brighter. Why the fook do they keep doing that? How hard can it be to just increase brightness on the game? If you look at this eurogamer did a piece showing what i mean http://www.eurogamer.pt/gallery.php?game_id=11829&article_id=757593#anchor EDIT: Just read the forums and they have changed it for the real game, yay. They are saying a lot has been changed from the real version and the demo. They had to cut back on a few things so to keep the download size small so people on all connections could get it. The commentary in supposed to be different too so that will be interesting.
  24. Prices for FM series always vary from what i seen but normally after about a month or so it will be £17.99 everywhere. If reviews are **** then will likely be a tenner or so at xmas.
  25. these are a few bundles game do mate http://www.game.co.uk/lowdown.aspx?lid=6958&cm_sp=wii-_-topnav-_-bundles play ones http://www.play.com/Games/Wii/3-/2724/2-/Promo.html My gf's sister has a Wii and she play's Mario Kart with her mates quite a bit so i would suggest either that or the Wii Resort one. Wii has a lot of casual games so im sure there will be something on there she enjoys.
