  1. Ticket sites like gigabillet have a fair few for sale, rip off prices of course but if you're willing to put up 150£ or so you'll have no problem getting a ticket for the "minor" matches.
  2. But that's just it, most (or all?) of the excellent players that we've developped in the recent past either came to the club at very young ages or were already good 18-21 year olds. Those that we sign at 15-18 just don't seem to make the grade at all and end up in the lower leagues. Who was the last player that signed as a 15-18 prospect who made the grade with the club in the PL? Not Lallana,JWP,Shaw or Chambers. They were already here aged 10 and 11, even younger for Shaw and Chambers.
  3. Who cares, he'll be at Eastleigh before you know it.
  4. At the time of the adoption of the Mastricht treaty which is the base of today's EU the French voted 51.04% to 48.96% with over 3 % of the total vote being void or spoiled papers. It is still widely held that if some of the "spoiled papers" had just voted No instead of scrawling the equivalent of fùck off you commie bastard on their bulletin then the vote would have been No. Mitterand had made this his battle horse and No was an unacceptable outcome. I expect you in the UK may well see the same sort of result.
  5. Sounds like Vlad fancies the job himself then.
  6. Because they had to give us a considerable sum of money before anything really progressed. Not the case with Pellegrini, unless he has to stay until some set hour on the 30th June to get whatever they're paying him for activating the opt out clause for the final year of his contract.
  7. That's obviously what the exit polls they've arranged are telling them, yes. For the time being anyway.
  8. Pound creeping up, first exit polls (which of course don't exist )must be looking good for the Remain camp..
  9. So then France-Eire, grudge match , might be good to watch. Koscielny and Rami aren't the fastest beings on the planet and Long may have another good day. Didn't he get 2 against the Arse when we thumped them around last new year ?
  10. More like 7 million, unless of course you're adjusting for the non-British residents of our fair isle.
  11. I'm somewhat confused here. I thought that Pellegrini's contract was extended until 2017 last summer. So in fact City have terminated it early so he's been sort of sacked, mutual agreement at best.. When you've been terminated then you can seek employment elsewhere even if you're working out some sort of agreed notice period.
  12. He's signed somewhere or other, Mendy that is, ah yes Leicester I think, so getting Puel or not won't make any difference now.
  13. It's Pap, Bearsy, Bletch and Dubai Phil.
  14. Not just you, I asked yesterday why the site was meltdown slow, didn't get a reply though. Just presumed it's because there are loads of freebooters F5 ing all of the time concerning the manager.
  15. Original post has gone missing it would seem, how strange. Anyway may well be Fofana, think he's on the move, a replacement for Wanyama eventually.
  16. Apparently you'll all be that broke if a Brexit happens that football will be the least of your worries anyway.
  17. But IIRC this happened with Koeman as well. KB told us that he was getting the job on a Friday afternoon but all week-end you could still back him, albeit at poor odds, until he was announced by the club on Monday (or was it Tuesday)
  18. Well according to L'Equipe he turned us down because he didn't want Sammy Lee or the others we tried to impose on him and there weren't enough transfer funds on offer. CL had nothing to do with it, he knew we weren't CL when he applied for the job..or rather his agent did.
  19. Up to them to qualify to be part of the 16. No time for mini international teams myself. Wales might have qualified anyway. In fact didn't Northern Ireland win their group ? Wales were second I know. .
  20. 16 teams is by far enough, too many no-hopers in this tournament, not to mention it dragging on for a month thus putting players who participate in the later stages beyond the start of pre-season with their clubs. I hope UEFA are giving out big chunks of money to clubs who are suffering from this waste of time. I mean look at the Ukraine and Russia, they have brought nothing positive to the tournament except a couple of extra games providing paydays for UEFA. NB Why is the forum so slow at times ? I mean it's like meltdown slow on occasions.
  21. 2 year job, perfect for a manager who's looking for a last big pay day before retiring really. If Pellegrini doesn't take it then Hiddink or Van Gaal probably will.
  22. Everyone remembers the top corner screamers, most have difficulty in recalling the 8 or 9 others that went high, wide or tamely to the keeper for each of those.
  23. 10 million or 40 million with 2 months ineligibilty every 2 years is more the question. Liverpool aren't in Europe next season so 40 million is probably too much for them.
  24. We'll see, making up crap transfer stories is not exclusive to the English you know. I'd have thought pelle wanted to go to Italy.
