So who's travelling the furthest for the Pompey game?
John B replied to lordswoodsaints's topic in The Saints
I am watching it on the TV The chair I will be sitting on is about 10 foot from this Computer:D -
Very true Received this Email from A Luton Fan last night Were you one of the 30,000 at St Mary's on Tuesday ? As Luton won the Johnson's Paint Trophy last year I know how thrilling a semi-final win and a visit to Wembley can be

Perhaps Cortese needs a reality check football is not like other businesses there are so many influences like injuries suspensions referee decisions and player errors to contend with. Probably if Connolly had been fully fit and scored a goal at Millwall Brentford and Exeter things may have been different but he was injured and did not play that is the reality of Football. Leon Best missed a penalty at Derby and Killer got injured when we were in the Premier League these things happened if they had not perhaps Cortese would not be here today. Similar things will happen when he is in charge but I am certain results will start to improve very shortly

It is of course because of the minus ten points and poor start to the season after going into Administration that we were unlikely to get to the playoffs However in both the FA Cup and JPT where we started on a level playing field with other clubs we have excelled as the only League 1 Club in Round 5 and getting to the final of the JPT. It seems a pretty good season to me and I think the thousands who saw the game on Tuesday most will agree.
-
Surely they are not going to cancel the play offs
-
Yes I agree or only relegate two from the CCC
-
That is ridiculous we are no nearer the playoffs now than we were yesterday
-
Perhaps you should have gone to SpecSavers;)

I dont understand how anyone can get Lallana mixed up as they dont look very similar.

Yes it was Waigo From BBC 14:28 Assist on the goal came from Ndiaye Papa Waigo. 14:28 GOAL - Richard Lambert: Southampton 1 - 0 MK Dons Richard Lambert finds the back of the net with a goal from deep inside the penalty box to the bottom right corner of the goal. Southampton 1 (2)-(0) 0 Milton Keynes Dons.

Yes I agree - I thought Fonte had problems with Kelvin a couple of times. I also thinl Antonios long throws are a waste of time as well

According to people I know at Crawley bids received during the Window were not acceptable not sure whether SFC bid

Ok Alan....Now pick the same starting line-up for all remaining games

Although we were not that good MK Dons were a lot worse so perhaps we are expecting too much. Would not be surprised if Pardew went 4 5 1 again against Norwich -
I think with the -10 and the poor start to the league season getting to the JPT final shows that the club is going forward and success in the Cups has been very enjoyable. League results maybe what matters to NC/ML but nights to remember like last night is what matters to myself and other fans I would have thought. It was a pleasure to see loads of young kids very excited by the result and they will remember no doubt the last night in years to come like I remembered the night in 1979 when Terry curran's goal at the Archers Road End against Leeds also got us to Wembley. We will get to CCC soon but let us enjoy the Cup Win

So do I but I wish he would be a little more adventurous and not keep tinkering with the team

But Connolly and Murty are constantly injured which has probably cost us dear this year in the League. Not Sure Fonte and Jaidi complement each other but as it was the first time they played together we will have to wait and see. -

Sorry dont agree he does not have the skills to be a very good RB. He also gets booked too often because he cant control his temper. He should play football and let the Ref control the match Hero to you Pratt to me and others in the Chapel last night. He could easily have been sent off last night making our defence weak for Saturday's game -
We thought he was very good lots of pace and commitment.

Thomas is not that good as a RB his ball control and distribution is poor he did virtually nothing in attack compared with Harding. But as a defender he is OK -

Papa I thought was quite good running and putting pressure on the defence. Not sure about Antonio though but his long throws were boring and a waste of time after the 20th one why not do something different -
We all thought he would be sent off and would not have played on saturday. There is a difference between passion and stupidity and Thomas was looking for a fight continually arguing with the ref
-
We were not very good and MK Dons were a lot worse
-
We were OK for half an hour or so up to the second goal I thought but after that pretty dire
-
Very good result but poor game. Somebody behind me said we were **** after an hour I disagreed with him but at the end agreed with him. Thomas was a disgrace arguing all the time lucky not to get a second yellow
