  1. We sold them a crock, they sold us a crock, only difference ? We got over million quid for ours and they didn't.
  2. Strange that it all started when he got a betting tip from Fulthorpe at Doncaster though isn't it. Won 1200£ or so from that and has been giving the forum gyp ever since.
  3. It's their version of help the poor.Arsenal, the Robin Hood of modern football.
  4. I quite like it, less flashy (apart from the betting adds that is).
  5. What press conference ???
  6. Can't be an Asus motherboard then, they don't usually have too many problems with those.
  7. Too old, he's the present,or not, depends on how you look at it. Think he's 21 next year, that's an old age pensioner nowadays. Same age as Fabregas I think.
  8. Because "Killer" is the last remaining link to the relatively glorious recent past. Schneirderlin is a young player who many, wrongly in my H.O, don't rate at all, he's just one of a band of useless kids for many, Killer on the other hand.....now there's a player (or was). It's all "bicycle" as my youngest niece would say.
  9. Motherboards are fairly easy to change though, try to get a free repair first but if not just order a replacement board and shove it in (well it's a bit more complicated than that but if you can handle,Lego, Meccano or Paint by Numbers you should be able to master it). My daughter has a Compaq (HP made) and I'm sure it was sold with at least a 24 month guarantee, don't think 12 month guarantees are legal in France though. Yoyu could always trawl the net though and see if there are any "known defaults" with that type of machine. If that's the case the shop will know about it and repair it for free.
  10. Did he actually get an ongoing contract? I thought he was on "pay as you play". Hope we're not wasting too much money on him then.
  11. Surman can probably do better than Stoke. Stoke however may be determined to shaft us for selling them that dud Davies. Smart piece of business that, make it look as if you want to keep him and then grudgingly let him move on for a small profit. That knee was always wrong, we fell for it, looks like they have as well.
  12. Agreed, but I just can't see any point of counting on him any more. Enough is Enough, let him retire gracefully.
  13. Next week it will be, No not quite right yet, I'll be good for Boxing Day though; He is finished, we need to move on and stop living in cloud cuckoo land as far as he's concerned.
  14. Football transfers are going to take a nose dive. We should have taken every last penny on offer in August , we'll probably still sell the same players in January but for half the price.
  15. Correct, they'll never know. Just run up an invoice from some registered gas fitter that has gone bust or done a runner with the cash box and bob's your uncle.
  16. Those towers are all in a remarkable straight line, one well directed 747 launched at maximum speed ,would probably take out 3/4 of them. Just thinking aloud.
  17. Waterside Taekwondo, bloke called Colin Graves, used to post on the old forum, certainly does on this one under a different name. Here we go:http://www.watersidetaekwondoclub.co.uk/Club%20Instructor.htm Now his wife worked for an estate agent and he used to post up hot tips about players selling houses before moving on.
  18. Wenger had to take a job in Japan after leaving Monaco, not up to the job according to some.
  19. I see Skate have just appointed a Dutchman to the role of "first team coach". Jan will be able to go down there for a **** up and see if they've got any cheap rubbish they can let us have. Dutch coaches= Way to go (just until the fashion changes) Lowe is a visionary , I mean if Skate have one, well then we had one first.
  20. We have one, been fitted about 3 years works fine. But then nobody ever turns the knobs, just on the 38 degree setting with the little red button, that blocks it from going higher without pressing the button. Don't know anything about calibrating it though, our motto, "if it ain't broke, don't fix it". We got it from Castorama, which is part of the Kingfisher group I think, cost about 300 euros and it's fitted to an electric water tank as we're all electric apart from wood fires.
  21. He probably wasn't even in the US, I think he was doing something with a film he made at the Cannes festival at the time.He "knew" even if he didn't KNOW. Said he wasn't interested, that's all.
  22. A little bird told me Vulcan were swamped with mails and even middle of the night calls asking for details and news of when PA was going to take over the club. Kids, grannies, idiots, everyone was pestering them night and day for a fair old while. They got ****ed off. You'll have to take my word for it though,or not as you choose makes no difference now. Why I bet at least one poster on this forum actually rang them, if not several, Anyone care to own up to that ???? It got to the stage where some Vulcan execs were getting calls at home about it.
  23. Best not, he got mightily ****ed off with all the juvenile mails last time.
  24. Can't remember how much they offered on "Take your Pick". Only the Yes/No interlude and the awfulness of the booby prizes. Think you sometimes got a Morris Minor and sometimes a tin of Baked Beans. You just have to make your mind up if he's the Morris or the Heinz 57 or whether it's best to take the 1.5 million that Michael Miles is offering and let some other b*stard find out.
  25. Ah yes, Holmes can stay, if he gets fit soon enough. For the other guy, I'll take the money rather than open the box.
