  1. Enjoy your turkey roast yesterday shokky my friend? more turkeys killed for us than we could even eat, it is fact that most food at christmas is binned, and for what...the little baby jesus? stuff turkeys and stuff foxes.
  2. in the future people will say that the empire collapsed, perhaps it is not a comfortable thought for some but that is the truth. and stuff your history books, ask youreselves who writes history fffs!!!
  3. ah, so all dogs are hounds. i thought you were saying that your country hounds were in some way superior to my urbanised dogs. people might do well to remember that it is the landed gentry of this great country that made it great in the first place imho. it's not so long ago that we were simple peasants who couldn't even hold a knife and fork correctly. In modern times people seem to have run away with the idea that they know what is best for everyone else, ironically (in the extreme) they don;t even know what's best for themselves.
  4. dune, i am not arguing, honest. i have a friend with a paterdale (sp), they are terriers and i assumed that terriers were bred for hunting as are a lot of other breeds like pointers etc. are terriers and pointers hounds or dogs? talking of terriers, my dear old yorkie (now dead) would have been terrible at hunting, her fur would have got really knotted. deppo, don;t take it personally but i think i love you..
  5. **** off deppo. why must you insist on interupting conversations that clearly have nothing constructive to add? it is often amusing but you really should engage your brain before putting your keyboard into gear my friend. it can be a tad tedious. dune, i am being thick here but are you serious about dogs and hounds not being the same thing? save me googling it please my friend
  6. sorry. same question dune, are you like me and leave nature to dispose of your hounds waste as nature intended? obviously if my hound poo's on a pavement i move it into the gutter or adjacent grassed area. it does look like a nice way to spend a winter's day my friend, but it must be sooo frustrating to not be able to fully enjoy the experience, i say that for the hounds really as us humans can find alternative forms of entertainment but the poor hounds.....
  7. looks like fun dune, i bet the snow and frost make it all the more seasonal and cosy. i take it from the angle of shots that you don't ride yourself but iirc one of the pooches is yours, hope it's not the one in pic 3 about to have a poo as i can't see a pooper-scooper in any of the pics. do different rules apply to hunts as when me and my partner take ours out we have to be very careful to look like we clean up after them when in reality, i don't clean up after birds and other wildlife, so do not necesarily subscribe to people cleaning up after animals unless it is for the roses? do the dogs not fight each other constantly?
  8. [/img] any better?
  9. Woke up this morning full of the joys of Christmas and the birth of our saviour to find two feet of snow on my drive.
  10. the original bevois valley version was on a site called divdev.(something) iirc, you have to be a member now to view the images but i don;t know how you join sorrry.
  11. perhaps not to many within their own fanbase but would we consider Leeds last season as giant killers, personally i think it was. minnows, perhaps not but deffo punching above our weight against Blackpool.
  12. /\ exactly playing in the first round for the first time in donkeys ears, although a stark reminder that we are not the force that we once were is still a very unique feeling. I bet not one of the Dover squad have taken their eye off of beating last seasons play-off finale but i bet they would not swap you the away win against Andy Hessenthaller's Gillingham right now. They wrote a little bit of club history on that day. i heard yesterday that the FA are gonna award a new 'minnow' award for each round, awarded to the player who emulates the feat of Ray Crawford's (iirc) winner against table topping Leeds back in the seventies. I can see a few saints players looking to get their hands on that with a hat-trick perhaps or penalty save in the dying minutes.
  13. and some of the policing bill. Anyone not up for a decent cup run imo is missing the whole point of going to watch their team play; 11 men versus 11 men and anything can happen, some of these norherners can't handle our south coast climate you know. Anyway, I expect many 'pool fans are saying the same ie 'cup is a distrraction that we do not need' and for that reason they deserve to be walloped by a minnow like us. What is Ian H's record at SMS, does anyone know? I only remember the visit with Leicester a couple of years back when on a cold miserable evening.

it was worse than the failed attempt the other year to snare harry r and sam a et al. You could tell that the whole set up is as good as bulletproof and any attempt to infiltrate is futile. still doesn't explain why i watched the whole thing waiting for the killer punch though, damn you Panorama, I expected better from the beeb.

/\ agreed, i was wondering when he was gonna get to the 2018 bid shenanigans. i think it comes as no surprise to many that big 'not for profit' organisations are oft infiltrated by shysters and some even wriggle their way to the very top and then give their corrupt mates a leg up. Shame of it is that should the truth out then their might be no one left to run the show.
  16. I know that this subject is close to many hearts but I see that London Underground have taken it upon themselves to take the proverbial can-opener to this particular can of worms. http://www.blottr.com/story/london-underground-strikes-threaten-boxing-day-services "London Underground is allegedly claiming that December 26 is a normal working day" Maybe a day of strike action might not be a bad thing though as it minimises the risk of innocent saints fans coming into contact with those dirty shrekalike millwall oiks. Also, it may remind the working classes that there comes a time for everyone to just stay in and chill with their nearest and dearest and forgetting all about the big nasty outside world? Then again I might venture that RELATE might have an alternative view re confining warring partners to each others company. Boxing Day?
  17. i am guessing that anyone posting on this thread's ego prevented them from abstaining.
  18. /\ yes, i think it is that that makes them so poplar around here.
  19. very touching pes, it's nice having an illiterate mate.
  20. there were rumours of player/manager discourse with players under Lawrie Mac, mark wright is a good example. never harmed the team and in some ways galvanised the squad as it was handled properly at the time. if they had a squabble then so be it, good i say as it clears the air and reminds players and managers that we are all emotional creatures who sometimes need a fatherly tap on the shoulder and the benefit of worldly wisdom. and nought imho wrong in us knowing about it, if of course it did happen in the first place.
  21. a challenging position in which to meet someone, one might have prior knowledge of the other person, especially as we are neighbours. more fun with a stranger granted but i think we should leaf it at that.
  22. Us wants wikileaks recognised as a terrorist organisation. they'd know.
  23. /\ pool's only chance of european footie next year perhaps.
  24. fag?
