It's not a reproach of Pardew but he signed Harding (excellent) within days, he's had time to spend a million on lambert, also excellent and yet he's not been able to address our main problem effectively. No doubt he's working on it but until he gets the centre of defence right nothing but nothing he does elsewhere in the side will be significant, we will concede from set pieces and negate whatever good work is done elsewhere on the field. The difference between a grinding 1-0 win and a 1-1 draw because of sloppy defending is paramount.
