Not naughty, just thick and uneducated...and him a regular churchgoer to boot.

3 down now, Vince out cheaply again of course. Something is rotten in the state of Hampshire. Surely a second resounding 4-day defeat in a row will see the bag seriously shaken.

Nathaniel Clyne Joins Liverpool - Official

Van Gaal does not control the transfers at Man U, he may (or may not) have wanted the player but he doesn't make the offers or sign the bank transfers; Utd are obviously being chippy about money just now because they've signed nobody apart from Depay and dutch clubs seem to be a pushover on money. They want everybody for peanuts and we're obviously not going to be pushed around. Van Gaal should take it up with Woodward. -
then there should be far more takers than there seem to be, good CBs for not so much are few and far between.
-
Can't see Atletico selling him to anyone until they get a CB in, Miranda already having been sold to Inter for not a great deal of money.
-
Jeez, were those inner city slums only 45 years ago
-
I see that Miranda has signed on loan for the season at Inter, that's not good news for Toby followers really.
-
as I said yesterday Gueye probably is about Jack Cork level, might have been a target as a number 3 DM but not much more. Perhaps we'll get that Polish bloke.

Random Ex- Academy Player Transfer News no-one will care about...

Sort of club we should have loaned him to 2 years ago, same as Gazza. -
Not the deal at all, unless they sell him to us for the original price they owe us whatever sum it is, could be deducted from the transfer fee I suppose. We took on a salary way beyond our usual level, the extra payment was a sweetner to allow us to do that.
-
We were never going to do that because clubs...well don't do that with expensive players. Most would have just banged their heads together and told them to get along but well we panicked and tried to offload a major salary at the same time.
-
Could have done that last season though couldn't he ? Gaston's agent said Koeman didn't want him around..how true that is who knows.
-
Not even 7 including adds on if you believe L'Equipe...guess we didn't want him after all. If we did it would have be signed and sealed long ago if 7 million was all it took.
-
More money, less waiting, what's not to like ? The player's father gets involved as well I think. As I said the other day, if it's got anything to do with the OM best leave it be.
-
Didn't read post 48 then...
-
so how does that exclude Tottenham, he's said himself that he wouldn't mind playing with Vertonghen again. If they bid more than us he'll go there I expect.

From L'Equipe this morning. Basically this says that the OM are interested in Gueye, Marseille and Lille have had discussions, 9 million € all in including add ons and the player is interested in the OM "project". 9 million€ isn't a lot of money really, surely we've bid more than that.

Not really, they'll just have to apply for residence permits again, same as we all did before about 1990. Plenty of non-EU nationals live all over Europe, it's just a couple of bits of paperwork more. As it is any EU country can still expel any EU citizen (except their own) if they do not possess enough for subsistance and have been there for less than 5 years..

Why don't we sign players on longer contracts?
Window Cleaner replied to stevy777_x's topic in The Saints
I thought 5 years was the maximum length for a "CDD" for footballers in the UK -
Isn't Blind the appointed heir...they have that sort of system I think.
-
Well logically Madrid, that's where he's employed at this moment in time. When they report back I guess he'll have to be there unless he's sold in the meantime. If not he's in breach of contract...

25 man squad is OK but 8 HG in it is just nonsense because it's obviously not working. A club involved in Europe can have 1 set of players for the PL and a different set for Europe. Big clubs will continue to buy up all of the better players anyway, HG or not HG. We probably won't even have 8 HG senior players next season either if we carry on going the way we're going.
-
Because the non-HG is 25-8 but the HG doesn't need to be 8. 20 players is quite enough anyway when complemented by young players who can easily actually be 22 rather than U21. Totally useless rule as all the top clubs don't have 8 HG players anyway.
