That may be what will happen but there is the possibility that we can gain enough points for promotion so that we can have a couple of league games against Pompey next season before their demise and our rise:D

Spoke to a Pompey supporter on Sunday who said they had signed no one really good and sold £60 million which I found a little high but probably true

I dont really understand why somebody from Scotland would come down here to a League 1 club but I await developments with interest

Decisions in the past were taken because of the financial situation we were in now we have no financial problems the club will be able to invest more hopefully to make the team better.

Having no debt and a wealthy owner helps the situation at the moment. But it is results which count at the end of the day and I am hopeful that these can be achieved but having endured over four years where things have gone horribly wrong I will believe when it happens

Of course there are usually two sides to every story but nothing that has been said really suggests that the Lynam and Co were trying to make some money and their bid failed because of lack of capital which happens a great deal in similar situations. ML with all his wealth did not have that problem. So the original question genuine or bogus does not seem to be answered The person alledgedly involved with introducing ML to SFC and who is now COO was involved with the club two years ago when we were looking for investment it is a shame he did not contact ML then.

Just because there have been so signings it does not mean that no neogiations are in progress.

I was not talking about the Pinnacle affair only but his involvement with Wilde and the involvement in getting the club in to so much debt. He did it with the best intentions like MLT with Pinnacle but it may have been the wrong thing to do.

But it is quite true what the poster is saying. Crouch appears to have a big heart but does not do the the right thing all the time

No one knows how we will do this season because it is based on what the club wants to achieve and how they want to go ahead. ML owns the club and it is his decision on what is going to happen and as yet I dont think he has in anyway outlined his plans. It is unlikely that after spending in excess of the reported £12m that he will want to own a club that is not successful. The coaching and management staff is taking shape and probably new players have been lined up. However problems with overpaid strikers from previous regimes still have to be resolved and are clouding the issue a lot. Last season with a lack of funds and a lack of fan approval meant that the club was going to struggle this season this is not going to happen but how we progress will depend on how the club wants to proceed and we will have go a long with it. With -10 points and currently with ann under performing team with little confidence an immediate return to CCC seems unlikely.

Perhaps those posters with limited intelligence should be denied acceess to this forum. Then I suppose there would be nothing much to say
