Must be a second yellow, he'll just get a match then, might have had 4 yellows already, makes no difference then.
-
Not so much, they may ship a few goals but at the end of the day they come through and score points. We were 15th this morning, we'll be 15th this evening, perhaps a few points closer to Norwich but everybody else got points. What will be a real sickener is if Bristol Rovers get the 6th play-off place instead of us by 3 points (or less) and then we'll really regret throwing away & 2-O lead against them.
-
It's still a tall order, making up 9 points in 25 games, needs some team or other to go into freefall and none of the chasing pack to produce really consistent results. The -10 will do for us in the end, same as it did for Leeds in their first season down, except that they got -15
-
We now have 5 players on 4 cards but there are no suspensions-yet.
-
Only 1 goal for Lallana, thought he had more.
-
Perhaps he should offer his services to England as a penalty coach.
-
Just goes to prove what I was saying, Lambert and Morgan booked;Antonio as principal fouler of the day, lads are trying to get through this one with a minimum of effort and no bookings for the 4 cards already brigade.Must be taking the JPT seriously then, otherwise they'd all be queueing up to get booked.
-
Pardew won't though. That puts Morgan on 4 bookings as well, that makes 5 in all. It was obviously his turn to do the hatchet work today as Hammond,James,Harding and Jaidi can't without getting a ban.
-
Indeed, now is not the time for Negative Nellying.
-
too many players trying not to get booked, it's not only the suspension for 5 yellows that's a pain in the butt but also the decline in natural aggressivity when you're on 4 already.
-
Bart is probably better on corners than KD.
-
Jane Austen doing the commentary again I see.
-
AP obviously doesn't rate Thomas in the position and there's no-one else.
-
We need to score soon, other results (or latest scores) are going are way a bit so 3 points would be just great.
-
He was at Montpellier (or at least a homonym was) perhaps ART knows him.
-
Probably explains the low turnout on the forum today then, that and being dragged to the shops in a distinctly wimpish fashion.
-
Not here, snowing lightly, must be about 0°
-
They've all been dragged down to the shops by either the Mrs or their Mum.
-
Hammond, that makes 4, one more than I thought, which is even worse. If we have a bad tempered game we could end up with 2 or 3 players suspended at once..
-
That's a real pig ,we have 3 players on 4 cards already and now we have to play 5 or 6 games with stand in right back again, including Leeds and Colchester. The squad is big enough but a lot of the "cover" isn't really viable. Personally I'd try to sign an out of contract right back, but looking back at the Mettomo fiasco you'd have to wonder if it would be the right choice.

Strachan is overated in today's game. He's a Timex watch in a digital age. He did a decent job for us but could have done much better with the European outing. He had good players, he also signed some extremely bad ones.He didn't get the best of of some players (like Delgado who he had no time for whatsoever-just out of principal I expect) Kevin Davies was allowed to just waste away under Strachan and he's since proved he had a few good games left in him.
-
I'm sure AP will field his strongest available side anyway. Probably our first look at the new centre half we'll be getting.
-
He scored a lot of goals at wherever he came from though.I'm not even sure he took penalties before he was at Saints, perhaps he wasn't a full back before he came to SFC though.
-
Certainly scored a lot of goals for a full back, couldn't say how many were penalties though.Probably scored about 70 goals in his career, once held the goalscoring record for a full back-which he obtained from a penalty against Utd--I think. Goalkeepers have moved on since then though. At one time there were relatively few penalty saves, now it's about one in 4 or something like that. Not surprising with all these 6ft 6 + keepers with reaction times which would shame Usain Bolt.
-
I reiterate, what would count against him is his complete lack of major international tournament experience.I'm sure you could find some Jimmy from the Commercial House League who's never missed a penalty either, but to pass on his "talents" to an experienced pro who's been there and done that and who's trying to score from 12 yards to put his country in the WC final in front of 100K is something completely different. Zidane only missed 1 penalty in his career, because he slipped in a friendly against China in 2006, but I don't think there's any question about him being given an offical role to tell Thierry Henry how to score from 12 yrds.
