  1. No, I've not much time for him, he's where he wanted to be, let him stay there.
  2. I see that Sturridge is out of tomorrow night's game as likely as not, does that increase the chances of all of our lads getting a game again ?
  3. nah they'll buy a foreigner, probably someone from Real Madrid. Who was the last home produced talent that Chelsea bought ? Having said that they must be dangerously close to not having enough home produced players in their squad once Cole,Lampard,Terry etc hang up their boots. I've even heard a name doing the rounds Ricardo Rodriguez who oddly enough and despite his name (which is why I was thnking Real Madrid) plays for Wolfsburg. He'll cost them far less than Luke Shaw.
  4. I think he's saying that 2 of our most venerable posters fox cats but that his spelling isn't too sharp.
  5. A good run then, told you you'd be OK. So much energy is burnt up with the crap mass start conditions at Great Runs and the like that you can usually perform way in advance of what you'd expect based on them at "smaller" events.
  6. Normal really, MPo was a top player who played in Europe. Bielsa was pretty average as a player, few games for Newells and then minor S.Am leagues. Thus MPo has a wealth of playing experience to transform Bielsa's systems into his own variants.
  7. Samba was sold for nigh on as much as he cost, you need to look at Hughes signings to understand the case. Harry has had a good old clear-out and QPR are far better for it.
  8. Occasionally words must serve to veil the facts. But let this happen in such a way that no one become aware of it; or, if it should be noticed, excuses must be at hand to be produced immediately. from the 16th century guru that still guides most of them, what can you expect.
  9. Britton, Cleverly....there's a lot of strange selection ideas here. Neither of them are good enough to dispute a World Cup finals campaign. Honestly and I know this won't go down well I'd take Delph above either of those and that's saying something.
  10. Looks as if we're over half-way there then, last night's game was crying our for players like Morgan and Flamini, technical ability coupled with a smidgeon of EPL nastiness to give the Ukrainians a bit of their own medicine. The French were crap, unsurprising because it was all DDs binkies.
  11. shows what a brain dead job in a call centre can do for you.
  12. Too old, we don't buy old men.
  13. Wouldn't get a starting place with us, same as at Arsenal really. Anyway it's just a load of paper/agent crap. He won't come back and we wouldn't want him. Just hope they've finished paying for him that's all.
  14. Probably why the Spanish have changed their traditional dark blue shorts to red shorts (thus an all red kit) for the World Cup.
  15. Just pointless whingeing from a team that's not doing as well as they might have hoped.
  16. Latka the Latvian (or was it Lithuanian) mechanic from Taxi. Jeez you should remember that with your brain age of 34.
  17. minor muscular injury, training was probably too easy for our lads.
  18. so did John Stonehouse. Happens more often than you'd think. Easy way out. Insurance pays up and you start all over somewhere else. I'd wager that at least let's say 10 9/11 missing are still alive and kicking somewhere or other, there are even a couple of people who weren't careful enough and got caught. They were probably undisciplined idiots but for those caught there are probably 5 or 10 times as many who weren't.
  19. hah, we're a big club, pulling our players out friendlies.
  20. For a start he isn't a winger.
  21. Usual "big club" behaviour for friendly internationals, just think we'll be able to pull our lads out of the England squad next year for broken fingernails and scratched knees, we'll be a "big club" by then..
  22. plays a very deep role for Uruguay, almost a CM. Jordan were absolute rubbish, Gillingham are probably better. Mind you I think they kicked 12 players, including the captain and the first choice keeper out of the squad for smoking during a training camp so perhaps they didn't want to go to Brazil at all. Unless they wipe the slate clean on that before the return leg they'd be better off not turning up in Montevideo..
  23. And finishing 17th in the NPC ?
  24. The word Soccer originated in the paths of dalliance at Oxford, Soccer and Rugger , real people have never called it anything other than football.
  25. Art of War, never let your opponents know what you're saying.
