close,1960 with dirt great leather boots with nailed on leather studs. Remember my Grandad buying them for me in Toomers, way too big of course but as all shoes needed at least 2 years growing room in them in those days ..............

Well as he's their second keeper and Lloris is making his fair share of fecks up right now I can't see them loaning him out and certainly not to a rival. I mean I'd ask Lille to loan us Eneayama but I don't think they'd be all that keen either. We'd probably get someone who's no better than Cropper anyway.

No added nonsense...can't be the same bear then.

What on the Holy Ground of Riverside Park (formerly known as Bitterne Park Rec) where the outrageous footballing talent of Young Window Cleaner (aged 5) was first revealed to the watching world.

perhaps he has some sort of life crisis http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/magazine-25120783

what he did us a favour and deprived us of his incessant bulls*it voluntarily for a few months? Wonders will never cease.

And just about every other thread, I suppose 110% got unbanned yesterday and is now boring us crapless with his incessant trolling. Should have been banned permanently mods or even longer.

What about if we swapped him for Carlos Vela and a few bob, who'd think that was good ? Personally if Sociedad really want him I'd hold out for Griezmann. I like Griezmann, not fussed about Vela though..

not a closet racist, just a bona-fidé little Englander expatriot.

Watched a bit of Verona-Fiorentina yesterday, out of 7 goals 5 were from shots outside the box, one was just inside and the other was a penalty. The amount of time and space the shooters had to tee up and pick their spot just doesn't exist in the PL. I mean it must look fantastic on YouTube clips but it's nothing to do with real football, more like Subbuteo. As MPo says today, Dani needs more time to adjust to the intensity of our game.

Isn't he supposed to be ill ?

If Gazzaniga was considered to be of any use at all he'd have replaced KD on our bench this season. He hasn't so that tends to indicate to me that the coaching staff have no confidence in him whatsover. He looked totally lost when he came on on Sunday and if we have to play him for the next matches I can see some howlers on the horizon. If he plays against Citeh I'd go and dump a big sum on a tsunami of goals conceded by Saints, say 7 or 8. A truly woeful player, should be in League 1 or 2 where he belongs, trouble is we probably pay him far too much for him to be of any interest to a lower league side.

I think Morgan is out for a while, think he's been carrying an injury for a while now and to put the absolutely feather duster JWP in DM all by himself is just absurd, but then you knew that didn't you..
-
Depends on KD's status, if he's injured or ill as his absence on Sunday and last week would tend to suggest then we're down to one first team keeper. I've no idea of Cropper's status so perhaps we have to count him as "active" as well.

A tough decision indeed, pick one out of two bad keepers. Toss a coin, both will let us down equally badly.

Probably because the prices are tempting for the quality you'd expect from their performances there. I'd think that after this summer's disater buys all across the PL board most recruiters will be thinking twice about players from Italy in the future. Premier League clubs must have dumped about 200 million towards the Calcio last summer and I'd doubt that there's a single success story. -
Our players are too expensive for most sides. They're all on long term contracts and Cortese drives a hard bargain apparently so I'd expect clubs who are short in certain sectors to look elsewhere. Lovren is a good player but NC wll ask upwards of 15 million so I'd doubt that he'll be a really attractive prospect to most, not when you could get players like Mangala for half of that.. Probably not as good obviously but a third choice centre half is a third choice centre half. The only advantage for top clubs to buy from clubs like Saints is that anyone they did buy would be immediately available for the CL whereas cheaper options playing in what I'd call minor leagues won't be.

Is KD even fit ? Could be Gazza in goal with Cropper on the bench on Wednesday if he isn't.
-
could he really be any worse than JWP yesterday ? I'd say notoriety has gone to JWP's head, he was useless yesterday and his much vaunted set piece kicks were a total waste of time.
-
Gaston is on his way out, don't see him ever starting for us again, unless we run out of fit players that is.
-
I'd even pick Cropper, can't be any worse than Gazza.

Well I'd say that it's because the 12.8 million £ striker that we bought to overcome that exact problem has scored just 1 goal in all the games he's played this season. English football is too fast and too intense for players of his sort. To highlight this: One of the experts commenting yesterday's game for Canal+ had been talking to Dejan in the week. Apparently he (Dejan) said that he liked PL football because real tackles were permitted to the extent that what passes for a typical ordinary tackle here would get you 3 years in prison in France or Italy. There's a real why very few players from Italy make the grade in the UK and chairmen need to take heed of it. Osvaldo might be worth 13 million to an Italian or Sanish club but he's not worth that here, expect him to be gone in January along with Gaston, neither will want damage their WC chances by not scoring in the PL. To be a really good PL striker you need to be extremely fast or extremely robust, Osvaldo is neither. -

Mayuka? He's absolute rubbish at Sochaux which is a league 1 side at best apart from Corchia that is. He's been put out to grass for a reason. -
Is neither an option ?? Neither controls the area well enough for the PL, for me it's Hobson's choice and thus just doesn't matter which one gets the nod, both will be disastrously shyte.

Cabaye is only still at Newcastle because he was injured last summer. There's a big bag of Qatari cash already sitting on the table at St James Park just waiting for the 1st January to be opened. Cabaye to PSG is a done deal, they'll fall apart without him.
