  1. 105 5 Vince out will be all over today probably 5 wickets lost this morning Our middle order batting looks rather poor at the moment We have a long tail and not much in the way of class bowlers
  2. I totally agree with you but how the points you raise are to understood by the working man in the street when most of the tabloid press feeds us with half truths I dont know. I just feel that the media should show more respect to the members of parliament but that is very difficult when lots of them seem to be at Westminster just to line their own pockets.
  3. Not me but the Real Ale Drinking Miss Whistle
  4. Yes I agree all Pardew's signings have so far been OK so if he rates Mullins thats Fine by me
  5. Well I think a lot of people would react in the same way
  6. So what would you do play for Southampton at £5k a week or Reading at £6k per week
  7. Or trying to get a better contract at Reading lets face it most footballers dont care who they play for only how much they are paid
  8. I think he was unlucky that he was recorded no doubt Clegg and Cameron have had similar spats with their aides. I think Brown had a point the Aides did not seem to have found a voter to assist the Labour cause.
  9. Who has labelled them bigots on this forum I said Yes I agree but there is a serious problem with some of them who believe that immigrants are swamping the country. There has been an influx of Eastern Europeans but most seem to pay tax and do a reasonable job in fact a pub I go to is run by a Polish family. We need to be in Europe as it is our largest trading partner and equal number of Brits go to work and live in Europe. So the attitude of this voter may have come to a be a complete surprise to Brown who got frustrated by it I think he should have addressed her concerns and not apologised because bigot was not the right word ill informed might be.
  10. That is one of the problems I agree the Daily Mail/The Sun do not give an unbiased report of the situation But I did say the problem should be dealt with because it is an issue which is festering I know in Slough nearby there have been a large influx of Eastern Europeans
  11. Yes we do but not a 36 year old Lee Carsley who has been injured and not played in the League this year. See what happened to Murty
  12. God only knows what Alpine will contribute

  14. The facts are in this Web Page http://www.readingfc.co.uk/page/NewsDetail/0,,10306~2037497,00.html
  15. So what really is the problem buying an unfit injury prone 36 year old
  16. The 36-year-old's last appearance for Blues was in the FA Cup at the start of the year and he has not been involved in a League game since early November. The former Republic of Ireland international has also been sidelined by an ankle knock there seem to be two very good reasons not to sign him
  17. They were 100 for 7 when I looked earlier now 327 for 9 382 all out
  18. Sorry just think you are wrong Posting on emotion not realism and not seeing the wider a picture based on a belief that Markus will be here forever and willing to spend most of his fortune.
  19. Yes I agree with you I only meant lots of Fans from other teams do not realise we have a wealthy backer thats all
  20. The problems with coalitions is that the electorate do not actually know what policies will be adopted after the election because some of each of the partners will be adopted. Labour have suggested some kind of PR ie AV to be decided by a Referendum. The Tories dont like the thought of PR because Lab/Lib seems to be a more likely partnership than Con/Lib - lots of Liberal supporters came from the SDP the breakaway section of the Labour Party

    The Euro

Yes I think they cheated apparently
  22. John B

    The Euro

I dont think that is particularly true Darling has said that cuts are going to be very deep The problem is that the election has possibly come at the wrong time if it had been in October growth and unemployment would be known and the actual scale of cuts could then be worked out. Personally I like the idea of Tax increases as well as spending cuts but we will have to see what happens but the problems in the Eurozone are not helping Greece probably entered the Euro without meeting the criteria
  23. By the way it is the Six Nations thses days never been to a Six Nations match but there were 60000 at Twickenham on Sauturday and I did not see any trouble. Although I was a bit upset watching Sky before kick off with Huddersfield scoring six
  24. And has given Ottery St Mary a new hero after Lowes departure and the forum lots of pointless threads and posts;)
