The world cup squad is just the problem, they all have world cup itis. The WC always peturbs a lot of players, especially peripheral candidates.

Would You Care If Pochettino Left Tommorow?
Window Cleaner replied to Pastor Patrón's topic in The Saints
Still can't understand why some think that the fact that he's not in contract negociations is a big deal. His current contract takes him up until June 2015 so what's the rush. Who do you think would be negociating with him, the owner ? yes, she looked really interested in the game this afternoon. When we get a CEO then things might move on a bit, for the time being everything is vague. -
I don't know, other clubs seem to manage to handle training ground bust ups fairly well, I mean they're a more common occurence than you'd think. Bit of a fine, bang heads together but you just don't ship the culprit out for nothing and cut off your nose to spite your face. I mean there's no guarantee that Juventus will buy him so then the problem would have just been put in abeyance for a while.

We couldn't do that though could we, the owner had talked us into a corner.
-
We don't need a plan B, we need to convert some of the chances we create with Plan A, it's often the same story these days. We need a striker who is better than Lambert, that is our problem. We had one but we gave him away for the rest of the season.
-
Anyway Adam didn't need to pull the West Ham player back by his shorts, Gaston had already picked up the ball and it was a silly thing to do, stopped us moving forward.
-
Poor finishing, poor defending, other than that we were fairly marvellous. Thought the 2 full backs had very poor defensive games. Too many already planning their world cup campaigns I think. Blue line and so on to next week.

I hope Arsenal don't let you down then, can't ever trust them when things start to go wrong. Ozîl out of form or burnt out by the intensity of PL football, Giroud with his BJ problems, porous midfield, wouldn't put them down as a win banker, not against Sunderland.

Well apparently it's situated on (or near) the site of the old Boleyn Castle, named as such because Anne Boleyn hung out there sometimes. I thought it was a sponsors name, I was wrong.

Well yes,Possible (or rumoured) Summer Transfers, I don't rate Hunt or German players in general, that's my opinion as is being aired here.

Mopo "We are targeting the Europa League"
Window Cleaner replied to Glasgow_Saint's topic in The Saints
Can't quite see where that would be though, still plenty of below the radar candidates I suppose, would be a step down for him though, he'd have to be really desperate for CL football to do that . Only place that I could really see him at would be Sociedad but they're not in a CL position right now, can't see them getting into one either. -
F and J is all you need to know. Can't even remember which way round it was now. Still scored 95% and didn't get fooled by a single non-word. Got nearly all the tricky buggers as well, then again 20 odd years of state education in the 50s-70s was worth something then.

Not for me, in English football he is distinctly average. I'm hard to please. Bet he's sent packing by Chelsea this summer.
-
Like I ever read preamble and instructions :blush:
-
Retirement I'd think then.
-
When they accepted the Boleyn Group's filthy lucre I expect, it's not named after the queen of 1000 days.
-
I scored 95% but I too thought that some of the words were americanised, to me some of the words were 2 words in all reality.
-
they are average players, that's why one doesn't get much game time and the other has gone from Spurs to Fulham.
-
Depends if Utd think that they can weaken their side today and get away with it in view of their game against Olympiakos on Tuesday or whether they can easily beat Olympiakos and need to put out a full strength team today. Surprised that they haven't been griping about playing at 5.15 when they have to travel to Greece for Tuesday actually. They can't afford to drop too many more points if they really believe that they can finish top 4 (which they won't anyway) so they have to decide whether their best chance of CL football isn't from winning the CL this year (which they won't)
-
So did he sign a pre-contract then ? Who knows really. I'd be looking for someone at least as prolific as Adam and Jay really, a goal every 2.5/3 games or so. Just don't think we need any more AMs, we need strikers and CBs as a priority. Then again as I've said I really don't rate the average German player and Bayern and Borussia hoover up anything of real quality. The Holtbys Schürrles and Marins they can keep.
-
Is that before or after they play or at the end of the season, wouldn't count on Palace beating them today really.
-
No thanks, 40 in 200 is way off a decent strike rate. Let Newcastle have him and we can then try to buy Remy from QPR, Remy is a goal every 2 games or so in the PL. After seeing PSG crush Leverkusen the other day I have come to the opinion that German football in general is vastly overrated.
-
Well yes and no. Apparently some members of the Saints board at the time got duped by a tinpot impostor who said he was acting on behalf of Paul Allen. According to the "fact" at the time he got to analyse the accounts and everything. Pity that whole thread can't be salvaged from whatever the forum was called at that time.
-
But many of the early round games are against lamentably bad opposition where you could in theory put out and extremely weak side and still hope to win.
-
Exactly, personally I wouldn't give any creedence to anything rumoured about West Ham, perhaps they're just trying to influence us in our decision whether to play Lovren or not.
