  1. Chelsea eventually paid the price for their airy-fairy, give it to Hazard attitude in the first half. If they'd have scored when they had a fair few good chances Everton would probably not have ramped it up in the second half. Anyway Sarri needs sacking, his systems will never, ever bring success in the Premier League. Kanté is probably the world's best number 6 but Sarri insists on playing Jorghino there with Kanté in a number 8 role.
  2. 3 already did I believe. Can't remember the exact details but I expect they were representing big leave constituencies.
  3. Depends, yesterday there were 242 for and 75 conservatives against . 633 total votants. Must have been 17 abstentionists or non- presents then. So if the 75 conservative againsters voted for and everything else remained the same that would give 317 of 633, ie a majority. Think there was at least 1 conservative absentee for personal reason so if the rebels all came into line the government could win without the DUP.
  4. They all need to be tried where they were captured or surrendered by whatever judicial authority exists there. Fair trial, fair defence and take whatever punishment those tribunals demand.
  5. Why would smoke be coming from the rear of any plane though, the engines are towards the front. If there really was smoke and a strange noise then it wouldn't at all surprise me if it's a terrorist jobby with all those diplomats on board. Then again sitings of MH370 were about everywhere.
  6. Well then they're just idiots. They just need to ask any expat who has residual income from the UK, let alone those who retired to Spain and Portugal with no local income whatsoever. I know a few, they're nigh on 20% down now. Some have even had to get loans from their kids instead of the usual vice-versa.
  7. Agreed but the hard Brexiteers just don't seem to be able to grasp this off the bat. I have no idea what they're expecting to happen from tomorrow onwards. There are about what 80-90 of them and they need 325 or so for a majority in the Commons. Brexit just won't happen, which kind of suits me although I'm pretty hacked off about all the money I've lost due to the fall in Sterling.
  8. Well as expected the deal will be voted down his evening. Myself I don't really see the difference in being "trapped" in the EU by the Irish Backstop or being trapped in the EU for want of a majority to leave in the Commons because that's what it's going to come down to in the end. So 3 years and god knows how much money wasted on nothing whatsoever. In the words of Hotel California, you can check out any time you want but you can never leave.
  9. Jingoistic tub thumping. This is how it will go: This evenings vote will reject the deal on offer. Tomorrow's will vote against a no-deal Brexit. After that there will be a short delay voted which will bring about absolutely nothing. Then there will be another referendum which will go the way of Remain or a General Election. In either case the result will be the same and Brexit Leave voters will have been shafted by Northern Ireland.
  10. Close the thread...you ain't leaving.
  11. So according to Barnier, The UK can leave the Customs Union unilaterally but Northern Ireland remains a bit of a problem. Get those vote calculators out then.
  12. Well they play in all red shirts don't they.
  13. Don't know about that, the top guys are making a lot of dollars. The highest paid gets in the 7-8 million dollar a year region. Ralph doesn't even make a million a year with us.
  14. Depends what the alternative might be surely.
  15. Do Red Bull actually sponsor anything of any consequence in the UK ?
  16. Saints aren't playing in European Competitions just now. We'll see how the EPL implements the rules next season.
  17. https://ichef.bbci.co.uk/onesport/cps/624/cpsprodpb/A248/production/_105944514_tv052787126.jpg Justly, his arm wasn't in a natural position. UEFA is quite, quite clear about it. He's blocking the shot, just like they told him to in the U11s at Montfermeil or somewhere like that. Players learn to cheat at a very young age and UEFA are stamping it out. Good for them. If he doesn't turn his back there wouldn't be a penalty..
  18. Well if they help you by jumping and flailing their arms, seek no further.
  19. There must be some back alley Asian internet bookie who wants to throw money at us surely.
  20. There you go again. English referees interpreting the rules as they see them. For UEFA it's clearer. Handball in the box deflects shot= Penalty. Some of the scything tackles you see week in, week out in the PL would be straight reds in most other championships. The football is better in the UK, it's closer to the old game but it's not really in accordance with modern rules applied elsewhere.
  21. Yes, I watched the game. Now to me, without having seen any Hawkeye or DRS like projections, the shot is going into the top corner of the goal. Kipkembe blocks it by increasing his body surface by flailing his arm and a penalty is the nailed on decision. Qatar FC deserve everything they get, they're making a mockery of FFP and football in general. 600 million euros spent and the still can't beat United reserves.
  22. Looks good. Scores 50 or more one innings in 3 from the stats. I see it's only for the first part of the season though.
  23. Perhaps not.
  24. I explained your hypothesis. It's all standard reglementary stuff available on the government website. Begum was a British Citizen otherwise you can't strip her of it. At 15 when she left I doubt if she had any real status at all anyway. I don't know about the Uk nowadays but here in France the kids have to do a couple of days "Preparation de la Defense" Just involves hanging around in barracks or government offices, having a nice lunch or two and watching some videos. At the end they get a sort of certificate and without this you can't enroll for GCEs or the University or a driving licence. Going to bumped up to a month on and off soon and those who refuse will be in sort of no mans land. They'll be citizens but with few basic rights..
