  1. Just buy from ticket office at Colchester on the day. They should be there from first thing. I phoned Colchester Utd earlier on today.
  2. Yes, when I spoke to him that is what he said. They are available to buy from 10am tomorrow.
  3. I have just spoken to Colchester Utd and there are 400-500 tickets available from 10am (ish) at their ground tomorrow.

  5. Kind of in the same boat as you, Matt. Wondering what to do. Might go up on the day, anyway.
  6. If the buses hadn't been deregulated....
  7. Think her other half was there, so lets hope your mate didn't get too involved! All sorted for Tuesday lunchtime now: Hamilton v Beaton, Jenkins v Young and Whitlock vs Jones. Let's hope for a good 'un (and no further snow!).
  8. Quite thin and brunette?
  9. I'm impressed Hatch remembers!
  10. I don't know how to feel about this statement.
  11. You went Saturday lunch time, didn't you? I think you must have met the Fair Oak/Eastleigh lot who were up there. I know a few of them. Beer sounds like it has gone up a bit from last year. I hate John Smith's, but what can you do, not going to go without, am I!?! Only 6 days to go now. Can't wait. Looking forward to seeing the Bronzed Adonis!
  12. Yes, I appreciate that people aren't likely to attend the pub 6 nights a week all year round, but it would be nice if they popped in once or twice a year rather than just on Christmas Day (and also there are the Christmas Eve drinkers). Even worse is that they act like locals, despite the fact they only drink in the pub once a year. They should be barred.
  13. Barack Obama. He has sparked debate in the US on healthcare and climate change that just wouldn't have been possible before (even Clinton got nowhere on healthcare), and he has improved dialogue between countries across the world, even talking more regularly to China (although he may have put a spanner in that one at Copenhagen). So he has had major influence at home and abroad and on the whole it has been for the good.
  14. I was just to the left of the board as you look at it. Think I remember Darth Vadar being there, as he got on tele all the time, rather than us! Beginning of session managed to squint and look at the actual dart board, but as the alcohol was consumed it was the old neck craning for the screens. In the end I think we gave up trying to watch (mainly because we'd bet on Remco van Eijden to win!). On front row of 2nd section of tables this year, so hopefully much better. However, the Pie Man has gone out and I was looking forward to seeing him again. Also wanted to see Osborne, but Whitlock was on fire last night.
  15. Time to get rid of Trident. No doubt about it.
  16. Seeing as the Tories currently have no answers, I can only assume Cameron will have nothing to say.
  17. That's the doozey. Just one problem: they only open at 12.
  18. There tends to be a correlation between the Council's who are better at bin/recycling collections and the political party which runs them. Amazed to learn that there are still councils on 2-weekly recycling collections. That is pretty poor.
  19. Exactly. Where were they that Monday night in September when there were only 4 of us in the pub? Where were they then, huh? HUH?!
  20. Arizona probably regards the 30th December 1819 with much fondness. Those were the days, eh?
  21. You must have been to the same session as me last year, and I was also right on the front row. Spooky.
  22. He got a snog from some bird dressed as Santa. It was the highlight of the television coverage (presumably because they decided Jenkins swearing at you wasn't appropriate).

    Snow

Temperatures resembling the South of Spain in sunny Bath.
  24. It's an excellent day out, am going next Tuesday having been last year. Intend to get blindingly drunk. You get a free card, but you have to buy a pen (or steal someone elses!). You all get a free 'hat', though!
  25. I did see him making some gestures towards the crowd and wondered if you might have been involved. You weren't the guy dressed as the Christmas tree, then?!
