  1. Never mind Wotton, Ryan Harley was supposed to be better and also a ginger haired rat playing for Milton Keynes.
  2. Cheap and sells shirts and package tours...what's not to like. Old rumour though, been kicking about since last Tuesday. Arsenal are interested in wait for it...about half a billion £s worth of players at this time, every hack and agent uses them to fill space and promote interest.
  3. Well that's Marseille for you, it's not just on football days either, totally lawless place most of the time, ne'er a week goes by without a couple of gangland shootings in the "quartiers".
  4. Isn't Prince Ali the VP of the Asian federation, you'd think his own people would vote for him wouldn't you. I was kind of surprised that he only got 73 votes actually what with the scandal and all.
  5. No he's signed at Bournemouth, he was out of contract at Saints.
  6. Tbf Bertrand was probably always a better player than Shaw, the instability of his situation probably did him no favours with the National set-up, a few games here, a few games there. Shaw is no great shakes and we did fantastically well to persuade Utd that he is. Then again our football last season was very persuasive, more so than this season I think, just because of it's fluency and spectacular value.
  7. Then why did so few vote for him ?
  8. Indeed they did, then again Prince Ali wasn't any sort of alternative really, I mean a Jordanian prince in charge of world football....Even Blatter was probably the better choice.
  9. Platini says that UEFA will decide what's to be done at their meeting on 6th June, day of the CL final. Some member federations have apparently asked that UEFA quits FIFA. Don't know if there'll be a vote on it though, probably just discussions which will no doubt end up with the status quo being maintained.
  10. Or a FM afficionado who has difficulty in separating the real and the virtuel. Yep must be that, he was telling us were prepared to bid 4 million for Ntep last evening. 4 million would be an insult to the player and to Rennes not to mention the intelligence of the common football fan.
  11. While we're on french players, we should have a look at Alfonse Areola, keeper who belongs to PSG but who they loan out every season. Now he could do a job for us whilst we wait for Frazer to get back to fitness. U20 world cup winner as well.
  12. Certainly is...thought he was sort of odds on to sign at Liverpool actually, been seen there a few times already.
  13. Believe it when I see it in the Sun, thought he would have been down at the Parc to support his old Auxerre team mates actually. Especially as he has to be at Clairefontaine on Monday morning. By the By it's Paul-George Ntep not Paul Ntep.
  14. Sounds like the usual scenario with Saints outgoings actually, "We did our bestest to keep him but he wanted more money so we let him go." Thanks for all the money though. No great loss, not a key player who can't be replaced for less.
  15. Similar though, Lens are absolutely crap, sort of Pompey in their terminal stages situation, owned by a Kazakh who promised them loads of money and then didn't give it to them. Sounds familiar eh.
  16. Gueye is nothing like Sissoko anyway, don't know where that idea comes from. Sissoko is a big athletic bloke...Gueye...well isn't. He's quite small and lightweight. Not Clasie small but not Sissoko big either.
  17. Just the one, it's the cup final.
  18. Democracy...that's how it happens. Promise enough to fools and they'll vote for you. You can be dishonest as you like but the greed of simpletons will always get you where you want to go. No person with an IQ of less than say 90 should be allowed to vote for anything important.
  19. Think Villa and Arsenal have about equal chances of winning the Cup actually. It's an occasion where form and pedigree often go out of the window.
  20. But would he qualify for a work permit if the rules have changed (or been applied)? He's played for Senegal to be sure but whether he's a 70% man I'm not so sure.
  21. Not with just a year left on his contract, it's take whatever is on offer come 1st September or get the player to sign a new contract, there are probably no other options as we won't want to see him leave for nothing next June. After the 3rd of Sept Clyne moves into the drivers seat because he has all the good options and we'll have none.
  22. Suarez,Sturridge and 16 penalties carried them for a season, one man lost it for them. When they get rid of him they'll be so much the better for it.
  23. Probably not pretty enough for that. Don't we only have attractive young ladies selling programmes nowadays?
  24. Ah I don't know there, top 4 UK clubs all have non UK managers and some of those may not really appreciate the qualities of Clyne, as I said many times concerning Shaw last summer, there's probably better available for less if you know where to look for it. As a rule UK footballers are often vastly overated and usually vastly overpriced.
