  1. I don't know, just saw him play a few times for Grenoble and the French Unders sides, since then he's gone native with Algeria. Stats aren't great but they're just that, stats. Wait and see really gift horse mouth looking into an all that.
  2. Don't know about Inter, he was OK at Grenoble, not a world beater though. Anyway if it takes Osvaldo out of the equation it can't be bad. Thought we wanted to cash in on him though, Inter probably not having that and there are few other avenues possible.
  3. think we need to wait until the opposition have some bearing on the way we play to decide what's what and who's where actually. the games so far are far too easy to judge anything at all. Which is why it was kind of good that we played sides like Sociedad and Besiktas last year.
  4. so we should but I fear we will not be alone in solliciting his services.
  5. Weren't Spurs interested in him at one time, they'd pay 8 even if it was only to p*ss us off.
  6. at which sum he becomes more valuable to Villa than the price they'd get for him. Not many reasonable CBs out there just now and there are a lot of takers.
  7. Why would there be an announcement today, rather than say yesterday or tomorrow. It's as plain as the nose on your face that we are haggling over the last halfpenny, probably on fees and salaries. Clubs will sell to us when they have no hope of getting more elsewhere, might be today or next week or next Christmas.
  8. Indeed but that's not what he said, they've obviously discussed it with him before acting in those 2 cases but to say that he'd assessed the squad and decided 5 players could be sold just isn't in line with his declarations. Now me, I think he threw a stroppy when Chambers went and gave them (the board) an ultimatum, hence Krusty's press comments. At this moment in time, what 18 days before ouy first PL game of the season, the side is desperately short and players don't seem to be falling over themselves to correct that situation. Say Clyne gets injured, he's a bit prone to it at times, who plays RB then, another sprog from the academy, no manager worth his dime would accept going into a campaign like that.
  9. If he even plays that is, wouldn't count on it.
  10. Knocked them down a bit then, 30 was being bandied about this morning.
  11. In fact I found a tribal football article linking us to him when MP was still manager, estimated a fee of about 5 million £ in that.
  12. Perhaps but Feyenoord have lost a couple of players this summer already, normal that they sign a few replacements. Anyway if we sign Taider we don't need any more wide players, Tadic is wide man i think, or at least he was against Bournemouth.
  13. Haven't we been linked to Taider before, couple of years back perhaps.
  14. Except that Marcelle is normally a woman's name, feminine equivalent of Marcel really.
  15. Do you not read....Koeman in his interview about 2 weeks back stated that he was told in his first meeting with Reed that Lallana,Lambert and Shaw would be sold, he had no input whatsover in that. The he states that he wants to keep all of the remaining players but at the end of the day it's up to the board, this at the time when Lovren was the subject of conversation. It is quite clear that no matter what he wants the players have been sold.
  16. IIRC we were desperate to get him signed so may well have accepted odd clauses for a young player. Anyway we got a shedload for a player who, let us say, isn't the highest up my "next planetary star player" list. I think he's weak defensively and rushes into bad balls when going forward. Now he'll probably be a handy player when he polishes that out of his game but it won't be tomorrow or next week, probably not even this season.
  17. Of his opinions I know nothing, of the correction of what he states I've never seen anything to doubt him. Here he states some events which have occurred, why would he do that if they didn't. He never has before, in fact it's rare that he expresses an opinion at all. The fact that Romain Molina echos what he has said just tells me that it's 100% what has come to pass. The rest is opinion of course.
  18. unsurprising, he signed his contract last summer after the occasion where Cortese considered leaving, lack of investment plans being given as the cause. A decent agent for a young player would probably preempt any change of road map in the clubs plans with a release clause for the player.
  19. Around midday today Morgans agents were at St Mary's expecting to find out and discuss which bid had been accepted by the club for him. you can imagine his surprise at the statements made by our chairman a few hours later. He has been lied to by the club and promises that were made to him and have now been broken. IMO i still think he we go (has a club ever kept a player who didnt wish to stay?), and the worst possible thing Krueger could have said. Are we now gonna have a player go on strike? i personally think its best we let any who don't want to be here go. The club are scared after the fans reaction to the Chambers sale and are now trying to placate the fans by blocking Morgans promised transfer. post 455 of the tweet thread KBillyetc, never wrong, never queried.
  20. Ah right, so in fact his not speaking with Spurs about transfers of Morgan and JRod is location selective. True I didn't bother to listen in, just read the reports on the interview. Still I suppose that having spoken to spurs about transfers of those 2 could just include nothing doing, given that someone was in fact telling us that MP agreed to a non-poaching for a year clause. However in that case why would it even need to be spoken about at all.
  21. As long as the injury has been correctly repaired it will be of no handicap to him. Think he's progressed pretty well and is already back in light training.
  22. Still think that the transfer fee that we got for him was a fantastic job by someone or other. He will prove to the watching world in the near future that he isn't worth it. Our boards best action to date, unless of course the fee was written into his contract as was suggested earlier on, in that case good job whoever did that.
  23. at the end of the day if he was promised the move as long as someone came up with an acceptable sum of readies which may even have been defined in advance and then the rug was pulled out from under it because of the mass exodus then the player has every right to be miffed. If he can prove that it was a given that he could go then it may even come down to the law courts, proof would probably be hard to find though.
  24. did he not say he hadn't spoken to them about transfers..
  25. Ah right, no visas for headless bodies then, makes sense.
