  1. I did in fact seee him in an Unders International earlier this summer
  2. Depends if you believe that Targett is good enough yet for the PL; I personally don't.Schneiderlin will be sold so will Lovren..
  3. No he didn't, come on now DD, no need to make stuff up. He replied "quite possibly" to a being sold question concerning either or both of Lovren and Clyne.
  4. Lovren and Schneiderlin, one can accept that, Clyne..not so much, especially if he goes to Stoke or Palarse or something. Still we have Chambers and no doubt another academy hotshot for the position. Still could be worse, I read today that Blackpool only have 8 players or something. Perhaps we could entice them to buy some of our crap.
  5. You should know by now DD that facts are unacceptable on this forum if they point out anything untoward. As John Major said, it's no point good waving your arms about and living in Dumbdisneyland, these are the facts.
  6. Does that balance out Guly leaving even. All I know is that since the new team have been in place we have sold or let go Fox,Guly,Shaw,Lambert and Lallana, Osvaldo is nowhere to be seen, plus we have our best striker from last season on long term injury and we've signed 2 unknowns from Holland. They might prove to be great players for us but right now we're short at least one left back, probably 2 and have not strengthened the squad in any other position. We have a bit less than a month before we turn out at Anfield so time is now of the essence because frankly we are seriously short of a starting XI.
  7. remind me how many first team regulars we sold for shedloads of cash in those close seasons.
  8. Think so yes. Apparently his salarial demands were beyond our means, or so it was said here yesterday. Can't be right can it ? Not that we need a right back anyway.
  9. I don't know then, I see Steve saying that "we want 25 million" I presumed that was up to date gen, who knows where we stand on anything just now. Manager says no more sales, to me that's it full stop end of the line. No price tags, no come and get mes, nada, nix nothing. If we now sell players at whatever price we will have undermined the manager.
  10. But you'd agree that with the manager saying no more sales there should be no price tags whatsoever. I think Lovren will leave, Morgan as well, these are nailed on sales but they are going directly contrary to the managers pep talk last friday.
  11. but soft, is this an Essex hari-kiri that I see before me ? 29/4, perhaps the pitch is awful or something. Still with only a few to get and a lot of overs to get them I'd not get my hopes up too much just yet. Still Briggs 3/14, perhaps the pitch is turning wicked.
  12. So if that's correct it's not really about not selling any more players it's about getting the maximum amount of money for them then. If we set price tags, even at 25 million, then we say pay up or shut up rather than not for sale. Koeman said no more sales and yet we've put a price tag on one if anyone cares to pay it.
  13. Nope they didn't get a grip and were all out for 171 leaving Essex needing just 133 to win in 4 hours or so. We are throwing our season away with ridiculous batting and the usual nondescript bowling.
  14. And he still gets constant free trips to Uruguay to boot. Way to go Gaston. Personally I think he could do well for us given the right players around him but basically if he wants to save his career he needs to go back to Italy of Spain.
  15. Bunch of taffeta dancers are they ?
  16. Best player our academy has ever produced dontcha know.
  17. What with all those fantastic academy products we have to people the side ? Might as well sell off all the old duffers who are full internationals on tidy salaries and replace them with academy products and unknowns from the Dutch league.
  18. Why would that be then?
  19. we shall see, 2 out of 3 would be good for Tottenham already, 1 out of 3 is almost certain.
  20. Well yes, it was already known yesterday that Allegri would get the job, pity the Ugly didn't know that and start spreading ridiculous speculation.
  21. Perhaps as it's just a preseason friendly you don't need "allocations" and what have yous. JUst turn up,pay and watch the game, as it should be.
  22. Oh FFS Hampshire get a grip, we've crumbled from 83/1 overnight to 120/5 and are now staring defeat in the face if we can't stop the rot. Defeat will leave us just 5 points above Surrey in the table and on a sh*tty roll of form.
  23. Rivière as well now I think, not a bad price,about 7.5 million £.
  24. In fact we should be glad in that case, we got a packet of cash for a duffer (yeah right). A packet of cash which we will no doubt get round to spending sooner or later. Actual count up until now, in 62 million, out 21 million, don't even need to think about the intitial warchest of 35 million which has been alluded to. It's a pity that if we're so good at selling duffers for shedloads of cash we still have Mayuka,Osvaldo and Sharp but to mention 3 hanging about drawing their monthly stipend.
  25. It's all just sour grapes anyway. wait until they stuff us on opening weekend, there will be even more bile and vitriol. At the end of the day you just have to accept that we didn't have enough ambition to keep the player. I noticed that Koeman said that he was told that Lambert,Shaw and Lallana would be sold before he had any say on it at all.
