  1. does it really matter, the primary role of a striker at WHU these days seems to be to knock the ball down for their midfielders following in. They'll find someone to do that I expect. What we need to concentrate on is closing their midfield down and if we can rile Nolan enough to get him sent off again that would be a bonus.
  2. So we go for 6th, not easy but could happen, especially if Everton should beat Arsenal in the Cup. All the scenarios are really in our favour however you look at them, won't mean a thing though unless we can beat teams like West Ham.
  3. Wouldn't say that really, West Ham's remaining fixtures do not look particularly friendly, 8 top 10 teams in their remaining 12 I think and the others are against fellow candidates for the eventual drop. Will depend on Nolan not getting sent off again I expect
  4. why not 6th or even 5th...mind you that would take a lot of wins and only about 2 defeats.
  5. They don't see it because smoke from their burning hatred of Sunderland gets in their eyes.
  6. Bacause at some point in every season you need to look beyond the primary starting XI and have decent players in reserve so that you don't ever have to rely on the likes of KD,Gazzaniga, Danny Fox and Guly Do Prado. Take our side against say Spurs at home with Hooieveld,Gazzaniga and Fox. Draft in say Ustari, Vergini and Dossena and the side is already much improved.
  7. Mauricio is still angry about those that are angry, he says that you are being disrespectful.
  8. Who cares.... it's Stoke
  9. She'd probably start chucking your saucepans around the kitchen floor followed by a bit of energetic sweeping up.
  10. And no Jos... result.
  11. If you insist then. Although I still maintain that if we had their "reserves" instead of ours we'd still be Top 6 (and maybe just even still in the cup) . Keeper is a lot better than either of our other 2, so are plenty of others that they have.
  12. Sunderland won't go down, not with the squad that they now have.
  13. Press conference a bit late starting again then...
  14. Oh FFS:mcinnes::mcinnes: Probably the biggest reason of all for getting a new owner would be the end of this constant confusion.
  15. Utd were never interested in the Cup this year, they already had their Dubai training camp organised for the 5th round dates.Although they'd probably say it was only provisional of course, strange that they got knocked by an injury time winner from Bony though.
  16. If they did do-overs in any form of sport no encounter whatsoever would ever be finally decided. Already half the football games in the UK would have to be played again because one of the managers felt his side was robbed by the ref. We've seen that in the last couple of days, both Arsenal and City virtually eliminated from the CL already and both managers blame the refs. UK refereeing is "special" when teams get continental refs they get penalties and red cards given against them that UK refs just wave away and carry on.
  17. Well we learnt yesterday that he is a big time stock market trader as well as a professional gambler and X-Film stunt man.
  18. 5 perhaps, can't see any more: Gaston,Dejan,Maya,Adam,Luke (perhaps).
  19. Depends, the Cup this year is a hinderance to all those involvved in the WC, the team with the least WC players in it will probably win. FA Cup final 17/5, quite a few WC squads start to assemble on the 19th I think.
  20. Not buying any of the "nothing has changed..business as usual" bolloaks then All depends why Cortese was sacked (not me,ask Toomer) I guess.
  21. And Arsenal and Citeh took the Cup seriously are are now certainly eliminated from the CL.
  22. I wish we had "reserves" like Sunderland's, they beat our first team less 2 players. If we had anything that you could call reserves we'd not be having these discussions every other week.
  23. You are in fact wrong...well half wrong anyway. Under certain circumstances being 7th in the PL could lead to a qualification for the Europa League, those circumstances would also probably mean that we were qualified and the juggernaut Man U weren't. Man U not being in Europe in any way whatsoever would bring about wholesale change in English football and might well be desirable in the long term even if it only changed attitudes for a brief period. Whether those that govern football in the UK would let that happen I just couldn't say.
  24. I saw it stated that we turned down offers for no less than 7 of our players in the last transfer window, can't remember where I saw it though, looked quite genuine.
  25. Zero signings really is not an option. We need to sign at least 4 players if only to make up the numbers. We just cannot go through another passage like that of late last year where we had a complete duffers in goal at LB and at CB. People also need to stop with these illusions about "The Academy" we've pulled out what's useful just now, the rest lost 5-1 to Bournemouth today.
