Because it's the boxing day tradition! Plenty of drinking done arond Xmas anyway. Boxing Day football should be moved back to noon. Used to love getting up, going straight to football and then to pub/family afterwards. Lots of cold turkey of the meaty variety.

Yes. As per the article on the Saints official site it is because Avon & Somerset Police have kindly requested our game be moved, as they need police to deal with Paulton Rovers v Norwich on the Saturday (at 12.45pm). All the info is on the link, which was added to the Saints website last Tuesday. http://www.saintsfc.co.uk/page/NewsDetail/0,,10280~1839078,00.html

Think it might still be 3pm. Much preferred it when Boxing Day was a noon game, but we seem to have gone away from that (as have many other clubs). Yet another reason why football has got worse.

Indeed, about right. Very little, even at the beginning of the 2nd half when we were just 1 down. Disappointing really.
-
Thought the Saints fans were absolute rubbish for most of the game today.

He's done wonders for darts, though!

Why would anyone drive to London? Nightmare! Get the train.
-
Ah, excellent. Hopefully it will be on iplayer and I can watch it when I get home from Orient!

Got my tickets now. Just relying on the post. Go post!
-
Yup. Bring a coat.

Got no option as can't get to Soton from Bath. My pay slip arrived alright yesterday, so fingers crossed! Get yourself on the terrace. Crap view, but it's where all the fun will be had. FACT.

Got mine on the blower.

Boozing somewhere in London. Those who need to know where, know where.

Would recommend you use the train company website direct, rather than Trainline (i.e. http://www.firstgreatwestern.co.uk) You get all the same deals, but don't pay for postage or collection, and there is no debit/credit card fee.

Ha, you're right and all. I mis-read it and thought it was away from home on the 1st. Still, it's such an awkward place to get to (the ground, not the town) maybe we need this thread anyway!
-
We'll be in the FA Cup 3rd round anyway, so this thread is pointless.

Nice trip to Poland in December. Again, anyone been before. Pretty easy to get to on the train and presume there are some pubs about?
-
About time we had a Wycombe thread! (Clearly it isn't.) Has anyone been before? Notoriously difficult to get to I believe. Thoughts?

Drank in a pub on the Gloucester Road last time, can't remember the name but it got rammed and we ended up drinking tins from the petrol station before being moved on by the police horses. Presume Gloucester Road is the best bet again, although Friday night will be interesting. In terms of tickets, no news announced and tomorrow is 8 days before the game. Considering the postal strike, is there a chance this will be buy in person only?
