Saints vs Plymouth - First Half and Half Time
Window Cleaner replied to Arizona's topic in The Saints
Mr Kipling's were excellent. No picture though. -
Why do you think St Paul was going there, not being a christian wallah at the time he set out and all that. Obviously going for a night out, the rest was coincidence.
-
Well you still have more contact with the place than I do, I only go for the occasional Saint's game, you have family, thought you might know.
-
Stanley has seen the light on the road to Damascus, or Portsmouth but certainly not the road to SMS.
-
Neither is Lancashire , so they can have a game of 28 behind the bike shed to resolve the question.
-
Does it still cost something to clear a cheque in the UK then?
-
But he won't be scoring any today. I guess Luggy worked out that against a young side like ours who are likely to swarm all over you it's best not to have passengers like Mpenza, even if the do score tap ins from time to time.No fool is Luggy.
-
Exactly as predicted Saints: Davis, James, Cork, Perry, Skacel, Surman, Schneiderlin, Lallana, Wright-Phillips, McGoldrick, Robertson. Subs: Forecast, Wotton, Gasmi, Paterson, Pearce. No Mpenza for Plymouth, pity, he's over the hill now, would be like playing against 10 men.

You should say "please refrain from posting here until after the match". Unless of course we go 5-0 down in the first 15 minutes. The match will then be toast and we should feel free to comment on it.Here or anywhere else for that matter;

Because whoever put the article up on Google doesn't know the difference, neither do I for that matter. The cup cakes we always had as kids were flat, iced but flat.

Wayne Thomas of course, not on the list though:smt101 -
Don't forget to get him to give you a note to hand in at the office at the next home game then. The Rupert Haters will be counting you in their number if you don't.

Perhaps he could sell them all our stay away fans for mega-bucks. -

We still got 11.1 million for Walcott, not bad really.Don't think we actually missed out on much. -

Wish you hadn't bothered St Landrew?? -
And we wonder why we can't find a buyer whilst we were losing a mere 1.4 million a month (last season). Football needs to become football again, no PLCs,no supermega stores,no giant debts , no millionaire players,no replica shirts and football team curtains,no women and tiny kids. Just football, like it used to be. A working man's game, played by men for men.Stand up on the terraces, smoke, swear, sing and generally have a good time. If your team wins-so much the better, if not slash the bus seats on the way home , throw your tea at the Mrs and sulk all the following week.

someone bought 1 share today, or sold one to a broker or something. 1 share for 24.5p, symbolism in it's purest form.Either because they want to be part of the Saints Revolution or they're so hacked off they felt the necessity to make this gesture.

£4.9 Million Loss reported/players to be sold
Window Cleaner replied to qwertySFC's topic in The Saints
We've saved a lot to be sure but we need to save even more. As long as the banished don't come back at any time in the near future we might sell just one player in January and loan out one other. If Saga comes back (and I think he will because I think they have a winter break in Denmark of over 3 months, last game 7/12 next game, 1st of March) I can't quite see how we're going to get on. I mean he's been playing a high standard of football with Aalborg but just might not slot into our new system easily (on the other hand he might be perfect in tandem with McG). Whether we can stand taking on his salary again without having to send Skacel or Euell out on loan I just couldn't say. -

In that case there should only be 3 names on the ballot paper. Steve Mills, Mick Mills,Wayne Bridge. The fact that Benali is even an option is an insult to those 3. -
Maybe, I don't know any of them personally. I was thinking more along the lines Investco,Mercury Asset and Roger Everett. I'm not really au fait with the reverse takeover, I mean I know the basics but not exactly who was involved and who was on the outside.I think some people actually bought shares at the flotation price of 150p in the first place.
-
I don't think it's even as cynical as that.Lowe has a dream, British Football played by British Players. He's really tried to get involved with the FA and all that (no doubt for his own political ends) but he really does believe that developing our own players and not exporting bagfulls of cash to the third world is the way forward. Or that's how I see his take on it anyway.
-
Well not really. The best dividend we've had in recent times was 5.60p back in 2003 or 4. If you've a million shares which probably cost you 700K at least you get 56000£. The interest on 700K invested even at high street rates at that time would come to about 35000£. Since then there's been bugger all, maybe 0.5p in 2005. so instead of receiving good interest which would be quasi automatic on a high st deposit or even better offshore, you're getting nothing for the last 4 years or so and your investment is now worth diddly squat. Saints won't turn a profit for at least another 3 years so counting on dividends is a waste of time.

Mills isn't in the squad (according to the OS) So Pearce for Mills then. Makes sense, if Pearce needs to come on Cork will go to RB and Pearce will slot into CD. I fancy a 3-1 for Saints, I would say 3-0 but that's unwise; Robertson, Gasmi McG in that order.

Woodward - Rupey's next 'Cost Effective' Addition?
Window Cleaner replied to Channon's Sideburns's topic in The Saints
Woodward already has a job until 2012, after that he's already said he thinks he has one big coaching job left in him.
