Niall Quinn, does a good job as chairman
-
I would ignore DD, it wouldnt surprise me if we dont hear from him again.
-
to be honest, I dont think we have grounds for appeal. Yesterdays non payment to football club staff just showed that really SFC were insolvent
-
Chaps it is neither St David or Tommac

As I have said before I suspect the bid will be around the £12m -£14m mark. This will buy you the club all the assets and no debt. Barclays and Aviva will settle for about approx 3m and 9m respectivley with the odd going to other creditors. No doubt Aviva will put in a clause that will mean we pay a figure back to them on contractual basis if we reach the top flight, as might Barclays. The difference between the 2 bids will be what thay can offer the club in the future and this is going to be the interesting bit. I have had communication with Tony Lynham this afternoon, and have preliminary organised a session with him to answer some questions from you guys upon completion. Details will follow

Not yet but Im sure it wont take long before someone lets it go
-
Well you might be able to see out the back of your car window, when all those SFC stickers are gone
-
I love his quote "trying to dispose of shares in a football club"
-
West Quay Megastore was shut today (well it was when i went past)
-
Its funny how these things come around. I had a phone call with someone about 2 hours ago telling me the above and it was all hush hush So it shows it doesnt take much for the rumour mill to run
-
Yes they have offered both players a new contract, but that is as far as it goes. I can almost say 99% that their agents are currently talking to other clubs trying to work out a better deal etc. The average wage in League one is about £900 - £1500 a week tops. So unless they get nothing else where, they will be here next season, but we all know how football works and I bet at leats one of them goes else where very shortly
-
Yeah I remember this being dug up last time
-
I have just dug out the company report I donwloaded a couple of years ago of the previous company that was set to take over SLH. Trican Sports and Leisure Corporation Limited The directors were Barry Beardall (Dorset-based) Stuart Green (Hampshire-based) Mark Jackson (Dorset-based) Mohammed Wasim Al Janif (Canada-based) Sheikh Hakki Gongoren Aal Dr Maskari (United Arab Emirates-based)

Would we signed Rudi Skacel the 314th? The galaxy's best waver
-
the only loyal people in football is the fans end of. People forget this just a job for them and money talks sadly, as it does in any profession. Contracts mean ****e these days
-
use your other hand then
-
lol me to, but do you think it is to with the industry getting rid of 3 and 1/2 inch floppies
-
Not many, I for one wouldnt move my Barclays account. Business is business Im afraid, SLH were a multi million company that ****ed up end of. They owe money that is due, thats it.
-
I have to admit when I hear the name Marc Jackson, I think of TRICAN, the company he set up to buy Southampton last time with the Arabs One big floor in that was Barry "the breifcase" Beardall But something is very wrong with the process at the moment if the deadlines keep getting extended, people popping up with better bids etc. Personally I think it doesnt look good
-
My other concern is that Fry is trying to sell off SLH as whole and not split the assets. SLH pre share suspension was only worth £3m. Sell the club and stadium together and then let AViva and Barclays whistle for their money as their debt was with SLH (just a thought )
-
Ponty, this is what will most probably happen
-
even with our combined millions ponty I wouldnt bother (I wish)
-
There is one question in the back of my mind that does bug me. "Why would anyone want to put in £15m and then have the adding cost of say £5m a season on the premise we might get promoted" That could be a £25-30m investment with no return. You will never make money from owning a football club as we have seen across the leagues, so why do it, especially in this climate.
