Probably our best side, not that it will be played but on paper that's probably about right.
-
N'Diaye is an out and out striker, why are you all drafting him into midfield to let your favourites (Saga/Lallana) get a game?. He will play at the front with Lambert.
-
Dolly Parton actually.
-
but they had to announce something to ease the disappointment because the 2 or 3 deals just didn't happen-yet.
-
I think whoever it was was talking about the more recent RUMOUR of him going on loan to Boro (eventually).
-
Personally I could pass on Davis for a keeper that's better on crosses and a decent (but not exceptional ) shot stopper.Aerial bombardment and lack of pace at the back was our undoing last season and we've conceded some iffy goals from crosses and set pieces already this season. I think we saw the difference when we had Richard Wright, not knocking Kelvin but he is suspect on crosses.
-
I think Fitzhugh Fella told us otherwise on another thread, and he usuaally "knows".
-
I don't think that's true, some of the players are decent, even outstanding for this level of football, trouble is with the make do and mend we are using because the manager won't play to the strengths of our better players we are drawn back to the level of the lowest common denominator. AP has decided that we're going gung ho Route 1 over the midfield to his shiny new toy and that's it. We all know he needed 2 centre backs and some wide pace but he decided otherwise.

Live Deadline Day Transfer Rumours from Daily Echo
Window Cleaner replied to ruddick's topic in The Saints
Can't see that happening, there are only "emergency loans" for a month renewable possible now aren't there?? Just can't see that being of interest to Saga or Morgan, they will pine away and die (footballing wise). -

Saga and Morgan staying is only positive if we play a style of football that they can adapt to, kick and rush isn't going to suit either of them. They need a patient building football with movement and anticipation around them. -

You are preaching to the converted but I want to see him leave because just now there's no future for him at SFC, he knows that as well and wants to leave (or so I'm told). We have 2 years of struggle before us and by then he'll be overlooked no matter how well he may play. His style is not for us just now. -

what's the point of keeping Morgan when all we do is hoof the ball up to Lambert to knock back for a nippy striker that we haven't got? -

and what move would that be? Perhaps it's for Junior agogo like it says on the BBC madeupbullshîte column. Don't think we'lll get anyone, not now or in the near future. -
Needs to convince them that they want to come here first.
-
Correct, Mr Liebherr wouldn't ever use a cheap biro such as that one.
-
1000 saints fans eh, and yet others are saying that the ref was intimidated by what 3200 or so Stockport fans, must be real baskerville hounds then, and to think that some refs aren't intimidated by 90000 Barca fans insulting them, their mums and about every other close relative.I think a veil of illusion is being drawn over our absolute ineptitude by some happy clappy fans who just can't see that Liebherr hasn't got the job done any more than some unknown punter with a couple of million obtain from a start up enterprise. The bloke at peterborough put up about 8 mill last year, but they got promoted, our guy is supposed to be worth about 2.5 billion yet we've got 3 points from 5 games, even though he's had nigh on 4 million in ST sales and sold players for another 2.9 million.
-
Anyway, Colchester up next Saturday, if they crap all over us Pardew is as good as gone, improvement or no improvement.
-
Well perhaps we could get some tips from Leeds and Charlton..
-
I think we have to look at what Charlton are doing, p*ssing on the opposition like they don't exist, yet WE are struggling against Stockport and Swindon despite having reinforced our squad. This can only mean one thing, Surman,JPS,Skacel and McG are world beaters who kept us above Charlton singlehandedly.Other than that the team is basically the same ,yet they've picked up 15 points so far and we've got just 3.

Our next signing : a decent sports psychologist.
Window Cleaner replied to alpine_saint's topic in The Saints
All international athletes have counselling sessions with sports psychologists actually, no doubt our players do as well. It would surprise me totally if they don't .No doubt the club already has a sports psychology practionnier on call 24/7. You have to understand just how hard it is to be a professional sports person, to push yourself to the limit in training day after day when other f*ckers are out on the p*ss and partying. It's not an easy life, perhaps football is an exception but I very much doubt it. -
Ooh là ART you'll be in trouble with the happy clappies don'tcha know. We got a draw with the mighty Stockport ffs.
-
Quality signings won't come to a club that's going to scrap it's way to safety this season. Liebherr needed to splash the cash the moment he got into the door, appoint a "football man" to run the club not a swiss banker. Got any cash yet Tony ?,bet ML would sell for 15 million in cash.
-
were any 'higher level' clubs actually prepared to part with cash for Lambert? just asking, I'm afraid he may be a one trick pony, probably because I know nothing about him..
-
Perhaps there s no speculation or rumour because there's nothing to speculate about. We aren't exactly flashing the cash just now and we are in all honesty a very poor proposition to any player who is actually worth something. If we were a good side albeit fallen from grace but now on the upward cycle again, well then players would jump at the chance of joining us. We are being run by a swiss banker, have a total of 2 points from 4 games and are on -8,leaving us in League 1 untill at least the 2010/11 seson. We aren't a good prospect and more players want to leave than sign for us. Imagine you're a decent youngish pro, imagine the prospect of playing with Wootton, Perry,Thomas, Lancashire and what have you, you'd say thanks but no thanks wouldn't you.

Schneiderlin wants to Leave / Rasiak
Window Cleaner replied to Channon's Sideburns's topic in The Saints
But Caen, Le Havre and Nantes were all in league 1 last season, any of their players worth a game have probably moved on or are about to do so.
