At the moment the poorest in society pay PROPORTIONATLY more tax than the richest. That just isn't right. Even if the proportion was equal I don't think it would good enough, but as things stand society is biased in favour of the wealthy. It is time for a fair tax system, where the rich pay their fair share (and that includes stopping them finding every loophole they can so diddums doesn't have to pay tax).

It's a shame that people can have such disgustingly selfish attitudes. Unfortunately if the Tories get in the rich will get richer, the poor will suffer and the country will be in a ruinous mess. Still, the selfish (such as colin) will be happy. Also, you clearly don't know anything about socialism, if you think this country has got to some kind of "massively abused extreme". You are quite politically naive, which clearly leads to you thinking the Tories would actually be useful for something. They won't be.
  3. Happens everywhere.
  4. Nope. No young player has ever come from non-league football into the league. Nope. Never ever. Oh. I imagine part of this is convenience, he can still train full time with us, but play some games with Eastleigh.
  5. Steaua. Put wimpy English football fans to shame. "Wah, wah, we need a roof to make noise" - no you don't.
  6. Would have tried to get to that had it not been possible for me to get up to Bishop's Cleeve. Will be an interesting game. Paulton have a decent clubhouse.
  7. In my feedback e-mail to the club, I asked if it would be possible to have adult only, or adult + accompanied kid (after all, it was the number of unaccompanied chavvy kids which was annoying) section for League Cup and JPT games.
  8. Still hoping for a Saints visit to Twerton Park this season!
  9. I am actually thinking of doing pub crawl #2, rather than number 1. We would be wanting to start at 11 of the morning.
  10. I have won. They cheered me.
  11. No, I live in Bath, so will very much be an away fan!
  12. Am going to Bishop's Cleeve v Bath City on Saturday. Can't beat a good FA Cup tie!
  13. The website is good. You can create your own meerkat.
  14. I thought we were doing Cask Ale Trail 1? That only has 5 pubs.
  15. I have e-mailed. I was delighted with the 7pm kick-off time as I could get the last direct train back to Bath. This was excellent news. I have commended them on their wonderful efforts.
  16. What time does it kick-off? I am going up to watch Bishop's Cleeve v Bath City and think I might be struggling to get back to watch it. Watched the NRL final last Sunday morning, which had an exciting ending after a one-sided game!
  17. Swindon away please as it's only 25 minutes down the road! Don't want Northampton as ground is miles from a decent pub. Not been to Hereford, so would take that. Certainly not Norwich away!!
  18. What a stupid post. Only backward Brits still think 4-4-2 is a good formation. Sort your own life out and realise that 4-5-1 (played properly, not as the backward Brits used to play it) is the best formation around.
  19. Live NFL on Christmas Day this year. Only one game though, not two, which is a shame. Will probably play darts at the pub during the day.
  20. We played the whole second half using 4-4-2. Never mind, Arizona. Never mind.
  21. 4-5-1 is superior at every level because of the number of options it offers you. Three in the centre of the park can dominate the midfield, and over-run the 'British two'. Even more importantly, you can get at least 4 going forward every time, with both wide players and a runner from midfield. You instantly bring width with a 5 man midfield, but there are enough runners to get forward and support the striker in the middle when a cross comes in. All the best teams around the world play 4-5-1. The reason our top clubs started getting better in Europe is because the ditched the simpletons 4-4-2 and went for a more sophiscated 4-5-1, which allows more options. The problem the British have with 4-5-1 is because of the way it is traditionally used in this country. It was employed as a defensive formation, leaving the lone striker totally isolated. That's now how it should be played (although you could argue it has some purpose in football), but backward footballing Britain could only do it that way.
  22. Saw the whole game, but had to leave before penalties. It showed that we were missing our three best footballers: Mellis, Lallana and Schneiderlin. The midfield trio in the first half were all far too similar, and I think Gillett got caught out in the numbers game, asked to play an unfamiliar role ahead of other midfielders. Deeply concerned by Chris Perry, who looked awful all night. Thomas not great, but first game back after injury so will let him off a bit. I like 4-5-1, it is clearly the superior formation in football, and it is only thicko Brits that hark on about 4-4-2 all the time, but the balance needs to be right in the middle of the park, and that was what was lacking tonight. Pardew will have learnt a bit more about some fringe players, however, which can only help in the long run.
  23. I like the truck series, some decent racing. He has probably not done that style of racing before, so a year in trucks, then up to the Nationwide Series and then we might see him in the Sprint Cup in 3 or 4 years. Montoya is still in with a great chance of winning the NASCAR Sprint Cup this season, in only his second year.
  24. Pah, it's FA Cup 3rd Round qualifying day. I'm off to Bishop's Cleeve v Bath City.
