The refusal to sell a season ticket at Southampton FC
brmbrm replied to lenwilkins's topic in The Saints
The club just appear childish, spiteful and vindictive about this whole thing. Clearly a lot of people hate Nick, but that doesn't affect the pathetic behaviour of SFC over this affair. -
Deppos posts are a bright ray of humorous sunshine, so leave off! Keep up the good work Deppo (I mean that in a non-homosexual way, you understand. In fact, there is no reason why you can't be female (apart from the perceptive, witty tone of your posts ). Or does this make me sound homophobic? I'll have to think about this....)
-
A unanimously positive thread!
-
So have I. She said she likes it that way.
-
Some say so, others are not so sure. One things that is for sure is that the lock is coming pretty damn soon.

This is classic comedy: "Two men distracted him by kneeling down in front of him and tugging at his trousers as he walked outside the stadium. While he was distracted the other four thieves went through his pockets, stealing his credit cards and cash." Errr, would you notice? Is that just a "distraction" in North London? FOUR people going through your pockets and you don't notice because the two people kneeling down tugging at your trousers "distract" you? I reckon 'appy 'arry was 'aving a bit of fun and got ripped off by his 6-gang of chummies....
-
I think I know that, but it doesn't sound as much fun
-
Neutered him? Nuttered him? If you ever want an example of why spelling is important, this could be it. Our 'arry: vet or paedo - take your pick
-
Ugh? Harding deadwood? This some kind of typo or anagram or something, or just a evidence of your football judgement?
-
What: your van broke down on the way back? Or was it the work van you knicked, and they will find out about it in the next few days?
-
Mods: can we make this a sticky? (Actually it has as much merit as some of the stickies......)
-
Quite agree. Enough stickiness in life wihtout oversticky the first page. Maybe the first 4 stickies could be on page 1, all the other on page 2 or higher?
-
I thought that too, especially after his commetns about it being lowest priority, happy to be out of it, fewer games etc etc. Why bother playiong in the event then? Wjy not save the entrance fee? Or maybe, in fact about 100% definite, he makes comments like that to lessen the impact on his team that they were shown up badly by a division 3 team. Blame it all on a few reserves not being up to it and "well we didn't want to win anyway". Still bet they would rather have won 2-0 than lost 2-0.
-
Are you allowed to use hard facts on this forum? Don't they get you infracted or banned? You know you have just made a lot of people look like plonkers, don't you? Jeesh.
-
Hmm. Irony - the most misused word in the English language. Ironic, eh? Or, to put it another way, ironic, eH?
-
I agree - time to put Rory out of his misery
-
I think that's a bit unfair to Dalek - he has made some non-Hoddle-related posts recently.

Hang on, we've been trying to run this through the moronometer, but it just says "does not compute". The pitch is either ready or fit or not or whatever, and THEN D'Urso makes his decision. He could have decided a long time before and that would solve a lot of problems. But he decides on what he sees in front of his fizzog. So I suggest you itemise exactly why Charlton's gound staff got it wrong and (politely) tell them, since you clearly know a lot more about ground management that they do.
-
. "the worst pleyer ever to wear the short" Hmm, haven't seen that before. "Worst player to wear the socks"? "Worst player to wear the jock strap"?
-
Every keeper makes errors. World Cup anobody? Nah, that won't stop the whingers moaning he is "the worst pleyer ever to wear the short", "not fit", "useless" or some sort of ridiculous comments. But that's what an interweb forum is about - every ignorant dickhead has an equal say.
-
maybe, but he inherited a basket-case of a club, leaderless, rudderless and an aimless shambles. Plus the remnants of a bsaket case of leadership at the non-football level, plus a bonus strat of -10 points! How many who finished the 2008-9 season are with us now?

BBC state Pardew get Newcastle job within 24 hrs.
brmbrm replied to Paul Chuckle's topic in The Saints
I find it totally bizarre that people, like you, StRichmond, think that it is an either/or: either you win the "tin pot" trophy or you get 3/6/9 (come on, make up your mind; excatly how many points extra do you get if you don't win the"tin-pot" trophy???? How many for geeting knocked out in the first round? Second round, etc?) points extra in the league. You have been fed siht cliches in the media and you blindly gobble it up. Oh, "good cup run" or "push in the league" when statistically there is NO CORRELATION, DUH? So maybe tell us this rule that you either get to win a cup or you do BETTER in the league. Of course there isn't one. -

Mills on Radio 5 spoke very highly of Pardew. But I guess what the hell does he know compared to Sirking saint and the other arm chair "experts" here. i can't undertansd why they got rid of Hughtomn, who had doen agreat job I thought. But Pardew did well here and wildo an Ok job there. i put him as a mid-prem manager, and that's what newcastle ought to aspire to, but try telling that to some Geordie. they all thingk htey should be top 4. Jeesh! Football fans without a sense of perspective! -
I agree, plus 2 stats are missing: - pass completion rate - tackles won I think he's OK, but that's about it. He seems to make showy, low percentage and low upside passes too much: its fine if you complete 25% of your passes if those 25% have vision, split the defense and put someone through, but not if its a cross-field ball that puts you back where you were. Oh well, you pays yer money, you takes yer choice.

petulant? get yer OE out. “I wanted to be at a club where a manager wants you and believes in your ability.” Maybe he was at a club where the manager didn't want him, so he went to a club where the manager did want him ,taking a cut in pay (ugh?) and dropping down a division (double ugh??), scored the winning goal and everyone goes home happy. Or he could have stayed here and had people like you booing him every time he is on the pitch. Duh!
