So, why DID Mark Fry prefer Pinnacle over Liebherr?
John B replied to trousers's topic in The Saints
So you unlike Mr Fry are an expert in administration then? Perhaps Pinnacle were bidding more than the Swiss and if ML had bid more he could have had theclub earlier -
Jolly Good but results is what matters and until they appear I will not be happy thats all. It is not much to ask surely for a few wins I may need to be more patient only time will tell
-
Yes but SFC at the moment is not unfortuntely
-
I am really pleased that you are confident of success I may feel that way hopefully in the future
-
Yes but Guinness do have a decent product which has been around for 250 years
-
Sorry but all I want is a football team playing decent football not a lot of PR Hopefully that will happen soon but it is results on the field which matter to me at the moment that is not really happening. We have been promised a lot in recent years only to be brought back to reality by a non winning team. Pardew did not seem to be confident that the team was going to gel which was slightly concerning

I think most fans agreed with Fry at the time -
Do you really think we can compete in the Premiership if and when we return with the club in its current state without a huge amount of investment both on and off the field
-
I would prefer the club to invest in players to get us back into the Premiership than increasing the capacity of the Stadium. Of course if we did get back to the Premiership that is a different story

Ye I totally agree hindsight is a wonderful thing we are where we are now and hopefully things will get better However I am not sure why Markus bought the Club and how we are to return to the Premiership in five years with out loads of money being spent on the team -
Thank you
-
I agree but we will only be really happy when results on the pitch improve and promotion from League 1 becomes a reality
-
I would rather have a crowd of 10000 and a winning team
-
I think you maybe over reacting slightly. Not all posters are continually slagging off players but are putting forward their ideas of why things are not going right on the field. That is the point of a forum I would have thought one would have thought with the squad we have that the team would be doing better on the pitch. Although perhaps Delldays Post above is more to the point

Not today Wolverhampton 01 Hennessey 03 Elokobi 16 Berra 27 Mancienne 04 Edwards (Maierhofer 70) 08 Henry 15 Halfordyellow card 17 Jarvis (Kightly 86) 35 Castillo 10 Keogh 29 Doyle (Ebanks-Blake 77) Substitutes 13 Hahnemann, 23 Zubar, 26 Hill, 07 Kightly, 20 Milijas, 09 Ebanks-Blake, 33 Maierhofer

I agree but we are still unable to score many from open play
-
Exactly it is really rather worrying that with strikers like Lambert and Saga we are not scorin enough goals like I suggested in a thread last week
-
I like that formation but having never seen Papa I dont know if that is his best position
-
that does not seem to be a particularly clever post to me. Ricky Lambert the league's top scorer from last season is a completely different situation compared with Papa. We should just let him play and see how good Papas he may turn out to be a decent player only time will tell
-
I disagree there is too much hype regarding him which is unlikely to help him adjust to English conditions.
-
Obviously you have no idea what assumptions are I said the poster is expressing a simple opinion as lots of fans are thinking that Waigio or whatever his name is going to be an outstanding player. He maybe but only time will tell but he is probably no better than BWP who played for a Premiership before coming to SFC
-
I agree
-
No I am selling Josh Lacey God is Brazilian on EBAY
-
Well I think you are extremely rude The poster is expressing a simple opinion as lots of fans are thinking that Waigio or whatever his name is going to be an outstanding player. He maybe but only time will tell but he is probably no better than BWP who played for a Premiership before coming to SFC

Charles Miller arrived in Brazil with a pair of boots, a book of rules and a football. When he reached Sao Paulo, he was shocked to discover that no-one knew how to play. So he marked out a pitch, gathered twenty young men, and divided them into two teams...Today, Brazil are the greatest exponents of the beautiful game, and Charles Miller has been all but forgotten.
