  1. i do have more than one neighbour. does that make it make sense?
  2. +1 but then again people do keep bumping it needlessly don't they.
  3. wtf is a 'dog of a blacksmith' please? is it an ugly blacksmith or maybe it is a blacksmith who reneged on a deal or suchlike? no offence intended.
  4. I wonder if anyone would be brave enough to admit to having said that when we were drawn to play Blackpool in 1976? Cost us promotion that year too iirc.
  5. caught my neighbours dog humping a cabbage on our vegetable patch this morning. my neighbour reckons his eyesight is going, he mistook it for a collie
  6. is this fact or just what you have heard dd? is there such a thing as a question that has no answer anyway?
  7. i went through dellday's mates.
  8. are you a smoker?
  9. numeracy and literacy have some distinct distinctions. anyway i am confident in saying that he has other income streams to see him through and any ill feeling toward nc is based more on (in his eyes) disloyalty and not saying thank you properly.
  10. leftback has a gripe with the current regime as they don't value what he did for the club in it's darkest hours. even on take-over the club were keen to keep him and make use of his knowledge and experience. sadly perhaps, he fulfilled his remit too early; having helped lay the sound financial systems and foundations that will hopefully stand us in good stead in the future. victim of his own success I guess but i defy anyone to not bear even a little grudge especially with no golden handshake on the table. re rupert lowe, i would guess that again his gripe relates to not just business but also lack of loyalty toward one of his very close friends in spite of the fact that he himself was kept in work throughout the regime changes. i wonder if david luker will register on here once he's handed the keys back, doubt it though as i understand that he understands that chatham house rules rule ok. anyone know who's lined up for luker's job yet? bet it's an 'outsider'. ;-)
  11. We are not exactly struggling with our current squad so why knock him. He is and always has been just a cog in the machine. !0 matches unbeaten at home and people want more! wtf! imho he can generally be relied upon to take up the attentions of at least 2 opposing defenders, he is a constant distraction to not just some of ourt fans but more importantly the opposition and how they set up to play us. Long live the king, well until january at least.
  12. Do you mean David FLETcher-Jones? the close friend of ------------ and ---------------. btw, i'm surprised that it has took this long for someone to actually name him. good detective work johnny.
  13. Grooming? Sit next to me.....
  14. does anyone have the slightest idea who leftback is? i am surprised at that as i am pretty certain that this bloke HAS 'played against' some ex saints, but not at football, thinksnooker hall i reckon..
  15. a 2 game run in the first team with the clause that if he keeeps bottling it he's out of the door. needs to step up to the plate imho. this ain't gonna get any easier morgan
  16. well, i never. spose we'll never find out why david luker is leaving now. a good servant to the club and kept us on an even keel throught the wilderness and wanted what is best for this club. Wonder who'll get their feet under his desk?
  17. dl is off soon too. will be missed.
  18. loomig forward to more Adam Snowllana snow sculptures, that one made the nationals iirc.
  19. perhaps the club kept the red ones for the squad to sign and forward to the lucky ones in a few weeks time.
  20. Nice surprise just sat here whiling away the hours. As a massive Beatkes fan and subsequently a Lennon lovie, I doff my cap to macca for this great album. Nb Personally, and based on meeting the bloke, I don;t quite get the blind poplularity of the bloke, only pipped to least favourite Beatle by that schyster Thomas the tank Richard Starkey - knobcheese of the highest order.
  21. Moot point. imho of course ;-)
  22. /\ They were well up for it and played to the crowd all the way around, made i proud it did. I have also heard that the players have been given the freedom (told) to get out and about and show their faces at more local youth team social events too. It costs nought but one cannot put a price on what the local community recoups by assocaition.
  23. sell on clause?
  24. Best half time entertainment for an age, the Albion Band would have been the icing though. Many have called for the Albion Band previously and now imho is the time to wheel them out. Those youngsters were a sight to be proud of and those working with them behind the scenes deserve our respect, it's not all about what we see on the pitch you know, it's as much about how the club involves the community in it's success, they are after all nothing without US.
