OK... anyone remember the "Long Live Dubcek" graffiti on a wall along Mansbridge Road near the Garden centre(Haskins??)/Hobbycraft, used to go past it in the early 70s, as half of our Tyro league U10 team travelled to away games? I took a picture of it once (b/w) I will check to see if i still have it... is the wall/graffitti still there?

got me thinking now.. I would often catch the Number 5 on Butts Road heading for The Target and was able to see the QE2 funnel in berth from Butts Road!!

yes i was thinking of the number 5 bus going the other way... past the Dell and all the way to hightown and then down Butts Rd to Weston. Oh and just another great bus ride that rivals the number 5 epic is... is... the Hants and Dorset 93!!

What about the sports shop opposite the cinema in woolston. used to buy my adidas ROM and various subbuteo teams from there!!

Used to miss the last number 5 bus from the bottom of lances Hill and had to walk from there all the way to hightown flats. My route would take me past 1 sholing sports FC 2. Elephant & castle pub 3. The target pub 4.The target pub bridge (known as "over the bridge" for all the scraps after school for those who attended Hightown middle school (also gone) 5. and finally hightown secondary school (now centrepoint??)

The Torquay result is going to be a watershed for us. Why? Because last night we got a break.. we won a pen shoot out, which given our past glories has been rare of late. That win will give us confidence because thats what happens in those circumstances.. the "high" from that will be important. Add to that the 4-1 win and thats the beginning of that "mentality" that AP is after. It maybe a small green shoot of recovery, but we,ve been supporting ateam in a desert for the last few years. 5 out of 5 pens will work wonders for those who took them (especially James & Wotton) and KD will also add to his kudos (if not here, then at the club). Well done boys. Next step...?
