As the headline says, are the likes of Carillo, Hoedt, Claisie, Cedric back at Staplewood? Anyone know? Appreciate Boufal has been away missing a penalty in the African Cup
-
Perhaps Lucketts who are a bigger company and operate Coliseum Coaches and run Pompey away games

An extended Life sentence for all us long suffering fans!!

Training facility in the SO Post Code and not paying rental!!

Apparently there are plans to demolish it and replace the stadium with a new one next door. Although it was a disappointing result in a game we really should have won, there were around 7,000 of us who were there to put on an excellent level of support possibly unrivalled for English teams in the stadium. One to remember for many of us.

Was this an actual game as I understood the FA did not countenance mixed games Where did the U19 mens squad come from? That said I would expect a decent professional or semi professional mens team to beat an International womens team. I was really comparing a local mens amateur team in the comparison

Have found myself watching a few games and appreciating the significant improvement in skill and fitness levels in the female game. I once watched a few minutes of a local women's game a few years back and the standard was less than youth level I played at a decent level in my youth and I wonder how the current top level of the women's game would compare with our performances. I think it would compare pretty favourably in many aspects although the standard of goalkeeping and heading may possibly be areas for discussion in view of the increased size and ability of men in these positions, even at amateur level.

This is good news. Bit unexpected from my view as I know a few who have not renewed. As the Echo says, it sees to justify the pricing policy of the commercial dept

No Lemina or Romeu or Yoshida?

George Kirby in any game he played!! Some of Dennis Hollywood's tackles were 'meaty' to say the least, especially when up against Mike Summerbee of Man City!!

Didnt realise that Cuco Martina had been out on loan to Feyenoord (with Claise) from Everton, via Stoke, from January. Everton looking for £1m transfer apparently!!

I must admit to possessing a modest degree of support for the monarchy and, as such, feel that the Duke of Cambridge's support of Aston Villa shows him in a good light. It would have been so easy to express support of one of the bigger clubs but he decided to (enthusiastically it seems) attach himself to a middle order club. Compare this to David Cameron and Tony Blair who, with politicians view on self publicity, reckoned they were respectively Villa and Newcastle fans. Cameron even became confused which team in claret & blue he supported and, at one stage, thought he was an 'Ammers fan!!

Lloyd Isgrove went on loan to Pompey for second part of the season but didnt play a game Now released by his parent club, Barnsley.

Apparently Liverpool have 17 different throw in plans versus ours of one ie give the ball to our opponents!!
-
May as well throw the ball straight to opponents. We never seem to have any idea what to do with the ball from throw ins!!. This has been going on all season. Quite separately we had a decent attack in the first half and the ball went across to Shane Long via a defender but our Shane was given offside. I assumed that if the last touch was via a defender this played the receiving player onside. Am I wrong?

Great opportunity for (many) youngsters to meet the players after the end of the hours training session To my mind there wasnt a great deal to interest young fans on the pitch and it would have been good to have some idea exactly what was going on as there were a number of small goals that the players were trying to score into with high tempo passing and movement. Meanwhile Gunn, Forster and two of the younger keepers were being put through their routines separately. Charlie Austin has a new hair colour (seems to be cream!!) and Mo Elonouyssi seems as limited in practice as he is in a proper game Not sure how much it costs the club in the training dept but there seemed to be about a dozen track suited people either involved or observing the session. The pitch looked in absolutely superb condition bit soon to be threatened by the Take That and Rod Stewart concerts!!

Best one for me was the FA Cup 6th Rd home game v Nottm Forest in 1963. We were a middling 2nd Division club versus upper position 1st Division Forest. We had drawn 1-1 at the City Ground in the first game In the replay at the Dell we had been outplayed and were 3-0 down with approx 12 mins left when we pulled back what I thought was a consolation goal only to use this as a springboard to batter (and I mean batter thanks to our very physical centre forward, George Kirby) and went on to equalise. The atmosphere at The Dell was probably one of the best I can remember No goals in extra time so over 30,000 of us travelled to White Hart Lane for the second replay to witness one of the best attacking displays I have seen from a Saints team. We won 5-1 and went on to play Man Utd in the semi final at Villa Park but lost 1-0 in a close fought game

Congratulations (through gritted teeth!!) They must be 'worth' double on the transfer market now Wonder if there are any financial benefits to us if Liverpool win the Champions win

Its a shame to criticise a player who has come through the system but Jack Stephens is not Premiership standard in any position. Bear in mind that Jack was not even first choice when on loan at Middlesborough

Apparently there is a Facebook campaign to get him recognised in the honours list If Alan Knight can get a MBE for playing for one team then Frannie should at least replicate this for the same arrangement plus a little extra (ie raising some coinage for cancer research)
