Point of what, perhaps the FA should instigate a remedial year for all managers dismissed by their previous clubs who've descended from the PL. He no doubt got a settlement from Cardiff, now as likely as not he'll get another one from Wigan, money for old rope really.
-
That would surely involve someone wanting to take them off of our hands and meeting the PL salaries which they are no doubt drawing. Look at the problem we had getting shot of Forecast.
-
So basically it's proposed that we go on bended knee to the PL and try to explain that although we've 4 over 21 keepers on our books who are included on our PL squads 3 of them are utter crap although they've already played PL football and we need another one from a PL club to last the 7 remaining games of the season. They'll tell us to firk right off and that we should have resolved the problem at the appropriate time and not when our No1 keeper gets injured. #notalegtostandon

Bournemouth's ground looks too small for PL football, are there no restrictions on that imposed by the PL ? They'd be better off playing their home games at SMS really. Not that I'd think we'd be offering mind you.
-
Ah a Kermorgant penalty, pity he's pushing on, might have been able to do a job for us if he was a few years younger.
-
But that's not scouting in the A league now is it. Luongo had a spell at Spurs I think.
-
Bournemouth's automatic promotion hopes taking a hit right now. Edit: level now with a couple of scrappy looking goals, still they all count.
-
Youth players from Oz can get a year's permit, others need a full whack WP I think and with the FA clamping down that might not be so easy in future.
-
In fact the PL might even require us to explain why we waste their money on paying 3 unusable keepers:blush: Newcastle had keeper crisis earlier on in the season and they used their 3rd or 4th choice keeper, no doubt we'll be told to do the same.

Bournemouth Saint was a good enough poster, then he seemed to have some sort of event on the road to Damascus so to speak. Barclays man IIRC, turned up in Dubai once.
-
So we don't have much confidence in Davis,Gazzaniga or Cropper then ??? Got to be a smack in the face with a wet fish for all of them then.
-
No idea but it seems to be an established fact that Bournemouth had to cut their share to get the deal done so we would then seem to have had a valuation for the player less their share. They eventually only got 3.6 million or something similar which is far less than their contractual share of a 20 million + transfer fee.
-
Glasgow was some sort of banker, a jarhead is a US Marine...semper fi and all that.
-
Unlikely if not impossible.
-
We'd have probably let Lallana go for less if there wasn't the Bournemouth cream off. We got 52 million for Lallana,Chambers and Lovren, probably something like 20 12 and 20 then.
-
Independently of the rest I really, really doubt that we'll get more than 20 million for Morgan, there are other DMs available for free or bargain basement prices and the number of possible destinations for him is limited . I only see Arsenal which I doubt happening and the AS Rome as definite possibilities because I just don't believe that many other top clubs (ie CL clubs) will be interested in him to the extent of paying the 25 million £ (or 33.5 million euros) that you believe to be the "just prix". Could well still be here next season actually if we were determined to obtain 25 million.

Jack often being a diminutive of both James and John IIRC.
-
Had a great game, seems to rise to the bigger occasions. Cannot possibly be any worse that Djuricic or Elia, probably far more expensive though. I liked the look of Djuricic against Liverpool as well, too lightweight of course but did some enterprising things, seems to have fallen out of favour in a short time though.

It's not about needing a 15 goal a season striker per se, it's more about needing a striker who can score goals when you need them against good sides. Pellè's goals have brought us about 2 points I think someone said it was, Kane's goals have brought Spurs 22 points or something like that. Pellè's goalscoring record is against poor sides in the main, Newcastle 2, Sunderland 2 when they'd already managed to score against themselves etc. He's scored a limited number of goals but when it counts he provides absolutely fark all. What we need is the bloke who's going to score when we're O-O against Arsenal at 85 minutes and against West Brom when they're parking the bus because a couple of goals against a shîte Sunderland side mean very little. You don't need to only consider the number of goals but the value of them as well.
-
He'll go to Liverpool, they need him and it's near enough where he wants to be. Out of contract so no transfer fee, win win situation for everybody concerned, except the deluded here of course who believe that because he's from Totton or Netley or wherever it is he wants to play for us. We turned him down once, aged about 12 no doubt and that's all he needs to know, plus we probably don't pay enough to get his sort of quality for nowt..
-
We might make 5th instead of 7th, don't really see the difference myself except that we play some Moldovian minnows in July instead of Basingstoke. Top 4 was within our grasp, we needed a striker in January and ducked out of it that's all.
-
Might mean that they end up on the plus side of the ledger with his N years contract.
-
Depends if you see best of the rest as a decent place or not I suppose. We've been disappointing (in a relative sort of way) since december now, 26 points from our first 12 games and 27 from the 19 since. Could have been so much better really. We've proven all those knob journalists and pundits correct, we didn't last the pace in the rarified atmospheres.
-
We can't make top 4 now and unless there's an upset in the Cup Europe is a gimme so we'll scrap it out with Liverpool and Tottenham for the 5th 6th and 7th places, those leaving will start to switch off and there'll be more results like yesterday I expect. Poor end to an exciting season, we got it wrong in January and now it's all downhill to the beaches.
-
Why not, season is effectively over anyway.
