I think you might have to look back to the C1C teams to find a base line weak team, you know with Tadanari Lee, Fox etc. -
Why would they do that, don't think Guly was a particular favourite of Adkins'

Anyway Mauricio was out on the training ground assessing players. I see that Fran Hunter seems to have been promoted to working with the first team as well, that's quite recent isn't it? -

Most seem to be convinced that Saturday is only a formality because err we're better than them and the fact that we've had a tough game (sorry no it was a stroll in the park apparently) on Tuesday and they had no game at all doesn't even enter into the equation.Still think we're in for a toughy myself and that we may or may not win. -
Apparently what you need in the Uk is more beaver can't see how that would help, ah right sorry beavers to dam rivers and stuff, that makes more sense then..

Perez always does the Cup interviews, gives the interpreter a day off I suppose. Seeing as Mauricio did the pre and post match Hull interviews it's quite normal that Jesus steps up a bit. It was known in advance anyway, whoever was asking the question in the Hull post match knew that Mauricio wouldn't be present for the Cup pre-match because he asked questions about it during the Hull post match. Anyway why change a winning formula, worked ok for the 1st 2 rounds. -

Doubt if Maya will be available, they play NZ in Tokyo Wednesday 5th March so that's a hell of a hike for him between the Liverpool game on 1/3 and an eventual Cup game on the 8th or 9th. Still if we have José and Dejan that might not be so bad but at the end of the day it will be the same 17 players assuming the responsibility so any injuries wouldn't do us any good. -
Honestly his contribution has been minimal all season, he's in the squad regularly because there is no-one else, we have 14 fit senior pros at this moment including the reserve keeper. As everything useful has been taken out of the development group already and the rest of it has U21 league games there's no other option than to use the outdated and surpassed. When Dejan and Gaston are fit again we shall see if Guly gets into the matchday 18. I very much doubt it myself. When they're all fit there's no place for Guly. Desirable Matchday 18: AB KD NC CC LS DL JF MY MS JC VW AL GR JR RL SG JWP SD. So no place for Guly or Jos.

As I said too many games and too few players to play in them. In reality we need some of the fringe players like Guly and Jos to be of a sufficient level to assume starting roles from time to time to give the others a break but as they're obviously bit part and last ditch part players now we have effectively 12 senior pros and 3 good youngsters (plus Gallagher perhaps) to assume the responsibility of 2 games a week. I see that Gaston and Dejan have been ruled out for Saturday already so that leaves us with either the same starting XI + Victor or risk starting a lesser player against a side with fresh legs and a bigger squad. Tired players at the end of tough games also risk injuries and bookings as well, Morgan got a silly booking on Tuesday because he was dead on his feet (plus an iffy pass to him). All this will mount up and we'll fade before the end of the campaign as likely as not, especially when you count in the midweek international friendlies at the start of March. -
because he's out of contract and I can't see any reason at all for us to give him a new one. If he was anywhere near PL level he'd have been preferred to the clown Gazzaniga when we had no other choice.
-
Still don't think it's likely to happen. The rise is in the past, courtesy contracts for ageing heroes probably went out of the door with Cortese. They've been costing us a packet and now they're all being shipped out. Expect a good old clear out this summer myself, starting with Gazza and Cropper..neither of them is obviously good enough for the PL.

Smalling plays at RB for Utd pretty often, played there after half time last night when Fabio went off and Ferdinand came on, he's not at all bad at it and it gives and extra place elsewhere in the squad. -
You haven't been paying attention then Phil, they've been up to their asses in floodwater in Morlaix since before Christmas. Finistere takes a battering about once a week at the moment but they're used to it and everything carries on as usual. My lad's car got washed away last week but he's out boating just now so I'll not tell him until he gets back.

We shall see but to me at least 3 or 4 looked dead on their feet after 80 minutes on Tuesday evening. If they can recover so much the better. -
think his time with Saints is past actually, perhaps he could get a couple of years at Bournemouth though.

We may be better but Tuesday night's game will have taken it's toll and they've had a free week. I'm afraid that fatigue will be the undoing of us, too many games...too few players. -

Gus says otherwise, mind you he's a Uruguayan so perhaps it's best not to take heed of whatever he says. http://www1.skysports.com/football/news/11695/9164006/fa-cup-sunderland-boss-gus-poyet-will-make-changes-against-southampton -
makes sense then.

Strange that Citeh's game is off but Everton's isn't. How far is it from Manchester to Liverpool then ? 30 miles..a bit less ?
-
don't fancy the same end to our league campaign though W3 D4 L5, we need to do better than that. Turn the Ws and the Ls around and that would match my rough estimate for the last 12 games.
-
Maya is 6ft 2" well according to the OS he is anyway.
-
If we're still in the Cup there will be plenty of scope for rotation as there are international friendlies to consider as well. As Maya will no doubt be called up for Japan as usual for their game in Tokyo against New Zealand mid week that will probably rule him out of 1 game, perhaps even 2.

Not for Roger, a good Saints side is Lambert and 10 others, thought you'd know that by now. -
