  1. +1. Not a chance that a unified World Championship would be held there. Perhaps the Lakeside tournament would be a "Amateur World Championship" for those not competing on the main Pro Tour, or somesuch?
  2. Haha. Excellent.
  3. The BDO won't fizzle out to nothing as it is "the guardian" of the game at "grass roots" levels. Even Barry Hearn admits he needs the BDO as he needs county darts to produce players that are good enough to move across to the PDC. Eventually it will come back together as the BDO World Championship will be utterly worthless, and the BDO won't just be able to run a county and international game without any major tournaments. Having said that, it would be a shame to lose the history of "The Lakeside" from darts.
  4. The real question now is how many years before darts reunifies? It can't be too far off.
  5. When I walked home from the pub at 1am there was no snow. When I got up at 6am there was snow. Interesting.
  6. Barely a cloud in the sky here in Bath. Phew, what a scorcher!
  7. I wondered why they had sold out when I got there. Damn you panic buyers.
  8. Nice and bright in sunny Bath. No need to panic.
  9. Hmmm. Did this debate really happen?
  10. Tickets went on sale just before Christmas. Today is only the 2nd day of "back to normal" - it's hardly surprising that we haven't shifted many.
  11. They should go for Lewis ahead of Gary Anderson. However, they missed a trick by not having a Scot last year when they were playing at 3 Scottish venues. Back down to 2 this year, but it probably still makes commercial sense.
  12. Oh, f*cking, no. Five minutes. F*ck me. Idiocy.
  13. They haven't updated on the PDC website yet, but: Taylor, Barney, Wade top 3. Think Lewis is now in top 6. Ronnie Baxter might be as well. If not he is very close. Jenkins and King could both have dropped out (although neither were 'defending' money at this World Championship, King as he wasn't in 2 years ago and Jenkins as he lost round 1). Part is definitely out. So, I believe the top 6 are: Taylor, Wade, Barney, Lewis, Baxter and Jenkins. Wild-cards: Whitlock might well get one after that performance. Then probably down to King, Webster, Gary Anderson and maybe Colin Osborne.
  14. Pat Summerall and John Madden. The greatest commentary team of them all. FACT.
  15. I am also constantly miffed that no-one seems to know how the draw works.
  16. A pretty good final, I thought. Big checkouts by both players, and Whitlock was a little unlucky not to get a couple more sets. Taylor pulled out some massive shots when they were needed most, and ultimately proved that he is the best, without question. Roll on the Premier League!
  17. How about the old Rueben Agboola song, which a number of people have been singing anyway?
  18. Part of me wants England to drop Pietersen for Carberry in 4th Test. But then that means Hampshire would end up with a weakened batting order.
  19. Bloody hell. All out. 291. Excellent start to the day.
  20. Kallis out almost immediately this morning.
  21. And they will all claim to be locals as well. C*cks.
  22. Yes, that should be excellent. I got very drunk yesterday. We bought too many tokens, so had to spend some on a jug of vodka red bull (with x number of tokens worth of vodka thrown in on top) and had to drink a pint of it rather quickly. A great day as always. Definitely got on TV as well! And one of our group lost £160 betting!
  23. Wahey! Tomorrow's the day. Having said that, am looking forward to Wednesday night and Barney v Painter.
