Blimey. What about the Jets? Are they going to do what the Ravens did last year and fall at the Championship game stage, or can they stuff the Colts. That game is full of intrigue. The Saints v Vikings game will be full of offense!

The Semi-annual 'Would you want David Prutton back?' thread
bungle replied to Arizona's topic in The Saints
No. He's not very good. Wouldn't even entertain the thought. Took us far too long to get rid of him first time around. -
If cutting services to the detriment of the elderly and vulnerable floats your boat, so be it.

I'm more than happy for Cruddas and others to show up the Tories for what they are. Nottinghamshire County Council is a prime example, as is Barnet (I think) and the so called 'easyCouncil'. Disgusting, and needs to be highlighted.

Soundbite politics from Farage once again.
-
Seeing as that is an independent study, not linked to a political party, saying that "any government" "might" cut the armed forces by 20%, one can only assume this is the armed forces themselves trying to look after their own interests.

Er. If you click on "about" and "who are we" it tells you all about who runs it. Not like you to miss the obvious. Also, what Tory councils up and down the country are doing is utterly disgusting.

Geaux Saints! Was absolutely petrified after that opening play from scrimmage, but our offense was awesome and the D sorted itself out and played a hell of a game. Next week will be much more difficult. Ravens didn't have any offense, as I predicted. It was that 4 minute spell just before half time that cost them the game.

Pleased to hear you got what you wanted for Christmas.

They are playing cricket again. Drat.

Are you coming for an al fresco drink at the grapes?
-
Well done. See you there. I am still miffed at how we have never bumped into each other. Although perhaps you are steering clear after that midweek game at Birmingham!

How come when you live 40 miles away, you aren't at the Test? Out of interest. etc.

You will have to keep trying them to make sure you get a duplicate arranged (or ask for a refund so you can buy a fresh ticket on the day).
-
Presume you are calling the ticket office number which isn't the booking line number? You will have to keep trying, as you will need to ask for a duplicate. Also, e-mail dluker@saintsfc.co.uk, rather than the ticket office address.

Many apologies. I mis-read your earlier post as it was raining where you are and would take 40 minutes to reach J'burg. Many apologies.

Incorrect.

Bet of the weekend: Win double - Southampton and New Orleans. The Saints double. Tenner on pays back around £35. Enough for a curry and a few beers. Sorted.

I know. And it's sh*t.

Smith edged, caught behind. Given not out. England refer. Still not out. Sky say there was a clear noise and he clearly edged it. Turns out SABC didn't given the 3rd umpire any sound during the review.

Reasons to watch the African Cup of Nations
bungle replied to fish fingers's topic in General Sports
Only one game today, due to the tragic circumstances leading to Togo's withdrawal. But what a game it is, Ghana v Ivory Coast. Thought it might be a dud, with both teams content to draw and then just beat Burkina Faso to go through. But after the 0-0 draw between them and Ivory Coast, today's game becomes all important. If Ghana win, the Elephants would be in real danger of going home. -
Divisional Play-off Weekend predictions (0% success rate guaranteed): Cards @ Saints: Despite the entertainment value of the Cards game last Sunday night, it showed up several weaknesses. Warner has struggled in the Dome before, and the Cards D won't be able to cope with the Saints offense. Saints to get off to a flyer and win comfortably. 45-24. Ravens @ Colts: Can the Ravens D carry them again. Manning will find this a stiff test, but unless the D can score points I can't see the Ravens winning, their offense just isn't good enough. Ravens 10 Colts 24 Cowboys @ Vikings: The Cowboys are on fire and the best all around team in the NFC at the moment. The Vikings are a good team, but they couldn't win a meaningful game down the stretch when they had a great chance at the #1 seed. Cowboys 31 Vikings 28 Jets @ Chargers: Are the Chargers the best team in the NFL? I think so. They weren't phased by the Donks 6-0 start and went on to cruise the AFC West. The Jets run the football and play good D, so they'll keep it close. Jets 13 Chargers 20
