  1. thought Kompany was out for a few weeks, Touré I wouldn't worry about, he'll have gotten into the false rhythm that African sides play at and will be way off the pace.
  2. you can watch it on streams but it's a bit boring.
  3. The 5 day rule only applies (or can be applied at the discretion of the national federation) if a player fails to show up without a good reason. If they have acknowledged injuries which may or may not get better by the following match the rule doesn't apply. It depends if the federation approves the reason for not accepting the selection and even then it depends if they're miffed about it.. So in Gaston's case a dead leg might prevent him from travelling to wherever it is and training or playing on Wednesday but be healed up enough to play on Saturday. Shaw turned up anyway so that depends on what he has and I don't know about Clyne. Clyne is the least of our worries anyway. Corker does a bloody good job at RB and we have Davis in reserve to replace him.
  4. I don't know, you'd have to ask Man U or Arsenal supporters that, they must be real experts. I know that German clubs have pulled at least half of the players that originally made up the selection for the friendly against France tomorrow.
  5. Maybe, maybe not, clubs pull players from friendly internationals for very little as a rule. Anyway England U21s wasn't a good place to be this week as Phil Jones has shingles, that's an adult form of chickenpox I think.
  6. Probably not with just a year and a bit left on his contract no. Will eventually replace Carrick at Utd but I don't know when.
  7. since last Saturday, that's why he was subbed, same as Gaston.
  8. Hah, typical Liverpool, goalie bribed to let in at least 3 and they can only score 1.
  9. Because he probably has some impressive looking stuff on his CV from Scotland. no-one realises just how crap Scottish football is nowadays. I mean even Skacel scored goals there.
  10. Newcastle already had him signed up for the summer apparently on a free but they just accelerated the move a bit for a fee of 3 million euros. His trouble is that he's inconsistent, right now everything is new and shiny, wait a while and he'll more than likely put in a dire performance or three. This is what puts top level recruitment off, they want the same performance game in game out for their 20 million.
  11. but we have just the match on Saturday and then another 2 week break. City haven't looked great of late and if we can get something out of that match we can recover and regroup for the Reading game on the 23 rd.
  12. Take away the penalties and work it out again. Gerrard and Lampard take England's penalties I think. Lambert is 8+3 don't know how that compares with the other hotshots.
  13. I believe a few people actually prefer Totton and Eastleigh because they feel closer to those sides. Nothing wrong with that.
  14. there were 75600 present at the Man U -Saints game so I guess they can spare a few for CoMFC. What do Eastleigh and Totton get now ?
  15. seems that the total attendance at Buxton last week-end was 1121. Didn't Road-Sea used to get about 500 ?
  16. season is too short, not enough games for the majority of teams. 20 out of 32 teams are done after 17 weeks.
  17. and that died out when they started being successful again I think. Old Traff is always full so I doubt if the directors worry too much about FC Manchester anyway.
  18. it's not about the teams, it's about the refs. If you want to work it all out and go all Hercule Poirot you need to follow the refs. Hungariian,Turkish,Slovenian whatever, that's what will tell you matches are fixed, it's not about players per se.
  19. it's a joke, Blackadder is a TV comedy
  20. and did we use Richardson on Saturday when Clyne was injured? Don't think so although he might not even have been on the bench.
  21. no it doesn't; you need to watch these accusations.
  22. Cork would eventually go to right-back as usual. I happen to think he's quite good there and we have midfield options. City might well be depleted as well.
  23. so it looks as if Ranger's use of the tax trust scheme wasn't illegal at all. Love to see them sue the HMR+C for all they've got. Then again I don't live in the UK
  24. she should have mixed the poison with some strawberry jam and put whipped cream on top of it. Amateurs.......
  25. people who put things in bold type need to get their facts straight. Ramirez is 22 Luke Shaw on the other hand is 17 This is to do with adapting to EPL football though, no other league in the world is like it. Plus I think since his "single leg Arkwright" on Wilshere Gaston has got a reputation as a dirty player who gets as good as he gives.
