It's not a mysery at all, he has a contract up until the end of June, I don't think we can loan him out in the UK because of WP considerations and as for an Italian or Spanish club giving him an equal amount of money...well forget it. That's the problem with players who need work permits, you can't loan them out(in the UK) without the new club getting a new permit. West Ham got a WP for Traoré, he didn'tsign for them and Everton had to get a new one. Loans If a player is moving to another club on loan then the new club must make a fresh application before the player can play for them. If the player does not meet the criteria and the club have requested a panel, the panel will be arranged.

The real reason that we sacrificed the cups...

A replay that we couldn't handle anyway, not next Monday evening. Not that Sunderland could either mind you so once they scored all was effectively lost. No PL manager with an effectve squad of about 17 could envisage Saturday/Monday games and after that it would bite into international friendles week when we'd have about 4 senior players available. -
You tell me, I know who the Global Sales Executive is/was, I also know that Tim Field now works for the ITF, other than that I know nothing.
-
Tim Field has been with the ITF since last summer I believe.
-
I can accept that as long as everyone else can, for me it was always one or the other but not both, too many games, too few players.
-
Well Jesus said it was the best team available didn't he ? So those who doubt that should take it up with him. I've no idea why he said that if it was manifestly not correct, only he knows that.I do notice a tendancy developing here though, every time a member of the club staff makes a statement it is rarely taken as gospel, there are always those who are inclined to say the opposite so perhaps we should be worried that club officials are continually making erroneous statements to the fans.

The club is no longer run FOR the fans...............

glad I'm not the only one who went to nigh on every game for a lot of years and yet has never felt that the club should be run for me, or any other fan for that matter. -
Indeed, looks like we got the London Office when we acceded to the dizzy heights of the EPL. Ties in with the Global Sponsorship Executive who has been with the club since October 2012. If he pulled in the deals with Eterna and Sunseeker then I guess he's earnt his crust.

So that would be Jon Don Carolis or someone else ?
-
A rough estimate for even the shabbiest zones will do for me thanks. Anyway from other posts I have surmised that Manchester Utd's London office cost them about 80£ per square foot/annum. Ours which was opposite would be smaller, much smaller.
-
And roughly how much will we be saving here then, quite a lot I expect.
-
As I have just noticed something I've never noticed before I thought I might share it with you on this thread. If we had drawn with Sunderland the replay would have to be Monday next, ie 2 days after our game at West Ham because apparently UEFA has a fairly long standing ban on any National games being played on days when there are CL matches. Now I can see why no-one wanted a replay. Once we went behind it was 2 goals or bust in all reality.

Article 26.3 of FIFAs WC regulations make 3 keepers mandatory, there is no choice in the matter.

Really these nuggets of "fact" need to be backed up or kept to oneself. -

Which you will no doubt be proving to us at some time or other. Same old same old accusations which go contrary to the clubs official statements which basically says they are veiling the truth but various posters know better. Did KL not say she did her best to keep NC on board ? How does that equate with sacking him then ? Let me remind you of the contents of the Official Club Statement: Katharina Liebherr said: "With great regret we have accepted the resignation of Mr Cortese. He has done a wonderful job at the club and we very much wanted him to stay. A search has now begun for a successor. In the meantime, it is business as usual and we will ensure that the manager, the team and all the staff at the club have all the help and support they need." Probably because the Troll Control option has been switched off. People just making wild accusations before the game even finishes in some cases just for their personal amusement.

Morgan and Adam run a bit less than 8 miles each per game, now I know that 8 miles isn't 10 miles but there a plenty who consider their GSR performances of 1hr 40 as the bees nuts. Given that the actual playing time of a game of football must be somewhere around what an hour that means that if these lads were in constant motion for that time they'd be running 7.30 miles which isn't all that bad. Most of it is sprinting though and you'll have difficulty finding a sprinter who runs 120 or so 100 metre reps in a single training session. That's Lydiard run until you drop and then run some more training. People need to go and try it, go on go to the Sports Centre and run 120 x100 m reps in 90 minutes, that's one every 80 seconds.

Looks like a handy job for those of that leaning. -

In your opinion, personally I don't care for the idea that the club has untrustworthy senior employees who are prepared to divulge personal information being spread about, we shall see how they consider that. I respectfully suggest that you refer to the original post on this thread where it is clearly stated that a senior club official has been divulging confidential information, I personally am implying nothing.. -

Doesn't matter, it's not denigratory. The point here is that it's being stated that MP played a lesser side simply because he thinks it better to obtain personal reward as a result. That's denigratory, saying someone has a contract of XK£ per annum if he wants isn't. Club sources are invoked, in Lambert's case it could well be an agent of family member. It just isn't the same thing at all. You must see that a "high up in the club " staffer being accused of leaking information to all and sundry isn't acceptable, why it's Edward Snowden all over again. -

Bit of a spoof there then, you forget to mention the bonus ffs. -
Defeat ? will depend on who exactly we play in attack, Lambert will get nothing from their CBs and we may need something a bit more lively. Want to see Gallagher again myself, ran the Arsenal pair ragged.

The club is no longer run FOR the fans...............
Window Cleaner replied to Fitzhugh Fella's topic in The Saints
Personally I have never known the club to have been run "for the fans". I've been going (on and off )for 50+ years and I've never thought of the club being run for me. The club have a team, play football, try to win, try to make the team better. Whether or not I chose to pay my money to go and watch them is up to me, when I don't go they don't miss me, someone else goes instead. As long as the PL keeps dobbing us 75 million or so every year then it makes no difference. Supporters will go because they like going to watch games but there should never be any illusion that you are an integral part of the club per se.
