Didnt we lose this game 5-4? Tickets for the FA Cup 3rd rd home match v Chelsea went on sale that evening and having queued for them, I missed the first 5 mins and only found out at half time that KK had scored a "worldy" in the first minute. This was the week before xmas and we went to WHL on Boxing Day and drew 4-4 after being 2-0 and 4-2 down.

September 83. I went and the only reason we started was because it was on MOTD. It was absolutely farcical and should have been called off after 5 mins, rather than 20. When it was replayed we lost. Could have done with those 3 points at the end of the season.

Luton. Friday night game 25 Jan 1980. Weekend of the 4th rd of the FA Cup and we had lost to Brum in the 3rd. I went (for the first time) in the bench seats under the east stand with, former poster of this parish, Rich Ember. He had broken his ankle playing footy a couple of weeks before. The game was called off after about 20 mins and we went on the pitch and took penalties, ie. throwing one of his crutches into the Milton Rd goal. We were less than popular with the groundsman.

Keep up (your) Trousers.

A group of them are investing £1,000 each to create the largest community-owned club in Britain in a bid to save the team they love. "For me, this is about my kids, who all have Pompey in their names," supporter Micah Hall told BBC Sport in November. Looks like the "Intrepid Sleuth" may need his money back pronto, to pay his own legal costs.

I thought it was to let me get home by my bedtime?

I was there. It was another Monday night game at Upton Park and Jenkins ran from the edge of our area to theirs and I swear he went past Bobby Moore three times, as well as a couple of other defenders.

What cheese do Findus put in their lasagne, so you dont know you are eating horsemeat? Mascarpone.

What are you on? Surely everyone knows that there is as much chance of Man Utd getting relegated as West Ham.

Terry Paine shoved him as he was about to head it out. It flew backwards into the net. There was a great photo on the front of the next home match programme.

Arsenal won the league in 89. Michael Thomas scored in the last minute at Anfield.

Not that I would have them in my favourite films list, but I find myself watching Speed and any of the Bourne series everytime they come up on TV. Bourne Identity last night for example.

Or, "Will Hoskins", as SSN called him when showing his goal.

Players who have gone out on loan over the years

McGoldrick going out on loan as a youngster was great preparation....... for a career of going out on loan. -
A new name to add to the list of creditors.

Barnet was a pre-season friendly in 2010. York was an FA Cup 4th rd tie in 1971. In my count of 82 I included Aldershot as I went to a league cup match against Norwich back in 1984. Didnt see much as it was played in thick fog and we had to ask Bryan Gunn who had scored.

Wigan 2-2 SAINTS /// Post-Match Reactions
Lets B Avenue replied to Saint-Armstrong's topic in The Saints
He did the Bournemouth away game 2 years ago which we won 3-1. He had to send Gobern off at the end for that ridiculous "kung-fu" tackle. I'm pretty sure that was the last time Ricky scored with a free-kick.
