I am amazed that we have sold our allocation for a Friday night game with the team playing shit. Has the club taken the full allocation for Newcastle and Nottm Forest?

I dont really go for criticising managers and players but today was an absolute shambles. I would probably give a 6/10 to KWP and probably 5.5 to JWP and Lavia, possibly the same for Alvarez for his shot that hit the post but beyond that the rest were dire. And there seems to be no cohesion in the team which is down to the coaching staff.

I am far too dispirited to check our results since Sports Republic took over last January but wonder if any one has the information to hand. It must be pretty gruesome reading. Also if you look at this January signings ie Sulemana, Orsic, Alcaraz, Bree and the fabulously talented Onuachu for around £66m in total and probably Bree is the only one, arguably, who looks worth the pin money spent on him. And, of course, we now have a rather large debt to manage which is likely to remain a large weight round the club's neck for the forseeable future. If anyone came into the club with the express intention of ruining it, then Sports Republic seem to be well placed to take the honours.

Surely someone must have seen him play or was he bought on cameos from video clips. So far, as far as I can see, he is in the Ali Dia and Carillo mould and on course to be a £20m flop.

It appears that the deal Minister for Trade, Kemi Badenoch, has agreed with the 11 members of Asia-Pacific trade bloc (subject to Parliamentary Agreement, which the Tory majority will nod through) marks the point where Brexit cannot be reversed. The differences in rules between the CPTPP and the EU makes it impossible for the UK to rejoin the EU, or even the EU's customs union, without first leaving the CPTPP. The likes of Lord Snooty/David Frost etc etc will see this as the ultimate pay-off for the decision to leave the EU and 'write our own rules'. Others will see that Britain will now be forced to accept imports even when there are real differences in standards such as those covering food, pesticides, antibiotics in livestock farming and hormone treated beef. There is also a corporate court system at the heart of the CPTPP which will allow corporations to sue the British Govt for treating them unfairly. There seems to be little benefit to improve market access to services which account for 43% of Britain's exports. All this for a boost to UK GDP estimated at 0.08% over 10 years. Seems one hell of a deal (or not!!)

Lets grasp the positives from our 4-1 defeat. Same result as City's game v Liverpool and the 3 goal difference was the same as the result against Bayern Munich. We are riding on the shoulders of giants I tell yer.😀

For the attention of any interested party, Salisu is great, an excellent prospect for the future, a real team player, kind to his family, friends and pets, no off the field issues, a good trainer and worth every penny of the +£50m the club is reluctantly going to ask for his transfer at the end of the season.

To my mind it is most important to make kids tickets very cheap. This may affect the 'atmosphere' but the younger generation are our future and there are so many alternative things to do nowadays. It would be good to consider offering up the Chapel end as home to the vocal supporters but not sure how this could be achieved without causing problems with existing supporters in the area.

There is quite a few suggestions that Dragan should sell up. That supposes there are buyers at the right price. Sports Republic has supplied the funds, probably more than expected, The problem is that the funds have not been used in the right way. Recruitment on certain players has been abysmal.

I am distressed that you have not mentioned Derek Reeves!!!

I very much doubt it. Our players know we are going down, Man City want to make up for the 2-0 loss in the cup game. I fear an absolute trouncing

Doesnt the 0.08% figure cover the benefit over 10 years??

I still think the BBC is a national treasure and well worth the Licence Fee. That said I happened to catch 'The One Show' a day or so back and witnessed Prince Andrew's ex wife and current hanger on, obtain free publicity and a good arse licking from Alex Jones and Jermaine Jenas. I hope that those people at the BBC who authorised this nonsense are ashamed of themselves and Fergies performance will not encourage anyone with an ounce of sense to buy her ghost written book.

Bearing in mind the propensity of US citizens to go to court, I wonder if a group of parents, who have lost loved ones to mass killers, could start a class action against the NRA or individual Republican Senators.

I have read somewhere that you need to become enjoined with someone, preferably of the other persuasion, to catch syphilis.

Did Rupert agree to pay £1m for FourPast? Dixon & Speedie deserve a dishonourable mention, bought with the money received for Shearer Kevin Keegan and Shiton were very decent buys also Ivan Golac

Wonder what the feedback is in Stoke about Liam Delap who, it is understood, we were willing to bid £20m for from Man City
-
Wonder what the results have been since Sports Republic took over on 4th January 2022> As I recollect it started quite well, even beat Brentford 4-1 the only home game I have enjoyed in over a year (I missed the Man City cup win!!!) Any news how the Turkish investment is going?

He made me laugh with his first touch out on the left touch line. Not sure what he was trying to do but it sort of summed up his skill set ie similar to someone who has only recently come into the game from basketball.

Can anyone see anything of merit in Tall Paul? Another £20m spunked away. I dont suppose he shares the same agent as Carillo
-
Apparently Blackburn fielded a wakened side as some of their better players were in the squad for the game at Stoke

Reflecting back on the game, I come up with the following comments. 1. Leicester werent that great but they created far more chances than we did. 2. I think JWP is a top player for us but that was the second pen he has missed this season. 3. Maddison is a cut above JWP in his all round game but both are excellent players. 4. Alcarez was lucky not to have been sent off for the tackle in the first half. 5. Saints were generally unlucky against Grimsby with VAR and the yellow that should have been red. The luck went with us big style v Leicester but we cant rely on luck for the rest of the season. 6. It was nice to leave St Marys for a change without having to listen to celebrating opposing fans. 7. Unfortunately I dont think we have the squad to stay up.

Targett is on £100k a week at Newcastle apparently

Wonder if anyone can confirm that Chelsea paid us £5m for Jimmy J Morgan and are paying him £20k a week (for a 17 year old)???

Is there any video of the game including the goals?
