Absolutely, Stoke seem to have adopted Red and White stripes for the 1907 season whereas we were playing in Red and White stripes for the 1902 cup final. In the first match we were red and white with blue shorts and Sheff U were in White shirts. For the replay the kits were seemingly just the other way round. Perhaps it was we who loaned Stoke the red and white.

I expect transfer transactions will start getting cranked up from next week onwards. We're roughly half way through the summer break and most involved will be done with their holidays. Internationals will be finished apart from in South America and business will be got on with. You only have to look at the crap being peddled on myriads of transfer news sites to see that just now nothing much is really happening.

In fact someone should invent time travel so that all these weenies could go back and learn how to live without mobile communication. I mean who really needs to watch Coronation St whilst walking up Above Bar. If you wanted to see the footy results you just had to look in Dixon's window at the appropriate hour. It was once a widely held theory that the Russians would never be much good in battle because they needed constant instructions on what to do next, I shudder to think where we are on that nowadays.

What on earth would Chelsea want with Charlie Austin ? They've got Costa and Remy are are running after Falcao, exactly why they're doing that I just couldn't say though, so Austin...well forget it. It's agent bolloax to try to screw a couple more quid out of some poor team.

Nowhere near as good on the defensive tasks really, Cabaye is a bit of an in-between player who's fading fast. He's a bit of a fragile flower as well.

Ah I don't know about that, I've seen figures showing that their wage bill was about 24 million £ higher than ours for the 2013/14 season. That would suggest to me that virtually every player that they have gets more than his equivalent at Saints.

At the end of the day with Morgan it may well come down to who we're prepared to accept in part exchange from Utd. They still want him but are thinking over the fee.......apparently.

Doubt if he wants to take a pay cut though.

One thing's for sure with a green away kit you're never going to need a third kit.....red,blue,yellow,white,black..plenty of that about but green solves all of the eventual problems. It's not bad...different though.
